You guys have been asking for a car check on my 335i over and over, and I finally set out to film it. However, I felt like I was doing the car an injustice by not telling you the story behind why it's so important to me. I thought about including this at the beginning of the car check, but that would have made it like a 40 minute video - so I decided to split it in two.
In regards to the story, I cover just about everything. The only thing I really noticed that I left out was that Alfredo Mancuso was HIGHLY influential to this story in being an idol of mine and also helping me with a lot of my first orders and shipping logistics. I always looked up to Alfredo for being a (really good) BMX rider that also went to college, is super smart, and for driving awesome BMWs.
Set goals. Work hard. And success will come. I’m routin’ for you guys.

I forgot to mention a few things....
- 2008 BMW 335i with 83,000 miles. I bought it two years ago with about 63,000 miles. N54 FTW
- I chose not to tint the windows because I like being able to see the red interior through the glass :)
- I don't plan on doing much else to the car performance wise because I'm happy with where it is at... And I don't plan on keeping the car forever so any additional mods I'll lose quite a bit of money on when I sell the car.
-The car is 100% overpowered for the way it handles and drives. It's not my favorite thing in the world, but like I said, in Florida we barely have any turns so it's not a big deal.
-I forgot to mention I do also have an OEM BMW Short Shift Kit.
-I had the intake valves walnut blasted almost immediately and it made a HUGE difference in the idle and smoothness of the throttle. The before/after pictures were nuts - I used Daniel Lilly who does it all over central florida.
_ Beware as the yearly cost of ownership on these cars is usually in the thousands. Lots of things break, and when they do just the parts (labor excluded) will run you a fortune.
Overall I just wanted to give a big thanks to everyone that's helped me in some way/shape/form with this car including....

He also embarks to find out if the latest challenger to the BMW 3 Series can dethrone the king of the sport sedan segment. Jaguar’s swing at the 335i is called the XE S. It’s all new, made from mostly aluminum, and powered by the same 340 horsepower supercharged V-6 found in the F-Type. Jaguar tried and failed at taking on the 3 Series with the ill-fated X-Type a generation ago. Did they get it right this time? Or will the German sport sedan supremacy continue on full speed ahead? The BMW E90 series is the fifth generation of the BMW 3 Series range of compact executive cars. The car is also available as a touring (designated as E91), coupé (E92) and coupé cabriolet (E93). A high-performance BMW M3 version of the E90, E92, and E93 is also available. It is the successor to the E46 model, and was launched in March 2005.
In 2002, Norbert Reithofer and Development Chief Burkhard Goeschel started an initiative to halve the time it took to reach full production of the next generation 3-series from six months to three. First marketed in March 2005, the car quickly became BMW Group's best-selling automobile worldwide, and by the end of the year 229,900 vehicles had been delivered. It is by far the best-selling entry-level luxury car in Canada and the United States.
In 2009, the saloon underwent an extensive mid-cycle facelift. In 2011, the coupe and convertible were facelifed as well. Facelifted 3-series are commonly referred to as "LCI" (Lifecycle Impulse) models.
The E90 saloon is 49 mm (1.9 in) longer, 78 mm (3.1 in) wider and 9 mm (0.4 in) taller than its predecessor (E46). The wheelbase is longer by 35 mm (1.4 in). In previous 3 Series models, space for passengers and luggage were common criticisms; however, BMW made significant improvements to the poor leg and headroom in those previous models. BMW's brochure even highlights, 'Now long legs can be enjoyed even by the people who have them'. Large amounts of aluminium were used in the body work and suspension in an attempt to keep the weight close to previous models; however, the E90 weighs between 50 lb (23 kg) and 300 lb (140 kg) more than comparable older models. The N54B30 engine is all aluminium with cast-iron liners, while the N51 and N52 engines largely consist of aluminium with an outer shell of magnesium and even aluminium bolts to prevent corrosion from dissimilar metals. The cylinder sleeves in N54 are steel and have copper coating, while N52 have Alusil aluminium sleeves.

Drift Event #4: Sliding my 335i and an LS1 Racecar
Time to figure out if the 335 slides! I also get to slide around an LS1 S14 for a few laps before going to a BMX contest. Huge thanks to James for letting me rip his car! Shirts and Stickers - http://LZBMX.com So there are only drift events like once a month and I REALLY wanted to go to this one. My 240 is still gone (didn’t think it would be this long) and after denting my trunk I’ve had a f*ck it type attitude with the 335. I figured I’d take it to the track and see how it did. The one wheel peel and a crappy alignment only let me get a few laps, but my friend James Nutt let me get a few runs in his LS1 S14. I did way better After that I headed over to Oviedo’s skatepark to ride in the FLBMX contest (they didn’t post results but said I was around fourth). Either way the day was a blast... -

You guys have been asking for a car check on my 335i over and over, and I finally set out to film it. However, I felt like I was doing the car an injustice by not telling you the story behind why it's so important to me. I thought about including this at the beginning of the car check, but that would have made it like a 40 minute video - so I decided to split it in two.
In regards to the story, I cover just about everything. The only thing I really noticed that I left out was that Alfredo Mancuso was HIGHLY influential to this story in being an idol of mine and also helping me with a lot of my first orders and shipping logistics. I always looked up to Alfredo for being a (really good) BMX rider that also went to college, is super smart, and for driving awesome BMWs.
Set goals. Work hard. And success will come. I’m routin’ for you guys.

I forgot to mention a few things....
- 2008 BMW 335i with 83,000 miles. I bought it two years ago with about 63,000 miles. N54 FTW
- I chose not to tint the windows because I like being able to see the red interior through the glass :)
- I don't plan on doing much else to the car performance wise because I'm happy with where it is at... And I don't plan on keeping the car forever so any additional mods I'll lose quite a bit of money on when I sell the car.
-The car is 100% overpowered for the way it handles and drives. It's not my favorite thing in the world, but like I said, in Florida we barely have any turns so it's not a big deal.
-I forgot to mention I do also have an OEM BMW Short Shift Kit.
-I had the intake valves walnut blasted almost immediately and it made a HUGE difference in the idle and smoothness of the throttle. The before/after pictures were nuts - I used Daniel Lilly who does it all over central florida.
_ Beware as the yearly cost of ownership on these cars is usually in the thousands. Lots of things break, and when they do just the parts (labor excluded) will run you a fortune.
Overall I just wanted to give a big thanks to everyone that's helped me in some way/shape/form with this car including....

So there are only drift events like once a month and I REALLY wanted to go to this one. My 240 is still gone (didn’t think it would be this long) and after denting my trunk I’ve had a f*ck it type attitude with the 335. I figured I’d take it to the track and see how it did. The one wheel peel and a crappy alignment only let me get a few laps, but my friend James Nutt let me get a few runs in his LS1 S14. I did way better After that I headed over to Oviedo’s skatepark to ride in the FLBMX contest (they didn’t post results but said I was around fourth). Either way the day was a blast and I’m stoked to share it with you!
I know i’ve been a little heavy with the car stuff lately, but Tanner Fox will be in town on Tuesday and I’m sure we will be doing something riding related almost every day. Thanks for sticking around!

Archaeologists have unearthed a massive stone tablet outside of Florence they believe will lead to a greater understanding of the ancient Etruscan civilization, an advanced civilization whose cities ranged up and down the west coast of Italy between 2800 and 2400 years ago, an Ars Technica report said Wednesday ... The 500-lb. stone is 4 feet high, called a stele, contains 70 legible letters and punctuation marks....

But let's talk about the great things about this car before I start dumping on it ... I've driven a 335i (now a 435i thanks to BMW's bizarre naming convention) with that engine and it was an absolute peach - and back then it "only" put out 300/300 horses/torque ... That's just annoying....
