Who is Galen Hooks?
The ultimate multi-hyphenate (dancer-choreographer-creative director-producer-singer/songwriter-actress-host), she is a chameleon who defies genre and can seamlessly shift between roles both in front of and behind the camera. Whether she's photographing, styling, choreographing, performing, directing, or producing, she has an eye for detail and storytelling that she breathes into every project. Presently, Galen has worked with over 60 artists, including Janet Jackson, Justin Bieber, Britney Spears, Usher, Chris Brown, The Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, Rihanna, Banks, Grimes, and John Legend.
Who is Kiiara?
After being signed under Atlantic Records and changing to her stage name, Kiiara released her debut single "Gold" in June 2015. It peaked at number five in Australia, where it was certified Platinum. Her debut EP, low kii savage, was released on March 22, 2016. The official music video for "Gold", published on March 21, 2016, quickly garnered popularity and reached five million views by mid-May 2016.

Galen Hooks
Galen Hooks (born November 19, 1985) is an American choreographer, dancer, actress, songwriter, and photographer. She entered the entertainment business at age seven after her dance group won Star Search. She has worked with Janet Jackson, Justin Bieber, Britney Spears, Chris Brown, Rihanna, Miley Cyrus, Ne-Yo, and Usher. Galen is best known for being one of Janet Jackson's dancers, for her Nike campaigns, for being a dancer and choreographer for The LXD (The Legion of Extraordinary Dancers), and for playing Diamond Eye and Pretti Sinclair in recording artist Ne-Yo's "Beautiful Monster", "Champagne Life", and "One in a Million" music videos. She was also the associate co-choreographer for the international tour of Dreamgirls and its run at the Apollo Theater in New York.
Hooks is currently the head choreographer for the hit Nickelodeon show "How To Rock" starring Cymphonique Miller.
She is now expanding beyond dance and choreography into Creative Direction and Producing. She was the Supervising Choreographer under the master creative director Jamie King on season 3 of X-Factor USA and the Associate Creative Producer with Brian Burke on America's Got Talent.

Aelius Galenus or Claudius Galenus (/ɡəˈliːnəs/;Greek: Κλαύδιος Γαληνός; September 129 AD – c. 200/c. 216), often Anglicized as Galen and better known as Galen of Pergamon (/ˈɡeɪlən/), was a prominent Greek physician, surgeon and philosopher in the Roman empire. Arguably the most accomplished of all medical researchers of antiquity, Galen influenced the development of various scientific disciplines, including anatomy,physiology, pathology,pharmacology, and neurology, as well as philosophy and logic.
The son of Aelius Nicon, a wealthy architect with scholarly interests, Galen received a comprehensive education that prepared him for a successful career as a physician and philosopher. Born in Pergamon (present-day Bergama, Turkey), Galen traveled extensively, exposing himself to a wide variety of medical theories and discoveries before settling in Rome, where he served prominent members of Roman society and eventually was given the position of personal physician to several emperors.

Britney Jean Spears (born December 2, 1981) is an American singer and actress. Born in McComb, Mississippi, and raised in Kentwood, Louisiana, she performed acting roles in stage productions and television shows as a child before signing with Jive Records in 1997. Subscribe! http://www.youtube.com/galenhooks -------------- The "Choreographer's Carnival" is a choreographer's showcase. Jan 2017 marked the 18th Anniversary of this staple in the dance community. This Carnival piece features 23 women who have taken "THE GALEN HOOKS METHOD" intensives. These intensives share my approach to dance as an art form and as a business. Around 200 students have taken these intensives so far in LA, NY, London, Amsterdam and Toronto. The purpose of this piece was to allow some alumni to take the stage together and have the freedom to be themselves on stage. I wanted to showcase what I got to witness when they attended my intensives- the ability to be completely unique, authentic and free while still being sexy, powerful and womanly. The women you see performing are alumni from around the world, including LA, St Louis, Toronto, Amsterdam, and New York, and some of them had never performed in Los Angeles before, let alone at Carnival. I can not be more proud of how well they did, and the experience was nothing but pleasant from the first rehearsal until we got off stage. Thank you to everyone in the audience who cheered for us- we felt the love and it made for such a special experience for these women. Thank you to Carnival for continuing to have this necessary platform! The ultimate multi-hyphenate (dancer-choreographer-creative director-producer-singer/songwriter-actress-host), she is a chameleon who defies genre and can seamlessly shift between roles both in front of and behind the camera. The "Choreographer's Carnival" is a choreographer's showcase. Jan 2017 marked the 18th Anniversary of this staple in the dance community.
This Carnival piece features 23 women who have taken "THE GALEN HOOKS METHOD" intensives. These intensives share my approach to dance as an art form and as a business.
Around 200 students have taken these intensives so far in LA, NY, London, Amsterdam and Toronto.
The purpose of this piece was to allow some alumni to take the stage together and have the freedom to be themselves on stage. I wanted to showcase what I got to witness when they attended my intensives- the ability to be completely unique, authentic and free while still being sexy, powerful and womanly.
The women you see performing are alumni from around the world, including LA, St Louis, Toronto, Amsterdam, and New York, and some of them had never performed in Los Angeles before, let alone at Carnival.
I can not be more proud of how well they did, and the experience was nothing but pleasant from the first rehearsal until we got off stage.
Thank you to everyone in the audience who cheered for us- we felt the love and it made for such a special experience for these women.
Thank you to Carnival for continuing to have this necessary platform!

Pulling in experiences starting when she was only 7 years old, Galen and I sat down and talked about everything from self discipline, class etiquette, teacher/student responsibilities in the classroom, working with her icons, her work as an activist, and the state of the dance game now. A United States official said that an American HH-60 Pave Hawk helicopter crashed on Thursday in western Iraq, warning that at least some abroad at the time of the crash were killed, according to ABC News.
