The Wire remains the most highly-regarded and compelling urban drama of our time. Through complex characters and story lines, The Wire has defined and created our collective understanding of how multiple systems (drug economy; criminal justice; education; media; politics) ensnare our youth and limit opportunities for achievement in spite of our best efforts to save them; or the best intentions of all the individuals that surround them. As The Wire came to a close, we elected the first black President. And yet amidst the fragile state of our economy and fractured partisan politics, we are seeing alarming levels of poverty and unemployment among the African American community. Black unemployment is virtually twice that of white unemployment. Underemployment is 3 times as high. Black youth unemployment is at 46%. So called "Wire communities" still abound. But how can we reverse course and reach back into the forgotten neighborhoods like those in The Wire to build a better future together? Despite our differences, can we find common ground that allows us to once again create opportunity for those who need it most? How do we turn these failing communities into viable ones that instead of dragging on our economy and society, improve it?

This video features biological UFOs as recorded by NASA in their own footage during their Space Tether Experiment. http://www-istp.gsfc.nasa.gov/Education/wtether.html The space tether experiment, a joint venture of the US and Italy, called for a scientific payload--a large, spherical satellite--to be deployed from the US space shuttle at the end of a conducting cable (tether) 20 km (12.5 miles) long. The idea was to let the shuttle drag the tether across the Earth's magnetic field, producing one part of a dynamo circuit. The return current, from the shuttle to the payload, would flow in the Earth's ionosphere, which also conducted electricity, even though not as well as the wire. One purpose of such a set-up might be to produce electric power, generating current to run equipment aboard the space shuttle. That electric comes at a price: it is taken away from the motion energy ("kinetic energy") of the shuttle, since the magnetic force on the tether opposes the motion and slows it down. In principle, it should also be possible to reverse this process: a future space station could use solar cells to produce an electric current, which would be pumped into the tether in the opposite direction, so that the magnetic force would boost the orbital motion and would raise the orbit to a higher altitude. The first attempt at the tether experiment ended prematurely when problems arose with the deploying mechanism, but the one on February 25, 1996, began as planned, unrolling mile after mile of tether while the observed dynamo current grew at the predicted rate. The deployment was almost complete when the unexpected happened: the tether suddenly broke and its end whipped away into space in great wavy wiggles. The satellite payload at the far end of the tether remained linked by radio and was tracked for a while, but the tether experiment itself was over. It took a considerable amount of detective work to figure out what had happened. Back on Earth the frayed end of the tether aboard the space shuttle was examined, and pieces of the cable were tested in a vacuum chamber. The nature of the break suggested it was not caused by excessive tension, but rather that an electric current had melted the tether. The electric conductor of the tether was a copper braid wound around a nylon string. It was encased in teflon-like insulation, with an outer cover of kevlar, a tough plastic also used in bullet-proof vests, all this inside a nylon sheath. The culprit turned out to be the innermost core, made of a porous material which, during its manufacture, trapped many bubbles of air, at atmospheric pressure. Later vacuum-chamber experiments suggested that the unwinding of the reel uncovered pinholes in the insulation. That in itself would not have caused a major problem, because the ionosphere around the tether, under normal circumstance, was too rarefied to divert much of the current. However, the air trapped in the insulation changed that. As it bubbled out of the pinholes, the high voltage ("electric pressure") of the nearby tether, about 3500 volts, converted it into a plasma (in a way similar to the ignition of a fluorescent tube), a relatively dense one and therefore a much better conductor of electricity. The instruments aboard the tether satelite showed that this plasma diverted through the pinhole about 1 ampere, a current comparable to that of a 100-watt bulb (but at 3500 volts!), to the metal of the shuttle and from there to the ionospheric return circuit. That current was enough to melt the cable. As the broken end whipped away from the shuttle, the plasma established electric contact with the ionosphere directly. The satellite on the distant end monitored the current: after about half a minute it stopped, then it reignited and flowed again for about another half minute, stopping for good when (presumably) all the trapped air was gone. Because of the unexpected break, the tether experiment at the time was widely viewed by the press as an expensive failure. True, the planned operation at full deployment, for several hours, could not take place, nor could the tether and its satellite be retrieved, which was to have demonstrated the feasibility of deployable tethers. However, many of the scientific experiments had already begun during deployment and yielded good data. And the break itself, though unfortunate, added an unscheduled experiment to the mission, one which highlighted the risks and complexities of operating scientific equipment in space. A continuation of the Edward Leedskalnin Series presented and produced by Adam Bull, Solomon Books shows the Hydrochloric acid taking the zinc acid metal in parts, and shows one of the two ways that electricity can be produced; here electricity is being produced from the matter of atoms as it is broken down into its fundamental parts. In the second *FULL* version of this video (30 minutes) it shows the bubbles leaving the zinc and how they expand and contract, and others are attracted to them, before they pop. A compass is used in the full length video which shows there is south pole magnets coming out of the zinc and running in the acid and around the glass beaker. IT could show in the absence of a transformer or copper coil winding the presence of magnets during the time in which the hydrochloric acid took those so called electrons and protons apart from eachother in the zinc. I used a diode in the multimeter to show that there is almost a double dose of extra electricity in one of the currents, which shows that this particular battery is unbalanced, and is producing more of the south pole magnets than the north pole. The diode is a one sided multimeter detection apparatus that can only sense the flow of those socalled electrons in one direction. So when I connect the multimeter around in the opposite polarity by switching the cables anode with cathode and cathode with annode not only is there a negative resistance, but there is a different negative resistance. This shows that something more than electrons was concerned with the making of magnetic or electric current from the battery. You know that there should only be magnets produced at the right hand rule to when the magnest run in a wire from the battery, but you have seen in this battery before any electricity runs out, and as the currents run out of the atoms that create the electricity, there is the north and south pole magnets, I think this is proof enough that those electrons could be north and south pole magnets, and that the way they ran determined whether the academics called them electrons and protons or north and south pole individual magnetic particles. Best Wishes, Adam Bull Author of Technology For a New Future Reverse Engineering Leedskalnin Flywheel Apparatus https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ess-9xOAEKs&feature;=youtu.be This is only the FULL LENGTH version, the full length version shows everything else described in this apparatus and description and is just as good for your experiments with magnetic current as the original instructions set out in edward leedskalnins book Magnetic Current. PLEASE NOTE: I am aware of inaccuracies in regard to measuring resistance during the time which voltage is present in the conductor.
