Architect’s van robbed


ALFONSO, Cavite -- An architect has been robbed of his licensed firearm, money and valuables inside his vehicle while attending a healing mass at a Catholic Church in Bgy. Amuyong, Alfonso, Cavite Sunday morning.

Chief Insp. Valero Bueno, deputy police chief of Silang, Cavite, identified the victim as Joseph Alcantara Balagso, 42, married, of Sta. Rosa Heights, Bgy. Puting Kahoy, Silang.

Taken away by the suspects were the victim’s cal. .9mm Norinco with two magazines worth P37,000, wallet containing P20,000, Comelec ID of his gun, iPOD, a Nokia phone and several credit cards and his driver’s license.

The victim told policemen that he and his family were in the Church of Monte Maria in Bgy. Amuyong to attend the healing mass at 10:30 a.m.

The victim parked his van, a Mitsubishi Montero sport (NAQ-345), at the church parking space. But when he came back, he saw the car’s window was lowered and the van’s lock destroyed.
