I knew that there was much I didn't know but this film makes it pretty clear that there's much more to the story. Fascinating, engaging and deeply engrossing film that left me wanting more with a mental note to watch again. I have never claimed to be a student of history but watching this film makes me wish I had more time to be such. The history of the United States as shown in this film is not what we're taught in school. Other films on the channel such as "The Secret of Oz" and "The Money Masters" hint at how the British Monarchy has tirelessly worked to undermine the great American experiment, but this film brings that whole subject to the fore with a lot more detail. In a sense the way the film lays out British influence and the attitude of the British elite towards us commoners makes the film difficult to watch, because as I look around it is painfully obvious that we may have won the Revolutionary battle the war raged on so that we're back to being colonists again. Bill O'Reilly: The U.S. Dollar will Collapse
Bill O'Reilly struck a rather apocalyptic tone in his Talking Points Memo tonight, warning viewers of the danger facing the economy and the country if it continues down the same path already half-forged by President Obama. O'Reilly predicted that no matter how many people try to sound the alarm about where the nation is headed, most people are just too content with their lives to listen or care. O'Reilly opened with a very simple question: are the people to blame for the current state of the government? He cited nations of citizens falling in lockstep behind men like Adolf Hitler and Fidel Castro. O'Reilly clarified that the United States is not approaching a totalitarian state, but dealing with a "very serious economic situation." O'Reilly cited a report from the Government Accountability Office concluding that "absent policy changes----the federal government continues to face an unsustainable fiscal path." He said if there is not a serious attempt to curb spending or entitlements, "the U.S. dollar will collapse," which, as O'Reilly delicately phrased it, will lead to people's savings and investments "blow[ing] up before our eyes." O'Reilly doubted that anyone in the liberal media would want to talk about the GAO report, because Obama does not want to cut spending or reform entitlements, and so the doting media will ignore the damaging report. O'Reilly compared it to people standing on a beach and refusing to leave after they've been warned of an impending tidal wave. Of course, it is a government of the people, and O'Reilly argued that people not caring enough about the government are allowing the government to get out of control. 2011, who to my knowledge shot these pictures at an altitude of around 350 km.
All credit goes to them.
HD, refurbished, smoothed, retimed, denoised, deflickered, cut, etc.
All in all I tried to keep the looks of the material as original as possible,
avoided adjusting the colors and the like, since in my opinion the original
footage itself already has an almost surreal and aestethical visual nature.

All Time-lapse sequences were taken by the astronauts onboard the International Space Station (ISS) (Thanks guys for making this available to the public for use!) All footage has been color graded, denoised, deflickered, slowed down and stabilized by myself. Clips were then complied and converted to 1080 HD at 24 frames/sec.
Some interesting tidbits about the ISS. It orbits the planet about once every 90 mins and is about 350 Km/217 miles. The yellow/greenish line that you see over the earth is Airglow.

P.S. It would be a dream to actually be up there in the ISS. Btw NASA, if you need a Biochemistry Ph.D to do some work for you up there, I’m your man, LOL!

In April 2010 a massive oil spill began in the Gulf. The entire country was glued to the news until the well was capped, and then we forgot about it.
As the year anniversary was approaching I became curious, just how much oil was that exactly? Where would it have gone? What I found was shocking.
So in an effort to further our discussion on oil dependency I created this short animation to help illustrate just how dependent we truly are on oil.
