The story is set on an oil platform in the North Sea. We follow the employees and their, at times, difficult relationships both at work and in the spare time. The main line of conflict is between popular and smart union boss Torbjorn Lindbaek and the corrupt company boss Hroar Torgersen who wants to give the drilling contract to an American company run by his father-in-law. Of course Lindbaek and Torgersen have also had their share of disagreements in the past...

Nach seiner Fertigstellung im Sommer 2014 wird er 400 MW Leistung liefern und 1,4 Milliarden Kilowatt Ökostrom produzieren: Die Stadtwerke München (SWM) halten 25 Prozent an Global Tech I, was etwa dem Jahresverbrauch von 140.000 Münchner Haushalten entspricht. Der Windpark ist damit ein wesentlicher Bestandteil der SWM Ausbauoffensive Erneuerbare Energien.
Bevor der Park Strom produzieren kann, müssen die Einzelteile für die Anlage hergestellt und zusammengefügt werden. Sie werden mit einem Installationsschiff zum Baufeld transportiert. Eine große Herausforderung ist vor allem die stabile Verankerung auf dem Meeresboden.

Matt Beechinor's (aka "Farmer") dream of 5 years is realized when he and Gavin McClurg fly out to the stunning and very rarely flown Pioneer Mountains in Sun Valley for an evening glass off and land at the Pioneer cabin, built in 1937. In the air they are joined by local pilots Nate Scales, Donnie Saver, and Charlie Karel. Matt and Gavin extend the dream and fly back to town the next day...and the journey continues.

Surfing the Sierras
"A highly engineered piece of fabric, some impossibly skinny lines, a harness big enough to hold some emergency gear, food and water, a radio, gps, vario, a sleeping bag and a mountain range in California that stretches over 800 kilometers. And a few knuckleheads who think it's possible."

Following detailed technical and environmental site studies, ScottishPower Renewables (SPR) has confirmed that they will not be taking forward their lease option to develop the Argyll Array Offshore Windfarm in the near future.
