Like thousands of others from around the country, Chris traveled to Chicago in May 2012 to attend the anti-NATO protests.
In a night time demonstration during the NATO summit, Chris was arrested along with several others in a barrage of police violence.
He was initially charged with “aggravated battery on a police officer”, accused of pushing a police officer during the arrest of another demonstrator. On August 15, 2013, Chris pleaded guilty to a reduced Misdemeanor count, and sentenced to 364 days in jail. His initial pre-trial jail time of 84 days will be credited to that sentence.
