A magistrate is an officer of the state; in modern usage the term usually refers to a judge. This was not always the case; in ancient Rome, a magistratus was one of the highest government officers and possessed both judicial and executive powers. Today, in common law systems, a magistrate has limited law enforcement and administration authority. In civil law systems, a magistrate might be a judge in a superior court; the magistrates' court might have jurisdiction over civil and criminal cases. A related, but not always equivalent, term is chief magistrate, which historically can denote a political and administrative officer.

Magistrate derives from the Middle English word magistrat, denoting a "civil officer in charge of administrating laws" (c.1374); from the Old French magistrat; from the Latin magistratus, which derives from magister (master), from the root of magnus (great).

Megyn Marie Kelly (born November 18, 1970), formerly known as Megyn Kendall, is an American journalist and news anchor employed by the Fox News Channel. Kelly currently hosts America Live from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM EST live from the network’s New York City headquarters. She occasionally also co-hosts on America's Newsroom along with Bill Hemmer during the Fox Channel Network's Morning Line-Up at 10:00 AM EST. Since 2007, the two have hosted Fox News Channel's New Year's Eve special every year.

Kelly was nine years of age when her parents moved to Delmar, New York from Syracuse, New York. At Bethlehem Central High School, she played on the basketball and field hockey teams, as well as captaining the cheerleading squad. Kelly's father, who was on the staff of the University at Albany, died when she was 15. After high school, she pursued an undergraduate degree in Political Science from Syracuse University and later pursued a J.D. from Albany Law School; she served as an associate editor of the Albany Law Review while enrolled at Albany Law School. Kelly's first marriage to Daniel Kendall, an anesthesiologist, ended in divorce in 2006. In 2008 she married Douglas Brunt, the President and CEO of Authentium, at Oheka Castle in Huntington, New York. They have two children: Edward Yates Brunt (September 25, 2009) and Yardley Evans Brunt (April 15, 2011).

Alexander "Sandy" Clark (born 28 October 1956 in Airdrie) is a former professional football player and is currently the assistant manager at Queen of the South. He was a centre forward. He is the father of Nicky Clark who plays for Queen of the South.

He played for several clubs in his playing career including Rangers, Hearts, home town Airdrieonians and West Ham United. His longest and most successful spells were those at Tynecastle and Broomfield. He has also managed several clubs, including Partick Thistle, Hamilton Academical, Hearts (twice, once as caretaker), St. Johnstone and Berwick Rangers. In 1982, Clark won the Scottish PFA Players' Player of the Year award.

His work with BBC Scotland previously included TV commentary, where he was the regular summariser to main commentator Rob MacLean.

Clark was striker coach at Aberdeen but left the club in May 2009 along with manager Jimmy Calderwood and assistant Jimmy Nicholl. In January 2010 he joined Kilmarnock as first team coach, working under the same management team until the end of that particular season.

The word asshole, a variant of arsehole, which is still prevalent in British and Australian English, is a vulgar to describe the anus, often pejoratively used to refer to people.

The word arse in English derives from the Germanic root *arsaz, which originated from the Proto-Indo-European root *ors — meaning buttocks or backside. The combined form arsehole is first attested from 1500 in its literal use to refer to the anus. The metaphorical use of the word to refer to the worst place in a region, e.g., "the arsehole of the world") is first attested in print in 1865; the use to refer to a contemptible person is first attested in 1933. In the ninth chapter of his 1945 autobiography, Black Boy, Richard Wright quotes a snippet of verse that uses the term: "All these white folks dressed so fine / Their ass-holes smell just like mine ...". Its first appearance as an insult term in a newspaper indexed by Google News is in 1965. As with other vulgarities, these uses of the word may have been common in oral speech for some time before their first print appearances. By the 1970s, Hustler magazine featured people they did not like as "Asshole of the Month." In 1972, Jonathan Richman's Modern Lovers recorded his song "Pablo Picasso," which includes the line "Pablo Picasso was never called an asshole."

Anthony Peters (born October 24, 1983 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana) is an American soccer player who currently plays for Baton Rouge Capitals in the USL Premier Development League.

Peters attended Baton Rouge Magnet High School and played two years of college soccer at the University of Kentucky, before trying his hand at playing professionally in both Norway and Iceland. Finding opportunities in Europe limited, he returned to college in 2007, playing for West Virginia Wesleyan College, where he was named as the WVIAC Player of the Year and to the NSCAA/Adidas Atlantic Region All-American First Team in 2008.

During his college years he also played with Carolina Dynamo, New Orleans Shell Shockers and Baton Rouge Capitals in the USL Premier Development League, and spent time training with European teams in Iceland and Norway.

In February 2009, Peters signed with the Cleveland City Stars. The team released him from his contract after he received an offer from D.C. United after impressing head coach Tom Soehn during the club's pre-season tour of Puerto Rico. He made his professional debut for DC on April 22, 2009, in the 2009 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup against FC Dallas., before being loaned to the Harrisburg City Islanders of the USL Second Division in April 2009 and later to Richmond Kickers in May 2009.
