CCTV released of shooters in De Ieso murder Major Crime Investigators have released CCTV images of the men wanted for the murder of Jason De Ieso. Investigators hope the vision, along with the recent announcement of a $500,000 reward, will prompt someone to come forward with information that will identify the nine men involved. Mr De Ieso, 33, was shot dead in his workshop in Langford Street, Pooraka on 21 November, 2012. Police obtained the CCTV footage from the workshop, which shows nine men walking together towards the front of the workshop. As they approach the front door, a number of shots were fired which led to the death of Jason De Ieso. The suspects can then be seen running cowardly from the murder scene. Of the nine people present, investigators believe five were carrying firearms. While all nine men have committed very serious offences, some offenders' level of participation is greater than others. Major Crime investigators understand the murder is linked to a dispute between the outlaw motorcycle gangs The Finks and the Hells Angels. Police stress that Mr De Iseo was an innocent bystander, caught up in the tensions. Assistant Commissioner Paul Dickson said police have some information nominating who these men may be, but the bikie code of silence and fear or retribution has left detectives just short of the information needed for arrests to be made. But he adds that should be of little consolation to those involved: "Through forensic examination, biometric testing of the CCTV and other evidence gathered, I believe it's only a matter of time before we will be able to positively identify these offenders." "I'm asking the public to look closely at this vision to see if you can identify any of the men. Of particularly interest is the CCTV which shows the hoodie of one man's jumper falling down as he runs from the scene. He clearly has a large scar on the back of his head and a tattoo on his neck. That is fairly distinct and somewhere, someone knows who he is." On 8 August 2013, Police Minister Michael O'Brien announced a $500,000 reward for information about the murder. Since that announcement, some information has already been provided to investigators. Assistant Commissioner Dickson said, "Police have a number of strategies available to protect people who wish to provide information. I encourage people to come forward; that small amount of information you have may be the key piece we need to arrest these individuals." Assistant Commissioner Dickson also appealed to the suspects themselves to contact police. "There is currently a window of opportunity for one of the offenders to come forward and assist the police. But when Major Crime Detectives come knocking on your door to arrest you for murder, the chance you had to assist the investigation will be greatly diminished." The family of Jason De Ieso has written a public statement calling for people to come forward with answers so they can have closure: "A family man who loved life and gave his heart to all of who came into contact with him. I stress Jason had no links to bikies apart from the released statement by Police. He ran a custom paint and panel business in which his doors were open to all. Repairing and working with cars and bikes was his passion. He dedicated all his efforts to produce remarkable results. He also did work for some Finks bikie members and associates, which does not mean he was one or was an associate. An innocent person, who had no involvement in any incidents which were occurring between the Finks and Hells Angels members. A husband, son, brother to all. A father-to-be who will never know his child, see his first smile, hear the word 'Daddy' or hold his child. An innocent life taken by a cowardly and gutless act of criminal violence. Please don't let these criminals walk the street, for more innocent people will suffer while we continue to not report such crimes and talk to the Police. An unarmed person going about his business like any other day, he was working. Why? Please give us the answers and give the family closure, for we will never understand how this could happen to an innocent person who we love and miss every minute of every day."
