Australians planning to attend Anzac Day commemorations at Gallipoli in 2015 to mark the 100th anniversary of the Gallipoli landings can apply for the ballot planned to open in mid November, Minister Assisting the Prime Minister on the Centenary of ANZAC Senator the Hon. Michael Ronaldson announced today.

The Chief of the Defence Force, General David Hurley has congratulated the more than 26,500 Defence personnel who have contributed to Australia’s mission in Afghanistan since 2002.

Minister Assisting the Prime Minister for the Centenary of ANZAC, Senator the Hon. Michael
Ronaldson, and Western Australian Minister for Veterans, Joe Francis MP, today turned the first
sod on construction of the Anzac Interpretive Centre in Albany, Western Australia.
