A razor is a bladed tool primarily used in the removal of unwanted body hair through the act of shaving. Kinds of razors include straight razors, disposable razor, and electric razors.

While the razor has been in existence since before the Bronze Age (the oldest razor like-object has been dated to 18,000 B.C.), its modern counterpart was invented in the 18th century, and the 1930s saw the invention of electric razors. In the 21st century, the safety razor – electric or not – is most commonly used by both men and women, but other kinds still exist.

History

Razors have been identified from many Bronze Age cultures. These were made of bronze or obsidian and were generally oval in shape, with a small tang protruding from one of the short ends.

Various forms of razors were used throughout history, which are different in appearance but similar in use to modern straight razors. In prehistoric times clam shells, shark teeth, and flint were sharpened and used to shave with. Drawings of such blades were found in prehistoric caves. Some tribes still use blades made of flint to this day. Excavations in Egypt have unearthed solid gold and copper razors in tombs dating back to the 4th millennium BC. The Roman historian Livy reported that the razor was introduced in ancient Rome in the 6th century BC. by legendary king Lucius Tarquinius Priscus. Priscus was ahead of his time because razors did not come to general use until a century later.

Jeff Hardy

Jeffrey Nero "Jeff" Hardy (born August 31, 1977) is an American professional wrestler, singer-songwriter, painter and musician. He is best known for his work with World Wrestling Federation/Entertainment (WWF/E) and is currently signed to Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA).

Before gaining prominence in WWE, Hardy performed for the Organization of Modern Extreme Grappling Arts (OMEGA), a promotion he ran with his brother Matt. After being signed by WWE, the brothers worked as jobbers, before gaining notoriety in the tag team division, partly due to their participation in Tables, Ladders, and Chairs matches. With the addition of Lita, the team became known as Team Xtreme and continued to rise in popularity. As a tag team wrestler, Hardy is an eight-time world tag team champion (six World Tag Team Championships, one WCW Tag Team Championship, and one TNA World Tag Team Championship) – all with his brother Matt.

Hardy has also experienced success as a singles wrestler; he is a six-time world champion, having held the TNA World Heavyweight Championship three times, the WWE Championship once and WWE's World Heavyweight Championship twice. Within WWE he also held the Intercontinental Championship four times, the Light Heavyweight and European Championships once each and the Hardcore Championship three times, making him the eighteenth Triple Crown Champion and the tenth Grand Slam Champion in company history. Between WWE and TNA, Hardy has won 23 total championships.

Jeff Jarrett

Jeffrey Leonard "Jeff" Jarrett (born April 14, 1967) is an American professional wrestler, wrestling promoter, and co-founder of Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA), which he founded along with his father, Jerry, and more recently, Global Force Wrestling (GFW). He is also well known from his multiple runs in World Championship Wrestling (WCW) and World Wrestling Federation (WWF) during the 1990s.

A third-generation wrestler, Jarrett has held 74 total championships in various promotions throughout his career. He has held six NWA World Heavyweight Championships, four WCW World Heavyweight Championships, and one AAA Mega Championship. His NWA title reigns occurred within TNA, under his co-ownership of the company.

He achieved notable championship success in the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), becoming a six-time Intercontinental Champion (a record from 1999–2004), and one of four men to hold both the Intercontinental and European Championships simultaneously. He is the only wrestler to be a three-time King of the Mountain match winner in TNA, and also won Mexican promotion Asistencia Asesoría y Administración's (AAA) Rey de Reyes tournament in 2004 (making him the only wrestler to win both King of the Mountain and Rey de Reyes).
