Space Shuttle Atlantis - STS-36 Launch and Landing
On this day in 1990, Space Shuttle Atlantis Launched on STS-36. Not much is known about this flight, but it is known that it was a dedicated Department of Defense flight. The likely payload was a radar or optical surveillance package known as "Misty."
This video is taken from NASA's official press highlights package of STS-36's launch and landing, and has been upscaled heavily via AI protocol. It has been paired with a custom composite audio track, comprised of recordings from the launches of STS-116, STS-117, STS-133, and STS-134, as well as of a test of a ROFI ignitor.
