The Bektashi Order (Turkish: Bektaşi Tarikatı), or the ideology of Bektashism (Albanian: Bektashizmi or Bektashizma; Turkish: Bektaşilik), is a Sufi order (tariqat) founded in the 13th century by the Persian saint Haji Bektash Veli. The order is particularly found throughout Anatolia and the Balkans. In addition to the spiritual teachings of Haji Bektash Veli the Bktashi tariqat was significantly influenced during its formative period by both the Hurufis (in the early 15th century) as well as the Qalandariyah stream of Sufism, which took many forms in 13th century Anatolia. The mystical practices and rituals of the Bektashi order were systematized and structured by Balım Sultan in the 16th century after which many of the order's distinct practices and beliefs took shape.
A large number of academics consider Bektashism to have fused a number of Sunni, Shi'a and Sufi concepts, although the order contains rituals and doctrines that are distinct unto itself. Throughout its history Bektashis have always had wide appeal and influence among both the Ottoman intellectual elite as well as the peasantry.
Ardit Gjebrea (born 7 July 1963) is an Albanian singer, song-writer, producer and presenter.
Born in Tirana, Albania, he began singing as a child, at the age of 5. Then he continued to sing in the Children's Festivals, and is remembered for songs like "I ëmbël zëri i gjyshës", "Kur kendoj per ty moj nënë" and "Balladë për pionierin dëshmor".
On 17 December 1991, he made a breakthrough in his career, when he won the Festivali i Këngës në RTSH prize with the song "Jon". On 1995, he won the same prize with his song "Eja".
Ardit has published three albums in his career, starting with the eponymous 'Ardit Gjebrea' in 1992. In 1997 he launches "Projekt Jon", the highest selling album in Albania. "Project Jon" displayed the extreme creativity of Gjebrea, who merged influences of Albanian traditional music, Ballkanic and Mediterranean sounds and instruments, and the innovation of recent trends in international music. In 2004 he launched "Ja ku jam", an album mostly covered in Gjebrea's musical translations of inner wandering, sentimental and melancholic moods, and rock&pop hits.
