"Hood Figga" (explicit version titled "Hood Nigga") is the first single from rapper Gorilla Zoe's debut album, Welcome to the Zoo. It was officially released via iTunes on July 17, 2007. The song is produced by Chris Flame and Dee Jay Dana. This video was premiered on MTV2 on June 18, 2007 and BET on June 19, 2007. DJ Drama, Block, Yung Joc, Eightball, and Trae made cameo appearances in the music video.

The song "Get It Up" by Santogold, M.I.A., Gorilla Zoe is part remix, part mash-up and features a large portion of the Gorilla Zoe single in the beginning of the song. It was produced by Radioclit and has brought renewed interest in the original.

Initially, another leaked remix featured just Jeezy's verse, while yet another featured Jeezy and Big Boi's verses, as well as a verse by Trae. There is also another remix featuring Jermaine Dupri. Also a Miami Remix featuring Rick Ross & Pitbull has made its way onto the mixtape circuit. Another remix featuring Lil Wayne and Birdman has also made its way into the song.

Alonzo Mathis (born January 26, 1983 in Atlanta, Georgia) better known by his stage name Gorilla Zoe ( /ˈzoʊ/) is an American rapper and member of rap group Boyz N Da Hood. His solo debut album Welcome to the Zoo came out in 2007.

He replaced Young Jeezy as a member of Boyz n da Hood. He first saw success in collaborations with Hood Figga Gorilla Zoe Yung Joc "Coffee Shop" and "Bottle Poppin'," which charted under several Billboard charts. His first solo album, Welcome to the Zoo, was released October 2007, peaking at #18 on the Billboard 200, #8 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, and #3 on Top Rap Albums. His second solo album, Don't Feed Da Animals, featuring the single "Lost, was released on March 17, 2009.Don't Feed Da Animals topped the Billboard Top Rap Albums chart. "What It Is", featuring Rick Ross, and Kollosus, and "Echo" followed.

For the month of February 2010, Gorilla Zoe released a mixtape every day on the mixtape website DatPiff.com. Gorilla Zoe is currently working on a mixtape with Die-Verse City's member "Qu1k". He also released an EP named I Am Atlanta 3. It is currently available on ITunes.

William Leonard Roberts II (born January 28, 1976), better known by his stage name Rick Ross (often stylized as RICK RO$$), is an American rapper. He derived his stage name from the drug trafficker "Freeway" Ricky Ross, to whom he has no connection. Ross founded the record label Maybach Music Group, on which he released his studio albums Deeper Than Rap and Teflon Don, Ross was also the first artist signed to Diddy's management company Ciroc Entertainment. In early 2012, MTV named Ross as the Hottest MC In The Game.

William Leonard Roberts II was born in Coahoma County, Mississippi. and raised in Carol City, Florida, near Miami. After graduating from Carol City Senior High School, he later attended the historically black college Albany State University on a football scholarship.

After being signed to Suave House Records, former label for rap duo 8Ball & MJG, he eventually signed a deal with Slip-n-Slide Records, which has been under the Def Jam umbrella since 2006. While signed to Slip-n-Slide, Ross toured with fellow rapper Trick Daddy and made guest performances on other Slip-n-Slide albums.

Reverend James Warren "Jim" Jones (May 13, 1931 – November 18, 1978) was the founder and leader of the Peoples Temple, which is best known for the November 18, 1978 mass suicide of 909 Temple members in Jonestown, Guyana along with the killings of five other people at a nearby airstrip. Over 200 children were murdered at Jonestown, almost all of whom were forcibly made to ingest cyanide by the elite Temple members.

Jones was born in Indiana and started the Temple in that state in the 1950s. Jones and the Temple later moved to California, and both gained notoriety with the move of the Temple's headquarters to San Francisco in the mid-1970s.

The incident in Guyana ranks among the largest mass suicides in history, though most likely it involved forced suicide and/or murder, and was the single greatest loss of American civilian life in a non-natural disaster until the events of September 11, 2001. Among the dead was Leo Ryan, who remains the only Congressman assassinated in the line of duty as a Congressman in the history of the United States.

Jay Wayne Jenkins (born October 12, 1977), better known by his stage name Young Jeezy, is an American rapper. He is a member of the hip hop group United Streets Dopeboyz of America (USDA) and a former member of BMF (Black Mafia Family). He began his career in 2001 under an independent label and joined Boyz 'N Da Hood in 2005, the same year his solo major label debut Let's Get It: Thug Motivation 101 was released. Its single "Soul Survivor", which featured Akon, became a top-ten hit in the US.

The Inspiration followed in 2006, and The Recession followed in 2008; both albums yielded chart-topping singles. Jeezy has also appeared on numerous other rap and R&B singles such as "Say I" by Christina Milian, "I'm So Paid" by Akon, "Hard" by Rihanna, and "Love in This Club" by Usher, the latter being a number one single on the US Billboard Hot 100 in 2008.

Jay Wayne Jenkins was born in Columbia, South Carolina and relocated to Atlanta, Georgia when he was a toddler. Because his parents were separated, custody of him transferred between family members frequently. In an interview with XXL magazine, he described his childhood as "empty". In 1994, he spent nine months in YCA (Youth Challenge Academy), a boot camp in Fort Stewart, Georgia, for narcotics possession.
