Since they were kids, Marcos and Kim have dreamed of getting married. And now its going to happen...unless a bitter feud between their mothers gets in the way. At the altar, the mothers engage in ridiculous antics to stop the wedding, landing the groom in the hospital! The stakes are raised as a failed attempt to elope leads Marcos and Kim back to the hospital for a second time. Thinking fast, the couple recruits some unlikely helpers in a third attempt to wed. As the ceremony is interrupted yet again, Marcos and Kim lay down the law.

The 442nd serve in Italy, then France, distinguishing themselves in skirmishes and battles; gradually and naturally, Grayson's prejudices evaporate with dawning realization that his men are better soldiers than he is. Plot
A group of U.S. Army nurses leaves San Francisco for their tour of duty in Hawaii in December 1941. The attack on Pearl Harbor changes their destination, and their lives. Sent to Bataan, in the Philippines, the nurses are led by Lt. Janet Davidson. She is faced with untested nurses who expected an easy time in Honolulu, but who quickly become battle-weary veterans dealing with daily bombardments by the Japanese, overwhelmed by the numbers of wounded, and dwindling supplies. Some of "Davey's" unit also have to deal with romantic entanglements with men they met onboard ship. When Bataan falls, the American forces flee to the offshore island of Corregidor, where they find the Japanese assault just as intense.

Recently, Black's sermons have been veering into political topics. At times, Black even appears to scold members of the Senate for their inaction. "Today, give lawmakers the vision and the willingness," Black recently prayed. "Remove from them that stubborn pride which imagines itself to be above beyond criticism." "Forgive them for the blunders they have committed," Black added. "Deliver us from the hypocrisy of attempting to sound reasonable while being unreasonable," he continued. "Remove the burdens of those who are the collateral damage of this government shutdown." "Dear God, help our lawmakers. they can know the right but not do it," Black said in another prayer. 10/10/13 - The Senate's non-partisan chaplain Barry Black has taken to chiding Congress as of late for its inaction in ending the government shutdown — or, "madness," as he called it during one prayer. Thursday morning, he appeared on CNN to accept a heaping amount of praise from CNN anchor Ashleigh Banfield. "Wouldn't it be really nice to be able to hear someone stand up in Congress and speak from the heart, somebody guided by faith and conscience? Wow!" began Banfield's introduction. "There is someone exactly like that." The show then played clips of Barry's recent Senate prayers, in which he asked God to "deliver us from the hypocrisy" and "forgive [lawmakers] the blunders they have committed." "Amen!" Banfield declared. "Thank you, thank you, thank you for saying these things. I wish they had more of an effect." She asked: "If you are able to counsel regularly individual members about the kind of language they use, the kind of blame they throw around and the personal responsibility they do not take — especially when they use words like terrorist and hostage and gun to their heads — how do you operate in the halls of Congress with these people?" Black explained that he teaches a bible study course to senators on a weekly basis, and, if given the opportunity, he will point to various quotes from the Book of Proverbs that give insight to how "the power of words have consequences" and that they ought to be "responsible stewards of their verbiage." Asked whether he's hopeful the shutdown "crisis" will end without any further damage, the chaplain recalled his time as a college student in Alabama during the 1960s civil rights movement hearing a local preacher tell him that "we shall overcome because the arc of the moral universe is long but it bends toward justice." Such optimism is "contagious," he added, and so, "if you persevere inevitably a productive harvest will come." Banfield concluded the interview: "I am going to put a picture of you up in my office and I want you to meet my children at some point and I just want to personally say, thank you for being you and joining us on the program today." Say, do you think Ashleigh Banfield is appreciative of the good chaplain's work?
