Gamecube version of Resident Evil 4 aspect ratio is 4:3 (letterboxed to 16:9 using black bars). Steps I used to make this video are as follows: 1. Play game at 1080x1440 4:3 (letterboxed to 810x1440 16:9) 2. Enable anamorphic widescreen hack (expanding the field of view) 3. Stretched to 1080x1920 16:9 (letterboxed to 810x1920 2.37:1). Rendered image resolution is 810x1440 16:9, better than 720x1280(720P). It is stretched horizontally to 810x1920 64:27 or 2.37:1. The widescreen hack causes some graphics issues like stretched text and exposure of objects meant to be hidden, and the increased resolution over 720P 16:9 is only realized on 1080P displays, resolution is lowered on smaller displays. Ideally I'd take a 1440x1920 video (Native 4:3 Aspect Ratio and normal field of view, letterboxed to 16:9) and crop it perfectly to 1080P 16:9, but my graphics card doesn't like custom resolutions. I'll make 720P videos cropped from 960x1280 4:3 in the future. Sound is somewhat synced with video in this short segment.
