ಬೆಳಗಾವಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಖಾನಾಪುರದ ಜಾಂಬೋಟಿ ಅರಣ್ಯ ವಲಯದ ಮುಡುಗೈನಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತೆ ಹುಲಿ ಪ್ರತ್ಯಕ್ಷವಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ಹಿಂದೆ ಅಂಜನಾಳನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತೊಯ್ದಿದ್ದ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲೇ ಇದೀಗ ಮತ್ತೆ ಹುಲಿ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಇಂದು ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಕೆಲ ರೈತರು ಭತ್ತದ ರಾಶಿ ಮಾಡಲು ಹೋದಾಗ ಹುಲಿ ಕಣ್ಣಿಗೆ ಬಿದ್ದಿದೆ. ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ಗ್ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತೆ ಭಯದ ವಾತಾವರಣ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣವಾಗಿದೆ. ಗ್ರಾಮಸ್ಥರು ಮನೆ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೊರಬರಲು ಹೆದರುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಶಾಲೆ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಕುಳಿತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಡಿಸೆಂಬರ್ 29ರಂದು ಅರಣ್ಯ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ಚಿಕ್ಕಮಗಳೂರಿನಿಂದ ತಂದು ಬಿಡಲಾಗಿದ್ದ ನರಭಕ್ಷಕ ಹುಲಿಯನ್ನು ಕೊಂದಿತ್ತು. ಆದ್ರೀಗ ಓರ್ವಳನ್ನ ಬಲಿ ಪಡೆದು ಭೀತಿ ಸೃಷ್ಠಿಸಿರೋ ಹುಲಿ ಮತ್ತೆ ಪ್ರತ್ಯಕ್ಷವಾಗೋ ಮೂಲಕ ಮುಡುಗೈ ಗ್ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಆತಂಕದ ವಾತಾವರಣ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣವಾಗಿದೆ.

ಬೆಳಗಾವಿಯ ಜಾಂಬೋಟಿ ಅರಣ್ಯ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಡಗಿ ಕುಳಿತಿರೋ ನರಭಕ್ಷಕ ಹುಲಿಯನ್ನ ಸೆರೆಹಿಡಿಯಲು ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆ ಆರಂಭಿಸಿರೋ ಅರಣ್ಯ ಇಲಾಖೆ, ದಿನದ 24 ಗಂಟೆ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುವ ಕಾಲ್ ಸೆಂಟರ್ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿದೆ. ಹುಲಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆಯ ಅನುಕೂಲಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಕಾಲ್ ಸೆಂಟರ್ ಆರಂಭಿಸಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಸುತ್ತಮುತ್ತಲಿನ ಗ್ರಾಮಸ್ಥರಿಗೆ ದೂರವಾಣಿ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ರವಾನಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಎಲ್ಲೇ ಹುಲಿ ಕಂಡರೂ ತಕ್ಷಣ 9448030063 ನಂಬರ್ ಗೆ ಕರೆ ಮಾಡುವಂತೆ ಅರಣ್ಯ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಸೂಚನೆ ನೀಡಿದೆ. ಭೀಮಗಢ ಅರಣ್ಯ ಪ್ರದೇಶ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯ ಗ್ರಾಮಸ್ಥರಿಗೆ ಈ ನಂಬರ್ ರವಾನೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. ನರಭಕ್ಷಕ ಹುಲಿಗಾಗಿ ಜಾಂಬೋಟಿ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಸುಮಾರು 10 ಗ್ರಾಮಗಳ ಸುತ್ತಲಿನ ಅರಣ್ಯ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ 250ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ತಜ್ಞ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ
ಶೋಧ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಬೆಳಗಾವಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆ ಖಾನಾಪುರ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಜಾಂಬೋಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನರಭಕ್ಷಕ ಹುಲಿಯನ್ನು ಸೆರೆ ಹಿಡಿಯುವ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆ ಮೂರನೇ ದಿನಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾಲಿಟ್ಟಿದೆ. ಇಲ್ಲಿನ ಕಬನಾಳೆ, ಮುಗವಾಡೆ, ದಾರೋಳಿ, ಚಾಪೋಲಿ,ಮುಡಗೈ, ಒಲ್ಮನೆ ಗ್ರಾಮಗಳ ಸುತ್ತಮುತ್ತ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆ ಮುಂದುವರೆದಿದೆ. ಒಟ್ಟು 12 ತಂಡಗಳು ಹುಲಿ ಸೆರೆ ಹಿಡಿಯುವ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಂಡಿವೆ. ವ್ಯಾಘ್ರನನ್ನು ಸೆರೆ ಹಿಡಿಯಲು ವಿಶೇಷ ಹುಲಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆ ಪಡೆಯ 35 ಜನರ ತಂಡವನ್ನ ನಾಗರಹೊಳೆ ಬಂಡಿಪುರದಿಂದ ಕರೆಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಿದೆ. ನಕ್ಸಲ್ ನಿಗ್ರಹ ಪಡೆಯ 30ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಯನ್ನು ನಿಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅರಣ್ಯ ಇಲಾಖೆ, ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ಗರುಡಾ ಫೋರ್ಸ್, ಶಾರ್ಪ್ ಶೂಟರ್ಸ್ ಜಂಟಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇನ್ನು, ಚಾಮರಾಜನಗರದಿಂದ ಆರ್ ಎಫ್ ಒ ಚಂದ್ರಕುಮಾರ್ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೋಲಿಗರ ತಂಡ ಬೆಳಗಾವಿಗೆ ಆಗಮಿಸಿದೆ. ಚಾಮರಾಜನಗರ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಪುಣಜನೂರು, ಕನ್ನೇರಿ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಸೋಲಿಗರಾದ ಆಲಂಬಾಡಿ, ಆಲುಮಲೈ, ಭೇದ, ಕೇತ, ಅಶೋಕನ ಎಂಬುವವರು ಹುಲಿ ಶೋಧ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆಗೆ ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಬಿಳಿಗಿರಿ ರಂಗನಬೆಟ್ಟ ಹುಲಿ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಿತ ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅರಣ್ಯ ಇಲಾಖೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಗುತ್ತಿಗೆ ನೌಕರರಾಗಿ, ಅರಣ್ಯ ವೀಕ್ಷಕರಾಗಿ ಇವರು ಕೆಲಸ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ವ್ಯಾಘ್ರನನ್ನು ಸೆರೆ ಹಿಡಿಯುವ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿ ತಂಡದಲ್ಲಿ ತಲಾ ಒಬ್ಬ ಸೋಲಿಗನನ್ನು ಬಳಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ.

Jamboti (Konkani: Zambotim) is located 20 km south-west of Belgaum and 18 km west of Khanapur in the Belgaum District of Karnataka, India.
Mandovi River, the longest river in Goa, with the beautiful Varapoha Falls has its origin in the Jamboti hills.Most of the area covered as agricultural land,Agriculture is the main Occupation and most of the people are farmer.Now a days jamboti is developing very rapidly as Belgaum,Khanapur, Panjim(Goa) cities are most connected to generate revenue in jamboti.Parwad and Kankumbhi are the hill stations. Most popular temples are Swayambhu maruthi temple-Habbanhatti,shree pavanai devi temple-Jamboti,Rameshwar temple-Chorla,Maulli temple-Kankumbhi, Hilltop forests surround the area.
Transport
The Belgaum Airport, 28 km to the south-east of Jamboti. Khanapur Railway Station is the nearest railhead. State Highway 31 passes though Jamboti.Now a days you will get good transport from KSRTC and GOA (KADAMBA) government,as well as local transport like Mini tampo,Taxis etc.

This video made on July 11,2013 shows a sneak peek of the exquisite Belgaum-Chorla-Panjim road ( 115kms).I feature a very short ghat of Chorla road which is the first steep hilly stretch that we come across while travelling from Belgaum city towards Goa.It starts just 7 kms after Belgaum city exit.Will upload videos of main forest ghat section sometime later.

ಬೆಳಗಾವಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಖಾನಾಪುರದ ಜಾಂಬೋಟಿ ಅರಣ್ಯ ವಲಯದ ಮುಡುಗೈನಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತೆ ಹುಲಿ ಪ್ರತ್ಯಕ್ಷವಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ಹಿಂದೆ ಅಂಜನಾಳನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತೊಯ್ದಿದ್ದ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲೇ ಇದೀಗ ಮತ್ತೆ ಹುಲಿ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಇಂದು ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಕೆಲ ರೈತರು ಭತ್ತದ ರಾಶಿ ಮಾಡಲು ಹೋದಾಗ ಹುಲಿ ಕಣ್ಣಿಗೆ ಬಿದ್ದಿದೆ. ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ಗ್ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತೆ ಭಯದ ವಾತಾವರಣ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣವಾಗಿದೆ. ಗ್ರಾಮಸ್ಥರು ಮನೆ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೊರಬರಲು ಹೆದರುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಶಾಲೆ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಕುಳಿತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಡಿಸೆಂಬರ್ 29ರಂದು ಅರಣ್ಯ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ಚಿಕ್ಕಮಗಳೂರಿನಿಂದ ತಂದು ಬಿಡಲಾಗಿದ್ದ ನರಭಕ್ಷಕ ಹುಲಿಯನ್ನು ಕೊಂದಿತ್ತು. ಆದ್ರೀಗ ಓರ್ವಳನ್ನ ಬಲಿ ಪಡೆದು ಭೀತಿ ಸೃಷ್ಠಿಸಿರೋ ಹುಲಿ ಮತ್ತೆ ಪ್ರತ್ಯಕ್ಷವಾಗೋ ಮೂಲಕ ಮುಡುಗೈ ಗ್ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಆತಂಕದ ವಾತಾವರಣ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣವಾಗಿದೆ.

Rajgad
Check out the Rajgad Trek! We had to walk for 2 hours to reach the top (4250ft) it was like heaven there, but reaching the top was so difficult that only 3 out of 7 could do it in one go :) However, after reaching the top it was just beautiful, we were awestruck!!! view of western ghats, Rajgad's huge and incredible architecture, lakes with green waters and monsoon of course! the best part was climbing down, it was raining and we came running like anything. A must visit for adventure lovers.

Check out the Rajgad Trek! We had to walk for 2 hours to reach the top (4250ft) it was like heaven there, but reaching the top was so difficult that only 3 out of 7 could do it in one go :) However, after reaching the top it was just beautiful, we were awestruck!!! view of western ghats, Rajgad's huge and incredible architecture, lakes with green waters and monsoon of course! the best part was climbing down, it was raining and we came running like anything. A must visit for adventure lovers.
