Human Events is a weekly American conservativemagazine.

It takes its name from the first sentence of the United States Declaration of Independence ("When in the course of human events...")^{[citation needed]}

It is published in Washington, DC by Eagle Publishing (which also owns Regnery Publishing), a subsidiary of Phillips Publishing. Thomas S. Winter is editor-in-chief and Jason Mattera is online editor [1].

Regular writers have included Robert Novak, Ann Coulter, Terrence P. Jeffery and John Gizzi. Occasional contributors have included Pat Buchanan, Sean Hannity, Newt Gingrich and Oliver North, as well as conservative celebrities such as Ted Nugent, Chuck Norris and Pat Sajak.

Human Events was founded in 1944 by Washington Post editor (1933–40) Felix Morley, newspaperman Frank Hanighen and former New DealerHenry Regnery. In 1951, Frank Chodorov, former director of the Henry George School of Social Science in New York, replaced Morley as editor, merging his newsletter, analysis, into Human Events. By the early 1960s, Allan Ryskind (son of Morrie Ryskind) and Winter had acquired the publication. In 1993, Human Events was acquired by Eagle Publishing.

Frederick Antony Ravi Kumar Zacharias (born 1946) is an Indian-born, Canadian-American evangelical Christian apologist. Zacharias is the author of numerous Christian books, including Gold Medallion Book Award winner Can Man Live Without God? and bestsellers Light in the Shadow of Jihad and The Grand Weaver. He is the founder and chairman of the board of Ravi Zacharias International Ministries, host of the radio programs Let My People Think and Just Thinking, and visiting professor at Wycliffe Hall of Oxford, where he teaches apologetics and evangelism. Zacharias studied as a visiting scholar at Cambridge University and held the chair in Evangelism and Contemporary Thought at Alliance Theological Seminary from 1981 to 1984. Commentator Chuck Colson referred to Zacharias as "the great apologist of our time."

Zacharias was born in Madras, India. Zacharias claims descent from a woman (of the Nambudiri Brahmin caste) and a low caste Boatman. Missionaries spoke to one of his ancestors about Christianity and thereafter the family was converted. Zacharias grew up in a nominal Anglican household, and he himself was an atheist until the age of 17, when he unsuccessfully tried to commit suicide by swallowing poison. While in the hospital, a local Christian worker brought him a Bible and instructed his mother to read to him out of John 14. Zacharias says that it was John 14:19 that touched him and caused him to commit his life to Christ.

Glenn Edward Lee Beck (born February 10, 1964) is an American conservative radio host, vlogger, author, entrepreneur, political commentator and former television host. He hosts the Glenn Beck Program, a nationally syndicated talk-radio show that airs throughout the United States on Premiere Radio Networks. He formerly hosted the Glenn Beck television program, which ran from January 2006 to October 2008 on HLN and from January 2009 to June 2011 on the Fox News Channel. Beck has authored six New York Times–bestselling books. Beck is the founder and CEO of Mercury Radio Arts, a multimedia production company through which he produces content for radio, television, publishing, the stage, and the Internet. It was announced on April 6, 2011, that Beck would "transition off of his daily program" on Fox News later in the year but would team with Fox to "produce a slate of projects for FOX News Channel and FOX News' digital properties". Beck's last daily show on the network was June 30, 2011. In 2012, The Hollywood Reporter named Beck on its Digital Power Fifty list.

Jason Joseph Mattera (born September 8, 1983) is an American writer, activist, and radio host. He entered conservative activism while attending Roger Williams University and has worked for Young America's Foundation.

Born in the New York City borough of Brooklyn, Mattera is of Italian and Puerto Rican descent and a practicing Christian. He is one of five children of Joseph G. Mattera and Joyce Mutkoski Mattera, senior pastors of the Resurrection Church in Brooklyn. In 2005, Jason Mattera graduated summa cum laude from Roger Williams University with a Bachelor of Science degree in business management and communications.

In 2010, Mattera wrote his first book, Obama Zombies: How the Liberal Machine Brainwashed My Generation. That book debuted at #14 on The New York Times best-seller list for hardcover non-fiction. Stephen Gutowski at Human Events praised the book, which he said "well chronicles how liberals have taken advantage of and brain-washed" college-aged voters. Promoting Obama Zombies on broadcast media, Mattera was a guest on the Fox News Channel program Hannity and radio programs The David Pakman Show,, The Mark Levin Show, and The Thom Hartmann Program. Liberal watch dog Media Matters for America pointed out inaccuracies in Obama Zombies regarding Barack Obama's statements regarding the September 11 attacks and foreign policy as well as attacks on the scientific opinion on climate change.

Rafael Edward Cruz, known as Ted Cruz (born December 22, 1970), is the former Solicitor General of the U.S. state of Texas, a position which he held from 2003 to May 2008. Cruz was appointed by Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott. He was the first Hispanic Solicitor General in Texas, the youngest Solicitor General in the United States, and had the longest tenure in the post thus far in Texas history. He is currently a partner at the law firm Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, where he leads the firm’s U.S. Supreme Court and national appellate litigation practice.

Cruz is a candidate for the 2012 Republican nomination for the United States Senate seat being vacated by Kay Bailey Hutchison.

Cruz previously served as the director of the Office of Policy Planning at the Federal Trade Commission, an Associate Deputy Attorney General at the United States Department of Justice, and as Domestic Policy Advisor to U.S. President George W. Bush on the 2000 Bush-Cheney campaign. In addition, from 2004-2009 Cruz was an Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Texas School of Law in Austin, where he taught U.S. Supreme Court litigation.
