Neither the host nor the guest were ever invited back and the program was not reaired the following Monday as it was scheduled. TBN stands for the Trinity Broadcasting Network, which has also been nicknamed The Blasphemy Channel due to the plethora of aberrant and/or heretical teachings this allegedly Christian station broadcasts. Walter Martin addressed some of these teachings. This is a real interesting video of Walter Martin's last appearance on TBN. I had never seen this before and thought Crouch's animonisity towards Martin all came from his article that he wrote (right before he died) for Micheal Horton's book,, The Agony of Deciet, and his lectures on positive confessionism -- but this video shows where Crouch's animonsity must have started from. At the end of the video is Crouch's first responce to Martins last TBN appearance. Martin noted that Crouch had previously denied the Word of Faith teaching that men are little gods but Crouch decided to defend the heresy and those who teach it while claiming he (Crouch) really is a little god. And then Crouch said about Martin,,,,, "Critic be gone". Walter Martin's "last appearance" on TBN As the program was about to end, Walter Martin thanked Trinity Broadcasting Network president Paul Crouch and his wife Jan for having the courage for letting the concerns be discussed; he also conveyed his hope that the dialogue will continue. Yet when host Doug Clark announced that there is a scheduled replay of the program, he expressed his doubt if it will ever be replayed. Indeed, TBN did not replay it and Martin was never invited again. Dr. Martin pulled no punches. On air, he specifically mentioned the names of Kenneth Hagin, Kenneth Copeland and Oral Roberts as purveyors of cultic doctrines within our camp. I thought of giving a detailed review of this program, but I think there is no need for it. I'll just embed the entire program below. I will comment on one point. The host asked Martin three questions regarding the men he's criticizing: "Do you believe they are Christian?" "Born-again?" "Love the Lord?" In all the above questions, Martin answered "YES". Yet there is also evidence that after this appearance, the original Bible Answer Man changed his mind, at least regarding Kenneth Copeland. Walter Martin Died In 1989 Of Heart Problems He Had For Sometime....Paul Crouch Died November 30th 2013 Of Degenerative Heart Disease, Which He Had For Ten Years. I Don't Know What Became Of Evangelist Doug Clark.
