2010 MTV Video Music Awards Nominations Recap
Facebook.com - Become a Fan! Twitter.com - Follow Us! We've got the official MTV VMA nominations list, up next. Hey everyone! Thanks for coming back to ClevverTV. I'm Dana Ward and I'm saying, let's jump right into this official nominee list for this year's MTV Video Music Awards. If we're giving a winner based on the number of nods, the 2010 victor is Lady Gaga. She earned 13 nominations - and she is the first artist to ever receive two nods in the Vid of the Year category... meanwhile Eminem got runner-up this year with 8 nominations. There were even some first-time VMA-ers including Justin Bieber for Best New Artist, Ke$ha for Best New Artist, Best Female Vid and Best Pop Video, Drake in the Best Male Video and Best Hip Hop Vid Categories, BoB for Best Male Video, Best Collaboration, Best Pop Video, Best Hip Hop Video and Video of the Year. Also first timers, Florence + The Machine got 4 nods while Mumford and Sons got a nomination too. Beyonce gets some creds because her work with Gaga - in Video Phone and Telephone - got noticed. A few other artists mixed in there include Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Jay-Z, Jason Derulo, Usher, Pink, Paramore, Muse, Rihanna and more. In addition to the normal BEST OF categories in hip hop, pop, rock, dance as well as the behind-the-scenes special effects, editing, direction, cinematography, choreography and art direction, Best New Artist, Best Female Video and Best Male Video are some of the coveted trophies. But, of course, Video of ...

WE DO NOT OWN ANYTHING. ALL RIGHTS BELONG TO THEIR RESPECTIVE OWNERS. Michael Jackson - 1995 MTV Video Music Awards Performance [Enhanced - FULL HD High Definition (1080p)] The 1995 MTV Video Music Awards aired live on September 7, 1995, honoring the best music videos from June 16, 1994, to June 15, 1995. The show was hosted by Dennis Miller at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. David Sandlin was commissioned to design the program catalogue. Main show Michael Jackson (featuring Slash) — "Medley" ("Don't Stop 'til You Get Enough"/"The Way You Make Me Feel"/"Scream"/"Beat It"/"Thriller"/"Black or White"/"Billie Jean"),"Dangerous"/"Smooth Criminal","You Are Not Alone" As part of the big push to promote his greatest-hits album HIStory: Past, Present and Future: Book I, Michael Jackson kicked off the 1995 Video Music Awards with an epic 15-minute medley of some of his biggest hits, including "Beat It," "The Way You Make Me Feel," "Black or White" and "Smooth Criminal." Jackson was joined onstage by former Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash, who had previously recorded a number of tunes with Jackson on both HIStory and 1993's Dangerous. The top-hatted star ripped through the songs with aplomb, while Jackson strutted and danced maniacally. Jackson and Slash cut one of the classic silhouettes in the history of the VMAs: the pair standing downstage, wind machines blowing around smoke (and their hair), with Jackson dancing and Slash pulling off a blistering guitar solo during ...

2009 MTV Video Music Awards Preview
Twitter.com - Follow Us! MTV and VMA go hand in hand. We've got the 2009 awards preview right now! Hey people! I'm Dana Ward at Clevver TV breaking down the highlights for the upcoming show before its even happens. That's right, let's start out with some of the VMA basics. The MTV fave awards show is set for a Radio City Music Hall location in New York City with last year's same host: the outrageously joking, crazy styled British comedian, Russell Brand. Leading the nominations pack, Beyonce and Lady Gaga both received nine nods, with Single Ladies and Poker Face being the focus. And Britney Spears got nominated for seven categories, including for Womanizer and Circus. Getting 4 nominations each include Kanye West, Eminem and Coldplay. The big category - Music Video of the Year - Single Ladies, Poker Face, We Made You, Love Lockdown and Womanizer. Some other nods go for Best New Artist, Female and Male Videos, Hip-Hop, Rock, Pop Videos, as well as fro Best Choreography, Direction, Editing, Special Effects, Cinematography and Art Direction. Some cool ones include Breakthrough Video and Best Video that Should Have Won a Moonman. And on to my favorite... The most explosive, exciting, entertaining part of the night includes the musical performances! Some scheduled singers and bands include Taylor Swift, Pink, Green Day and Muse. The VMAs are set to shoot Sunday, September 13th at 9pm eastern time - but there will be a slight delay incase some creative-minds get some bad ideas ...

MTV Video Music Awards 2012 Performances - Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj
The 2012 MTV Video Music Awards aired Thursday on MTV. Here's a recap of the winners and performances. What did you miss during the pre-show? Well, Amber Rose and Wiz Khalifa announced they have a baby on the way. Other than that, it was pretty much standard VMA action: strange outfits and incoherent interview responses. Now, your play-by-play of the ceremony, which was held in Los Angeles: 8 pm - Rihanna kicks off the show by performing "Cockiness," followed by "We Found Love." There are balloon-like objects in the air, possibly stolen from the DNC. 8:05 - Host Kevin Hart approaches the stage, posing as a presidential candidate while being escorted by little people in suits. His opening monologue has a theme: "If you make a mistake, so what?" His thoughts on the Chris Brown/Drake feud? "Nip it in the bud, guys. I'm tired of it." 8:14 - Best Pop Video goes to One Direction for "What Makes You Beautiful." They (slightly) break their Moonman trophy. 8:25 - Miley Cyrus' hair completely baffles me. 8:26 - Pink sings "Blow Me (One Last Kiss)." She opens the performance with a few verses of "Get This Party Started," which I appreciate. I'm not as keen on the aerial acts that somehow always appear in Pink's performances. Or the giant dancing lips on the stage. But I like this song, so I'll let it go. 8:30 - Best Male Video goes to Chris Brown for "Turn Up the Music." Very short, non-controversial acceptance speech. Probably for the best. 8:38 - Frank Ocean performs "Thinkin ...

MTV Video Music Awards 2012 Preview -- Justin bieber & One Direction
The MTV Video Music Awards, which is set to air from Los Angeles on September 6, will be a star-studded affair with big-name celebrities set to perform and present. Former Disney-actress turned singer Demi Lovato will be headlining the event in a live pre-show an hour before the award ceremony, the network announced Tuesday. Lovato will be joined on stage by "Feel So Close" artist, Calvin Harris. According to MTV, Lovato said, "I'm so excited to perform at the VMA preshow. I can't believe it!" The winner of the new "Most Share-Worthy Video" award will be announced at the pre-show, MTV said. According to Mashable, people can vote for their favorite in this category using hashtags on Twitter. Artists Carly Rae Jepson, One Direction, Justin Bieber, Beyoncé and Gotye are in the running for the new award. The hashtags #votebieber and #voteonedirection dominated the social media site on Tuesday, with the British band taking a slight lead over Bieber. This is the second time MTV has used Twitter to count votes for awards, Mashable reported. The voting technique, which was first used in May, is just one way MTV will be using the Internet to attract viewers. Mashable also reported that MTV will give audience members the chance to "GIF" any moment during the award show with a "GIF It" creator embedded into each video it posts online. MTV's SVP of digital media, Colin Helms, told the site, "This is the vernacular of the audience, so we want to give them more tools to amplify this ...
