this rarely seen scifi film from 1963 features no fleets of invading spaceships...it plays more like an extended TWILIGHT ZONE drama. Richard La Salle wrote one of his best works (IMO) with a nice romantic orchestral feel and sometimes eerie electronics thrown in. I lifted these cues from a DVD copy so some sound efx & distortion is present but this is one of my favorite La Salle scores.

This is an audio copy of the conversation which took place between myself and Mr Richard Deschamps (LaSalle City Councillor). On June 6, 2011, I attended, for the first time, the LaSalle Borough council meeting as a concerned citizen looking for answers to some of my questions.
The main reason for my visit was to speak to Mayor Manon Barbe regarding biofuels and renewable energy including invalid traffic infractions I received by the local LaSalle police, infractions which I won in court due to invalidity.
These invalid infractions cost me countless hours of lost time and revenue to defend in Montreal Municipal Court, not to mention the cost to the taxpayer to hear these invalid cases in front of the courts..
This was equally the first time I have ever been to any council meeting as a concerned citizen.
After the meeting was adjourned, I asked myself
"why does the LaSalle borough council not allow recording of our meetings? "
With this concern, I approached Mr. Deschamps and politely introduced myself (as you may hear in the recording), which started a conversation regarding the questionable democratic process in LaSalle council meetings,
While attempting to ask a question, Mr. Deschamps clearly interrupts me and rudely tells me only the following words:
"Sir, get elected and change it"
Laughing profusely as he walks away in a calculated attempt to humiliate me for daring to ask a question he does not like.
These were the only words Mr Deschamps said to me that night. From that moment on, the ridiculing started for myself at LaSalle borough council meetings but many other citizens have equally endured this type of behavior for having an opinion way before my first experience.
How could Mr. Deschamps say this to a citizen the very first time he meets him ???
Does a citizen deserve to be treated in this most unprofessional manner by our elected officials ?
What a humiliating way to meet my city councillor and our elected officials in LaSalle for the first time !
DONT TAKE MY WORD FOR IT! Present yourself at 55 Avenue Dupras (LaSalle City Hall) and attend one of our borough council meetings.
YOU WILL BE TRULY AMAZED AND EVEN DISGUSTED !!!
For this reason, It is imperative that our first conversation be exposed at this very moment via broadcast and the press to the citizens of Montreal. This must be done with the intention of voicing the whole truth about Mr Deschamps and the LaSalle borough councils repeated opposition to the issue of transparency and dissenting voices of opposition.
What is Mr. Richard Deschamps hidden agenda ? Why does he shy away from transparency?
Now Mr. Richard Deschamps is the acting leader of UNION MONTREAL.
Does his team know how thier leader reacts to dissent and opposition ?
If so, does that mean the other members of UNION MONTREAL under Richard Deschamps charge agree with his ways towards participatory democracy ?
For the record, This recording of our conversation is in full compliance with the one party consent laws depicted in the Criminal Code of Canada regarding the recording of one's personal conversations. This recording does not infringe for the simple fact that the conversation took place following the adjournment of the council meeting, nullifying any by-law which governs the decorum of lasalle council meetings.

Richard LaSalle
Richard LaSalle (January 18, 1918 – April 5, 2015) is an American film score composer.
LaSalle was born in Louisville, Colorado. He began as a performer for local hotels as a pianist and orchestra leader between the 1940s and 50s. In 1958 he joined the American Society of Composers and Publishers in which started his main career in film composing.

Richard Deschamps
Richard Deschamps is a Canadian politician from Montreal, Quebec. He currently serves as vice-chairman of the Montreal Executive Committee, responsible for infrastructure and economic development, and sits on Montreal City Council representing the Sault-Saint-Louis district of the borough of LaSalle. He was a member of the Union Montreal party.
Career
Deschamps holds a Master of Business Administration, a Master of Science in industrial relations, and a Bachelor of Arts in psychology.
He has previously held teaching positions at Cégep Marie-Victorin, HEC Montréal and Université de Montréal. He has worked as a management consultant for National Bank of Canada, Transat Group and the Fonds de solidarité FTQ.
He was first elected to city council in the former city of LaSalle in 1999. Following the merger of LaSalle into Montreal he has represented Sault-Saint-Louis on Montreal City Council since 2002.
Following the resignation of Gérald Tremblay, on November 8, 2012 Union Montreal announced Deschamps as its nominee for Mayor of Montreal in the council vote to be held on November 16. In the final vote, he was defeated by Michael Applebaum, winning 29 votes to Applebaum's 31.

This must be done with the intention of voicing the whole truth about Mr Deschamps and the LaSalle borough councils repeated opposition to the issue of transparency and dissenting voices of opposition.

Does his team know how thier leader reacts to dissent and opposition ?

This is an audio copy of the conversation which took place between myself and Mr Richard Deschamps (LaSalle City Councillor). On June 6, 2011, I attended, for the first time, the LaSalle Borough council meeting as a concerned citizen looking for answers to some of my questions.
The main reason for my visit was to speak to Mayor Manon Barbe regarding biofuels and renewable energy including invalid traffic infractions I received by the local LaSalle police, infractions which I won in court due to invalidity.
These invalid infractions cost me countless hours of lost time and revenue to defend in Montreal Municipal Court, not to mention the cost to the taxpayer to hear these invalid cases in front of the courts..
This was equally the first time I have ever been to any council meeting as a concerned citizen.
After the meeting was adjourned, I asked myself
"why does the LaSalle borough council not allow recording of our meetings? "
With this concern, I approached Mr. Deschamps and politely introduced myself (as you may hear in the recording), which started a conversation regarding the questionable democratic process in LaSalle council meetings,
While attempting to ask a question, Mr. Deschamps clearly interrupts me and rudely tells me only the following words:

this rarely seen scifi film from 1963 features no fleets of invading spaceships...it plays more like an extended TWILIGHT ZONE drama. Richard La Salle wrote one of his best works (IMO) with a nice romantic orchestral feel and sometimes eerie electronics thrown in. I lifted these cues from a DVD copy so some sound efx & distortion is present but this is one of my favorite La Salle scores.

This is a fitting musical companion to the "Wild West" spirit which comes to life in Calgary each July, with the arrival of the Calgary Stampede, one of the oldest rodeos in North America.
After reviewing over one hundred and fifty Westerns (movies and TV series), Mr. Agopian chose twenty-two scores for this project. Donovan Seidle, CYO alumnus, and presently Assistant Concertmaster of the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra, was commissioned to arrange this music for the CYO."
