They are a group consisted of 5 boys prepared by Universal Music Korea and aimed at the world's music market. The title track "You Are Special" has unique Pop-Rock style melody with hard guitar riff of traditional LA Metal music and 7 different-but-alike phrases. In the verse, a man speaks sharp and straightforward words to a bad guy who is hurting a girl that the man likes. Then, the melody turns to rather positive mood, and the man expresses his heart to the girl with manhood attitude. Every track is made by KT Park as well as European writers Dsign Music, D3O, and few Korean writers under KT's supervision. One Junn, the leader of Boys Republic, also wrote a lyric of "What Up". All the tracks keep urban style like the first single has, but the impact is deeper and clearer with stronger beat. [소년공화국의 정체성을 표현한 첫 디딤] 지난 6월, 첫 데뷔 싱글 [전화해 집에(Party Rock)]로 성공적인 데뷔무대를 치른 '소년공화국'이 그들의 두 번째 음반이자 첫 번째 미니 앨범인 [Identity]를 들고 팬들 앞에 돌아왔다. 앨범명을 통해서도 말하듯이 이번 앨범은 그들이 하고 싶었던 말, 그들의 생각을 담아냄으로써 소년공화국의 색깔을 표현한 앨범이다. [강렬한 LA메탈로 남자다움을 드러내다!] 타이틀곡 "넌 내게 특별해"는 소년공화국의 능동적이고 적극적인 사랑관이 표현된 가사로 나쁜 남자에 대한 신랄하고 직설적인 말을 쏟아내고는 후렴구에서는 사랑하는 여성에게 당당하게 본인의 마음을 표현하는 남성다움을 보여준다. 이 곡은 독특한 구성의 트랙이 매력적인 곡으로, LA메탈 사운드의 강렬한 기타 리프와 함께 7개의 각기 다른듯한 독립적인 프레이즈가 자연스럽게 연결되어 있는 Pop-Rock 스타일의 곡이다. 안무에서는 어반댄스를 기반으로 아크로바틱 요소를 가미한 다양한 동작을 비롯하여 강렬한 기타 사운드를 핸드싱크와 같은 모션을 세련되게 승화하여 표현하였고, 2절 후에 나오는 블랙홀댄스는 그들의 퍼포먼스를 보고 있으면 소년공화국에게 함께 빠져들어갈 것 같은 느낌이 들게끔 표현되었다. 멜로디, 가사, 안무 모든 면에 있어서 이 곡을 듣고 나면 속이 후련해지는 통쾌함을 느낄 수 있을 것이다. [소년공화국이 하고 싶었던 말을 전한다!] 타이틀곡을 포함하여 이번 미니앨범의 전곡 역시 박근태 프로듀서와 유럽 각국의 유명한 작곡가들이 함께 현지에서 작업하며 완성된 곡들이다. 첫 포문을 여는 인트로곡인 I'm Ready는 그 동안 오랜 기간을 통해 준비해온 소년공화국의 모습을 자신있게 보여준다는 메시지를 담아 짧지만 강렬한 임팩트를 지니며 이후의 트랙들에 대한 기대감을 고조시킨다. 특히 이 곡은 '세상에 맞설 준비가 되다'는 가사의 내용에 걸맞게 티져영상으로 제작되었다. 티저영상에서는 멤버들이 연기가 자욱한 공간을 거침없이 빠져나와 달리는 모습을 마치 한 사람이 달리는 듯 표현하였으며, 그런 멤버들 각자의 이미지를 통해 소년공화국이라는 하나의 아이덴티티를 구축했다. 그 외에 소년공화국의 리더 원준이 직접 가사를 쓰며 또래 친구들에게 전하는 진솔한 메시지가 담긴 "뭐하러", 80's 디스코장르 스타일에 현대적인 사운드를 조합시켰으며 소년공화국의 연애 스타일을 엿볼 수 있는 가사로 이루어진 "L.I.U", 데뷔 싱글의 타이틀 곡 "전화해 집에(Party Rock)", 그리고 데뷔 싱글에 함께 수록되었던 재치 있는 삼각관계를 그린 "Special Girl"까지 디지털 음원으로는 총 6곡을 만나볼 수 있다.- published: 11 Oct 2013

The Mast Brothers
The life of a mariner is one given over to wanderlust—the quest for adventure, crossing unseen horizons to secure precious goods—only to bring them back to their home port. This same love of adventure and curiosity defines the brotherhood of Rick and Michael Mast. They share a fiercely independent spirit, leaping into the unknown and trusting that they’ll find the answer through endurance and dedication to their craft.
They began their voyage in their apartment, using a homemade machine to process cacao beans. Over time they cultivated their creation, sourcing beans from family farms in Madagascar, Venezuela, the Dominican Republic, and Ecuador. Each bar is handmade with incredible reverence for the process and history of chocolate. They are bound in ornamental papers and golden foil like a collection of rare books. Each bar offers its own story of flavors, and no two are exactly alike.
The Mast Brothers are now planning to navigate the mighty Atlantic, sailing to the Dominican Republic in search of beans and a deeper connection with the folks who grow them. Before they begin the next chapter, The Scout spent time with Rick and Michael documenting their story.

Visualization of the 1st violin of the 2nd symphony, 4th movement by Ferdinand Ries in the shape of a rollercoaster. The camera starts by showing a close-up of the score, then focuses on the notes of the first violin turning the staves into the winding rail tracks of the rollercoaster. The notes and bars were exactly synchronised with the progression in the animation so that the typical movements of a rollercoaster ride match the dramatic composition of the music.
