Jorhat
Jorhat () is one of the largest town in the Indian state of Assam. Jorhat was established as the new capital in the closing years of the 18th century by the decaying and declining Tunkhungia Ahom Dynasty. Jorhat, as the name signifies, was just a couple (Jor) of markets (Hat). Two parallel markets namely, Chowkihut and Macharhut, lay on the eastern and the western banks of the river Bhogdoi. I have attached here Tune of the melodious and "Natkhat" Song from the FILM : LAGAAN of 2001 which I played on my Flute. So far I had been playing very old songs on my Flute. So now I thought let me present a relatively new song and then I thought of this Lagaan Song. Music for this song was brilliantly composed by Maestro and Today's Best Music Director "JAI HO" Fame ARRehman. He composed this song in Raga Bhimpalasi which is his favorite Raga next to his most favorite Raga Piloo. Some of the Famous Songs in Raga Bhimapalasi are old Song "Eri Main To Premdiwani" (Film : Naubahar), Khilate Hai Gul Yahan (Film : Sharmilee), "Mere Man Ka Baawara Panchhi from (Film : Amar Deep). Lyrics of the Lagaan Song "Madhuban Me Jo" were written by today's outstanding lyricist Javed Akhtar. In this song, he depicted why Radha was Jealous of Lord Krishna since he was famous to do "CHED CHAAD" (or FUN) with Gopikas sometimes in front of Radha herself and sometimes in the absence of Radha. Madhuban
Madhuban (মধুবন) is a small area of Jorhat Town and is under Jorhat municipality Board. The only road passed through Madhubon is Madhuban Path. Madhuban Path connects two important roads of Jorhat, Malow Ali and Choladhara road. Madhuban is about 1.5 km far from the ASTC Bus Station, Jorhat and Jorhat Court. The people of Madhubon are Assamese Hindu and are well cultured. They are all permanent residence of the place except a very few family which are on rent. One third of the families of Madhuban are from the same parentage and their surname is Dutta.

Madhuban can also refers to Brahma Kumaris ashram in Mount Abu, Rajasthan. Only place of incarnation of Supreme Soul, God Shiva Baba every 5,000 years.
