A hall of fame is a structure housing memorials to famous or illustrious individuals in a certain field, usually chosen by a group of electors. The meaning of "fame" has changed over the years, originally meaning "renown" as opposed to today's more common meaning of "celebrity".
In some cases, these halls of fame consist of actual halls or museums which enshrine the honorees with sculptures, plaques, and displays of memorabilia and general information regarding the inducted recipient/s. Sometimes, the honorees' plaques may instead be posted on a wall (hence a '"wall of fame") or inscribed on a sidewalk (as in a "walk of fame" or an "avenue of fame"). In others, the hall of fame is more figurative and just simply consists of a list of names of noteworthy individuals (or sometimes groups, for ex. Sporting groups or Rock groups) maintained by an organization or community or honouring its inducted members legacy or legend.
The English-language term was popularised in the United States by the Hall of Fame for Great Americans at Bronx Community College, in New York City, completed in 1900. Its inspiration is the Ruhmeshalle ("Hall of Fame") in Munich, Germany. The Walhalla memorial in Bavaria, Germany, is an even earlier hall of fame, conceived in 1807 and built from 1900 to 1907.

Modern Jive is a dance style derived from swing, Lindy Hop, rock and roll, salsa and others, the main innovation being to simplify the footwork - by removing syncopation such as chasse. The term French Jive is occasionally used instead, reflecting the origins of the style. The word modern distinguishes it from ballroom Jive.
Modern Jive was developed in the United Kingdom during the 1980s at three London-based clubs, 'Ceroc', 'Le Roc' and 'Cosmopolitan Jive'. The style was based upon a type of Jive that had evolved in France in the aftermath of World War II, when American dances such as the Jitterbug had been popular due to the presence of the American military.
Despite common belief Modern Jive was not created in France. However its origins owe somewhat to the French version of Rock n Roll - Le Bop. The dance commonly known as Modern Jive is distinctively different from Le Bop which is a high tempo dance with completely different timings from Modern Jive.
The beginning is not clear and there are different accounts to how Modern Jive started and different organisations will lay different claims. However 'Michel Ange Lau' played the major role in the change from Le Bop to Modern Jive and it is widely accepted it happened in London (at a club called 'Centre Charles Peguy'). Of cause a number of Brits including James Cronin and Christine Keeble had seen Le Bop in France and had the desire to learn the dance back home in London, and were part of Michel's group / students.

Things to Come was filmed at Site Gallery in 2011 as part of Platform, a programme that enabled artists time and space to develop new work in the galleries. Created over a period four weeks, Graham Ellard and Stephen Johnstone built an abstract, metal and glass model in the gallery based on a series of unpublished production photographs of Hungarian artist László Moholy-Nagy's 'future city' set designs, commissioned for the 1936 science fiction film Things to Come. Graham Ellard and Stephen Johnstone's Things to Come consists of abstract synchronised movement across and around a model, which creates a dynamic play of light, shadow, reflection, parallax, depth, surface and prismatic special effects. You would not guess it is made from domestic objects sourced from ebay! The film sequenc...
