Irn-Bru (/ˌaɪərnˈbruː/ "iron brew") is a Scottish carbonated soft drink, often described as "Scotland's other national drink" (after whisky). It is produced in Westfield, Cumbernauld, North Lanarkshire, by A.G. Barr of Glasgow, since moving out of their Parkhead factory in the mid-1990s, and at a second manufacturing site in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, England. In addition to being sold throughout the United Kingdom, Barr's Irn-Bru is available throughout the world and can usually be purchased where there is a significant community of people from Scotland. Innovative and sometimes controversial marketing campaigns have kept it as the number one selling soft drink in Scotland, where it competes directly with global brands such as Coca-Cola and Pepsi.
Irn-Bru is known for its bright orange colour. As of 1999 it contained 0.002% of ammonium ferric citrate, sugar, 32 flavouring agents including caffeine and quinine (but not in Australia), and two controversial colourings (Sunset Yellow FCF and Ponceau 4R). On 27 January 2010, A.G. Barr agreed to a Food Standards Agency voluntary ban on these two colourings although no date has been set for their replacement.
The Leith Agency is a creative agency that predominantly focuses on advertising but also helps to develop the local creative community. It is particularly known for its advertisements for Scottish soft drink Irn-Bru.
The agency is currently based at The Shore in Leith, Edinburgh.
The Leith Agency was founded in St Mary's School House, Leith in 1984, starting life as a traditional advertising agency. It was voted Scotland's top advertising agency in 1993 in a poll for Scotmedia magazine and in 2001 it won the Scottish Institute of Practitioners in Advertising award for most effective campaign for promoting now-defunct radio station Beat 106. It was bought by marketing services group Cello in 2004.
The Leith Agency has created campaigns for global brands such as Honda, Grolsch and SEAT from its offices in the docks of Edinburgh. It promoted Coors Light from 2003 to 2010. Its current work includes notable television adverts such as The Snowman for Irn-Bru and campaigns for legislation including the Scottish smoking ban in public places. The agency has won many effectiveness and creative awards, such as the Grand Prix at the Roses Advertising Awards 2009.
John Bain (born 8 July 1984), commonly known by his online aliases TotalBiscuit, The Cynical Brit, and TotalHalibut, is a British gaming commentator and critic on YouTube, known for his role in professional casting for games such as StarCraft II and PlanetSide 2, as well as for his regular gaming commentary videos. According to Eurogamer, his video commentary on newly developed indie games and analysis of gaming news has led to him having a large following. Bain is renowned for his candid, first impression critique of popular video games, where he has voiced strong approval for consumer protection in the gaming industry. On 13 March 2013, he hit the milestone of one million subscribers on his YouTube channel, an occasion for which he released a half-hour-long video discussing many aspects of his life.
The main source of Bain's publicity is his primary YouTube channel, where he posts what he describes as "variety gaming content" as part of the YouTube gaming network Polaris. His most popular videos belong to his "WTF is...?" series, a series of first impressions on video games. He has been described by Will Porter of Eurogamer as a "champion of indie gaming" and YouTube's foremost "love him or hate him" personality. The same critic suggested Bain's online popularity is due to his voice having a "tone of authority", while Bain himself believes that his candour and personality are key to his success. In January 2015 Totalbiscuit was the top Steam curator with over 400,000 followers, more than the next three highest combined.

IRN-BRU REACTION ~ Canadian tries Irn Bru for the First Time (featuring vodka) Hiya pals! I found Irn-Bru at a little Scotland themed store in an outlet mall a few weeks ago and decided, hey, why not film my reaction to trying it? Why not mix it with alcohol? Why not make a fool of myself in front of the entire internet? And here, my friends, is the product of that thought process. And although it may not be readily available where I live (especially for less than $4.95) Irn-Bru has nevertheless earned a special place in my heart. Hope you enjoy and don't forget to like and subscribe! See ya next time. Say hello to baby.
New IRN-BRU ad. Cheeky in more ways than one. BRU #GetsYouThrough.
Director Robin Shaw was selected by The Leith Agency to create Irn Bru's first ever seasonal ad in their 105 year history. Phenomenal Xmas is a light hearted homage to Raymond Briggs' animated film 'The Snowman' https://twitter.com/#!/weareSherbet
Following the success and popularity of the multi award winning Irn Bru - Phenomenal Xmas, The Leith Agency commissioned Sherbet to produce a follow up ad. The agency and their client AG Barr, needed hand drawn, traditionally cute and cuddly cartoon animals, to maximize the ad's punchy and outrageous humour. directed by Dennis Sisterson - animation by Sherbet https://twitter.com/#!/weareSherbet
IRN-BRU celebrates phenomenal Scottish summers with this exciting mix of live action and animation, all set to a soundtrack from Scottish music star Paulo Nutini's 'Pencil Full of Lead'. The creative team from The Leith Agency is Mikey Kinlan and Mark Davies, working closely with INK animations to create the illustrations.
Andy Haynes tries the legendary Scotish drink. Apparently its amzing but when I tried it I though I was drinking a cleaning product.
This ad is part of the PHENOMENAL campaign created by The Leith Agency for IRN-BRU. "Snowman" is the most successful ad made in this campaign thus far, being awarded at The Roses, BTAA, FAB awards and Scottish Advertising Awards. Creatives were Michael Kinlan and Mark Davies.
An ad that I directed for Irn Bru, The creatives were Mark & Mikey @ The Leith Agency. And it was produced by Maeve @ MTP

We put Conzo to work on one of our 4 foot tall Giant Dudes. Using his retro style and three days of spray, paint, brushes, pens and fueled by Irn Bru a mad misfit of melting ice cream like character was created. The finished piece was display at our launch exhibition.
