The title of this video is: Glock 19 - Weapon System Platform PERFECTION The Glock pistol, sometimes referred to by the manufacturer as a Glock "Safe Action" Pistol or colloquially as a Glock, is a series of polymer-framed, short recoil-operated, locked-breech semi-automatic pistols designed and produced by Glock Ges.m.b.H., located in Deutsch-Wagram, Austria. It entered Austrian military and police service by 1982 after it was the top performer on an exhaustive series of reliability and safety tests. Despite initial resistance from the market to accept a "plastic gun" due to durability and reliability concerns, and fears, (subsequently shown to be unfounded), that the pistol would be "invisible" to metal detectors in airports, Glock pistols have become the company's most profitable line of products, commanding 65% of the market share of handguns for United States law enforcement agencies, as well as supplying numerous national armed forces, security agencies, and police forces in at least 48 countries. Glocks are also popular firearms among civilians for recreational/competition shooting, home/self defense, and concealed or open carry. he Glock 19 is effectively a reduced-size Glock 17, called the "Compact" by the manufacturer. It was first produced in 1988, primarily for military and law enforcement. The Glock 19's barrel and pistol grip are shorter by about 12 mm (0.5 in) compared to the Glock 17 and uses a magazine with a standard capacity of 15 rounds. The pistol is compatible with factory magazines from the Glock 17 and Glock 18, giving the Glock 19 available capacities of: 17 rounds (standard magazine with +2 extension), 10, 17, and 19 (standard Glock 17 magazine with +2), and the 31 (standard Glock 18 magazine with +2 removed) and 33 rounds of the Glock 18. To preserve the operational reliability of the short recoil system, the mass of the slide remains the same as in the Glock 17 from which it is derived. With the exception of the slide, frame, barrel, locking block, recoil spring, guide rod, and slide lock spring, all of the other components are interchangeable between the models 17 and 19. The Glock function test is an operation where we subject the legendary Glock to unusual circumstances and observe how the Glock performs. Sometimes we test products or lubricants. Other times we test the Glock without important parts or with unnecessary parts added! Wrong ammunition? Parts from other glocks or guns? We even attempt to bust myths! Stopping short of exploding our gun! I primarily use a Glock 17 in my tests. Sometimes a Glock 19, Glock 23, Glock 22 or Glock 20 is featured. The glock 17 has been featured in over 50 test videos in the last two years. Going strong, the only part I have replaced is the recoil spring!
