"A woman who was allegedly bashed by her de facto partner in Sydney's north-west has died in hospital, two days after sustaining horrific injuries.

Linda Locke, 51, was clinging to life in Westmead Hospital after being found in her Quakers Hill home on Monday morning with head injuries, serious bruising to her face and a collapsed lung.

Prompted by a conversation below, I just went looking for a YouTube video neo-Nazi Neil Luke Erikson (aka 'Nationalist Republican Guard') uploaded back in late January/early February regarding my (very brief) appearance on an episode of The 7.30 Report (see : http://slackbastard.anarchobase.com/?p=37421).

In his video -- titled 'Andy Fleming on The 7.30 Report' -- Erikson took some of the footage from that episode and redubbed it, taking the opportunity to have me (si...c) confess to a range of crimes springing solely from Neil's fertile and deeply anti-Semitic imagination. As with all of Erikson's video productions, the video was shared on his Facebook page by Shermon Burgess (aka 'The Great Aussie Patriot') and, despite being a rather crude fabrication (or perhaps because Burgess's followers are often not the sharpest tools in the shed), seemingly taken as Gospel truth.

In response to some complaints:

Actually, in drawing attention to the lived reality of those at the other end of the economic, political and social scale in the UK -- and the carnage that is being created by austerity measures such as the Bedroom Tax and Welfare-to-Work -- I was attempting to suggest why the celebration of the birth of the Royal Babby is so disturbing -- and therefore richly deserving of subversion. In my view, displays of obeisance to Royalty function partly... in order to obscure this reality and represent -- successfully, in many cases -- a much wider and deeper attempt to harness people's emotions to inappropriate -- in fact, perverse -- love-objects. But not everyone cares about the arrival of another Royal Babby and many are in fact disgusted by the pomp and ceremony which accompanied it, especially as the ability to engage in such activity rests upon the immiseration of a large mass of others, whose births, lives and deaths count for nothing in the daily grind that is the ruthless machinery of state and capital.

The really awful thing about the recent deaths of these Britons is the fact that they did not live to witness the joy of the birth of The Royal Babby.
