Detectives VS. Sleuths, directed by Ka-Fai Wai, was released this July, and its box office has exceeded 500 million yuan. It’s praised as one of the best Hong Kong films in recent years. For Hong Kong drama lovers, Ka-Fai Wai is a God-like figure. Growing up in a public apartment, he did part-time jobs in summer vacations as a teenager, and later became a renowned scriptwriter at 27.
