Francis Lee Bailey Jr., commonly referred to as F. Lee Bailey, (born June 10, 1933) is an American former attorney. For most of his career, he was licensed in Massachusetts and Florida. He was a criminal defense attorney who served as the lawyer in the re-trial of osteopathic physician Sam Sheppard. He was also the supervisory attorney over attorney Mark J. Kadish in the court martial of Captain Ernest Medina for the My Lai Massacre, among other high-profile trials, and was one of the lawyers for the defense in the O. J. Simpson murder case. He has also had a number of visible defeats, legal controversies, and personal trouble with the law, and was disbarred in Massachusetts and Florida for misconduct while defending his client Claude DuBoc. In 2014 he was denied a law license by the Maine State Bar Association and the Maine Supreme Judicial Court.
Bailey was born in Waltham, Massachusetts. He went to Cardigan Mountain School and then Kimball Union Academy, graduating in the class of 1950. Bailey studied at Harvard College, but dropped out in 1952 to join the United States Marine Corps. Bailey was commissioned as an officer and, following flight training, received his Naval Aviator wings in 1954. He served as a jet fighter pilot, and then began to serve as a squadron legal officer, the role he filled until he resigned his commission in 1956. He briefly returned to Harvard before he was admitted to Boston University School of Law in 1957, which accepted his military experience in lieu of the requirement for students to have completed at least three years of undergraduate college courses. He graduated with an LL.B. in 1960 and was ranked first in his class.
Lee Bailey (born 10 July 1972) is a Scottish professional footballer, who played in the Scottish Football League for Hibernian, Meadowbank Thistle / Livingston, Queen of the South, Brechin City, Stirling Albion and East Fife.
He made one appearance for Hibernian in the Premier Division, but was then released. Bailey then went on to play for Meadowbank and stayed with the club when it relocated to Livingston. He was playing for Brechin City, a part-time club, when they were drawn to play Rangers in the 2000–01 Scottish Cup. Bailey was also working as a driving instructor at that time.
In June 2015, Bailey was appointed assistant manager of Brechin City. At that time, Bailey was also working for the Fife Football Performance Academy.
Orenthal James "O. J." Simpson (born July 9, 1947), nicknamed "the Juice", is a retired American football player, broadcaster, actor, and convicted felon currently incarcerated at the Lovelock Correctional Center in Nevada. Simpson played college football at the University of Southern California (USC), where he won the Heisman Trophy in 1968. He then played professionally in the National Football League (NFL) as a running back for 11 seasons, with the Buffalo Bills from 1969 to 1977 and with the San Francisco 49ers from 1978 to 1979.
Simpson was the first NFL player to rush for more than 2,000 yards in a season, a mark he set in 1973. While six other players have passed the 2,000-rush yard mark, he stands alone as the only player to rush for more than 2,000 yards in a 14-game season; the NFL changed to a 16-game season in 1978. He holds the record for the single season yards-per-game average, which stands at 143.1. Simpson was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1983 and the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1985. After retiring from professional football, he had a career as a football broadcaster and actor.
Mark Fuhrman (born February 5, 1952) is a former detective of the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD). He is primarily known for his part in the investigation of the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Lyle Goldman and his subsequent felony conviction for perjury. He has written true crime books and hosted talk radio.
Fuhrman was born in Eatonville, Washington and attended Peninsula High School in Gig Harbor, Washington. In 1970, at age 18, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, where he was trained as a machine gunner and military policeman. He served in Vietnam and was honorably discharged in 1975, having attained the rank of sergeant. Later that year, he graduated from the Los Angeles Police Academy. Fuhrman was promoted to detective in 1989. He served as a police officer for 20 years, earning more than 55 commendations before his retirement in 1995. As a result of his felony perjury conviction he is banned from serving as a police officer again in most states. Fuhrman has married and divorced three times, Barbara L. Koop from 1973 to 1977, Janet Ellen Sosbee from 1977 to 1980, and Caroline Lody from the early 1980s to 2000. The marriage to Lody produced two children, a daughter Haley and a son Cole.

O.J. Simpson Murder Trial - F. Lee Bailey cross-examines Mark Fuhrman
He put on a legal clinic during the OJ Simpson murder trial in '95. A mountain of evidence was stacked against Simpson, but the defense obscured the facts, played with words, and out-lawyered the DA's office. Simpson was a jealous ex-husband who had beat his wife before. His blood was found at the crime scene. The only other blood there was from the two knifed murder victims. The blood of both victims was also found in OJ's car and home, along with OJ's blood dripped at his home. The limo driver, who took OJ to the airport that night for his alibi, said OJ seemed hot and nervous and guarded a backpack that was later missing. Why did it vanish in two days unless he threw it out at the airport? That explains why no murder weapon or bloody clothes were ever found. Also, his footprints, in a...

Attorney F. Lee Bailey, who played a key role in the 1995 O.J. Simpson murder trial, is speaking out for the first time about the series, "The People v. O.J. Simpson." "The producers decided to leave out decisive pieces of evidence that were favorable and frankly, caused the jury to acquit," Bailey said. "I think overall, it was a disservice." Bailey trapped Detective Mark Fuhrman into perjuring himself. Bailey also tricked prosecutor Chris Darden into asking Simpson to try on the bloody glove.

What abou the N word? F Lee Bailey cross examines Mark Furman about the N-Word. O.J. Simpson murder trial.
Bailey and the defense team tried to make the OJ murder case into a race case to the mostly black jury instead of what it was, a case of a jealous, violent ex-husband. One tactic was to taint the evidence Det. Fuhrman found as unreliable. But would Fuhrman risk the death penalty on the spur of the moment by trying to frame someone in a murder case in CA, because of racial bias? Highly unlikely, but that possibility appeals to those who look for racism everywhere as a dominant motive for conduct, even when it is not. Moreover, the racial bias questions on cross are more collateral and inflammatory than probative. Bailey has the weaker case, but won the essence of his motion. I read the cases he cited years ago and remember thinking he distorted their holdings. He made them too broad. The ...

Stuart Vener interviews the nationally recognized defense attorney F. Lee Bailey. Bailey was on the infamous OJ Simpson defense team.
Bruce W. Cook and Robert Shapiro deliver superbly insightful conversation in this half hour interview. We had the privilege of touring the then newly opened location of LegalZoom in downtown Los Angeles. Bruce interviewed Robert Shapiro in an empty room on one of their empty floors atop the highrise. With a consummate warm calming quality, just his presence seemed to settle the entire set while in the midst of talent agency chaos. When we asked what Robert Shapiro is really like, his partners and co-workers described him as an "avuncular guy". Very true. Vicki Miko
