Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) notices Lexis (Sally Oliver) reluctance to hold the baby and she can see how badly Lexi wants a baby of her own. She tells a forlorn Lexi that if Carl (Tom Lister) wont give her what she wants she needs to find a man who will and stop being such a victim. Later, when the nurse brings Angelica back from having some tests, Nicola is in the shower and Lexis horrified when the nurse gives her the baby. She composes herself but her heart melts as she cradles the newborn, tearful she heads out looking for Nicola but finds herself feeling comfortable and proud to be holding the baby and when a passerby assumes its hers, she cant bring herself to correct her. Lexi is about to head back to the ward when she notices all the happy couples with their new born babies and caught up in the moment she wanders into the stairwell, watched by Scarlett who is busy running errands for Jimmy. When Scarlett arrives back she informs oblivious Nicola and Jimmy that Lexi has the baby, panicking they make their way upstairs and are horrified to find her on the roof with their daughter. Debbie (Charley Webb) has been playing hard to get with Michael (Jamie Belman) but finally succumbs to his charms and passionately kisses him when he arrives with a bottle of bubbly. Mark (Maxwell Caulfield) approaches and mentions he passed his details on to a friend in Dubai, Ryan is incredulous when he realises Mark is behind the job offer and accusing him of trying to pay him off with a dream job to make up for the way he has treated Faye, he warns him to keep away from them both. When Faye (Kim Thomson) discovers the Wyldes have set up the job , shes enraged and heads over to Home Farm to confront Mark. Natasha (Amanda Donohoe) is fuming when Faye starts to lay into Mark telling him she knows he has feelings for his son and thats why he wants to ship him off to Dubai. However, he decides not to go through with it and has to lie to Terry when asked about the visit. He heads home to reflect on his cowardice but gets disturbed by Gennies (Sian Reese-Williams) unexpected appearance. Bob admits to Gennie that he couldnt bring himself to visit Viv as he has to accept that has already lost her. As Gennie drops a wine cork on the floor Bob tries to retrieve it and the pair clash heads. Gennie takes Bobs face in her hands to check for any damage and when their eyes lock Gennie moves in for a kiss. Bob reciprocates and the moment becomes more passionate, leading inexorably towards the bedroom. Has Bob made a huge mistake? Viv (Deena Payne) arrives home from prison and Brenda pounces on her thinking she is a thief. A stunned Paddy (Dominic Brunt) is confronted with the sight of both women having a titanic battle amidst the shop goods. After Paddy explains the situation Brenda is horrified to realise she attacked her new business partner. Meanwhile, Bob races home and urges Gennie to steer clear of the shop and café for fear of bumping into Viv. Bob takes the twins home preparing for an emotional reunion. However, when the twins dont recognise their mum and things are strained between Viv and Bob it is clear settling back into her old life is going to be far from straightforward. As they discuss Bobs no-show at the prison, Viv berates him for his course of action and when Bob also asks her to give the twins time to adjust Viv feels more and more like a stranger in her own home. Fuming Paddy (Dominic Brunt) reels as he takes in the news that Chas (Lucy Pargeter) has betrayed him and feeling utterly humiliated, he roars at Carl (Tom Lister) to get out of his house. Lunging forwards he goes to attack Carl, who dodges him and leaves a broken Paddy on the floor, an emotional wreck. Meanwhile in the pub, Chas has come to the decision not to tell Paddy the truth yet and is hopeful that shes learned her lesson and she need not hurt him. Paddy goes to the surgery and starts smashing it up in a rage. Arriving at the pub with bin bags full of clothes, he rails at Chas in front of all the villagers. He tips the bags all over the floor and tells her he wants her out of his house and out of his life, he hates her. Desperate Chas is in tears as she begs him to give her a chance to explain, but hes adamant he wants her out, hes disgusted by her. Chas collapses to her knees sobbing as Paddy walks away.
