Theta Xi Fraternity and Alpha Sigma Tau Sorority presents "Where is the love" The 2007 Greek Date Auction / Habitat for Humanity Spring Break Service Trip. The event raised over $3300 for hurricane victoms in three hours and had 240 hours of service time donated in order to help one family have a home. Twenty Nine people auctioned off from different Twenty Eight UIC Greek Organization and was attended by over 400 people. There were so many people in fact that the event was stand room only. "Where is the Love" was front page news and was recorded and shown on RHA TV making this event the largest piece of positive publicity that the UIC Greek Community has ever had. Both Theta Xi Fraternity and Alpha Sigma Tau Sorority worked to see this event become a reality, from recruiting the dates to shooting the interviews to producing and hosting the show. This event was no small task, but what is more important was impact that fund raised by auction had on the life of one family.
