Makiladoras-Niemand weet wat de toekomst brengt 10" (Repost)

Here is another repost: We posted Niemand weet.. back in January of 2008, here it is again in a new rip @320 kbps and full scans of covers, labels and the twelve page booklet.
"Niemand weet .." is a 10" that spins in 45 rpm, it was recorded in 2001 and released in 2003 by a bunch of labels, 2000 copies were made. There is not much left to say, what could be said about the band was said in the previous Niemand weet.. post and in Makiladoras/Radio Bikini-split post as well. Now Makiladoras is history, Eva formed a melodic hardcore band called Link and hits the drums, an eight track recording from summer of 2006 is supposed to be released sometime in the future on 12" under the name "Niemandsland" by Profane Existence.
I don't want to keep it short but there is nothing to say. V/A-Human dust vol 2

This is a crust/grind compilation released by an unknown label from Dortmund, Germany but what makes it something more than a usual noisy compilation is the tunes of a well known crust legend: Doom appear under a different name and deliver a short grindcore-y track recorded in 1989, This was a surprise for me since there is nothing on front/back cover mentioning about them..
I know nothing about Na Und? Records and only a few about the bands that appear here: The compilation is titled vol 2, sometime before this a vol 1 came out, i have never seen it around though. It comes in foldout cover and purple vinyl and was released in 2000
There are 10 bands and 12 tracks here, most of the them are unknown or at least i never met them before: Basalt is a crust/grind act from Germany and all i know about them is the split w/ Accion Mutante.vÖlkeRmord deliver one track of heavy and sick midpaced stenching crust/grind, they come from Rhur, Germany and they have no any relation to the black metallers from Sweden with the same name. They recorded one demo, they released one lp and according to their myspace they are going to release a split with Instinct of Survival
Tolshock come from Sweden and members were connected with bands such as G-Anx, Counterblast, Farcical ,Warcollapse and many others, they released two 7"s, one split 7" and two 3", Chris posted some of their releases here.
Wartoys come from Germany,all i know about them is "Nachzehrer 7",(thanks to Pope) and Mikes from the band used to run Washingrad Crust blog
Instinct of Survival are the crust dinosaurs from Hamburg and need no any introduction, their tracks come from their early days when they were a grindcore band, once again Pope has posted something for you,here
Tuco Ramirez are absolutely unknown to me but thanks to Bacteria we can lean a few things about them:two tapes, one split w/ Boycot and a few contributions is their history. Music wise they are noisy grinding hardcore
Staniak were from Lüneburg, Niedersachsen, not any infos on their my space
Gmork are the last band from Germany, i dont know anything about them, the black metal band from Russia with the same name has no any relation with them
Sick Terror's track reminds me of Ratos de Porao, they formed in 2000 and they already have a long back catalogue,
And last but not least, Slorm is Doom with John (vocals,)Bri (guitar),Pete(bass) and Stick(drums), the track was recorded in Birmingham in Xmass eve of 1989, there is a small text inside the cover but i don't understand not a single word..i wish only their stuff was a bit more..

A farewell post

This is the last and farewell post for 2008 with some ep's that were posted in the first days of this blog: Wolfbrigade/Audio Kollaps split (2001,Epistrophy) World Burns to Death/Sick Terror split (2003,Terroten), Makiladoras/Radio Bikini-split(2004, co-operation of labels), Napalm Death's Live in Europe (1989 on Lee Dorian's Rise Above Records), that was kindly contributed by HPZ, (cheers dude, wherever you are) and Black Kronstadt's A world to win (1995, Consensus Reality),a big thanks to Whispy for buying it for me. Five records and all come with full scans (front/back/etc)," A world to win" includes the sixteen page booklet with poems of Max Sloan and Makiladoras/Radio Bikini split the twelve page booklet with lyrics.
There is nothing else to say,Solidarity to people of Gaza, Merry Crisis and Happy New Fear to everyone, see ya next year with a brand new turntable and more crust.

Social Outcasts?/Eitilop Pots - Retous Metamodernus! (split 7")

I've been thinking about posting this for some time now & finally I managed to invest the time needed to rip the vinyl, shoot & crop the pictures, & write this little blurb. I hope the greeks & dutch visitors of this blog will appreciate this - it sure cost me a lot of time.

Social Outcasts? (Koinonika Apovlita? or, if you prefer, Κοινωνικά Απόβλητα;) were a greek band from Athens active in the period February 1988-April 1990 & mostly known for putting out a split LP with the (legendary in Greece) synthpunk band Anti (Αντί). (In typical sloppy/the-greek-way fashion, the Anti side of the LP is available for download all over the web but the Social Outcasts? side is nowhere to be found - sorry!) Their sound is along the lines of greek proto-crust bands - no more, no less; I was very pleasanly surprised when I listened to this for the first time, as I was expecting something more punky. Information on the band is pretty hard to find, so I'll mostly recite from memory: the band was associated with the squat in Asklipiou 34, while their drummer (Yannis Kolovos) put out the well-known fanzine "Στις Σκιές Του Β-23 (Stis Skies Tou B-23/In The Shadows Of B-23)" (mostly known to youngsters in the greek scene for the "Fragmenta" compilations). Apart from the 7" (1989) & the split LP (1990), they also released a demo tape (1989), which I've never seen though... One member of the band used to be in Χαμένα Ιδανικά (Hamena Idanika/Lost Ideals), an athenian band which formed in 1986 & released a rehearsal tape in 1988. If you happen to speak greek, check out also the Anexartisi website, the indisputable authority as far as archiving the greek scene is concerned. I would also appreciate very, very much any info one might be willing to share with us. (Don't get me in the `we bust our asses & all we get is feedback from the usual suspects' mode, haha!)

Eitilop Pots are a dutch band from Rotterdam (where Anarcrust also hailed from) who is even bigger a mystery for me. Their discography, as I know it, consists of this 7", a split LP with Surf Or Die on Power Noize (1989), the compilation EP "Rockin Together" which also came out on Power Noize (1989 - see also KFTH), & a compilation called "Welcome To Our Scene" (1991) & issued by "Stichting De Wijde Wereld" ("The Wide World Foundation" - also known as "Westfries Radio Front/WRF"). Apart from that though, I've exactly zero information, so additions are more than welcome! I'll just remark that their name is an anagram of 'Stop Politie' (i.e., 'Stop Police') - in fact, the very same anagram that appears on top of dutch cop cars (you know the deal - so that the driver up front can read it in their rear-view mirror, just like 'Ecnalubma/Ambulance'). Either weird or ironic, I guess. Also, their sound is rather singular in that it's not crusty (or nederthrashy) in the list - the only comparison that comes to mind is the Moonlizards one, but it's an awful one (the two bands don't sound alike & Moonlizards were from Groningen, which is another story altogether; but both bands have an ear for melody).

To the best of my knowledge, this 7" has never been posted anywhere before (& it sure as hell has been out of print for a couple of decades - it came out in 1989 on the greek indie-&-HC label Wipe-Out mind you). So, enjoy! Meanwhile, I'll send a shout-out to the Old Punk who Never Dies whose advice on taking photos of covers proved very valuable - thanks!

Shikari-Robot wars 10"

Ok, no need for much blah blah about this since the post of the st 7" has the bio and infos about the band. So only a few words about the record:
These eight tracks were recorded in February of 2000 in (were else?) Kuschelrock Studio in Bremen, Germany and were released in 10 inches in the December of 2000 by Deadlock Records. 1170 copies were pressed including a 6 page booklet, the artwork is in the vein of Bremen scene records and Shikari's neo-screamo crust is very close to Carol, Acme etc
The Deadlock site is down so i don't know if this is still available but these tracks are available in the mp3's of Bacteria since 2004.

Shikari-st 7"

Shikari were a screamo-crust band from Groningen, Netherlands,originally formed in 1999 by two Office Killer members. Their first release was "Robot wars" 10" in 2000 including their first recordings and that was followed by a 10" split w/ Seein Red (2002) and the s/t 7". Two split 7" (with Phoenix Bodies and Acao Direta) was put out in 2004 and their final release was the split w/ Louise Cyphre in 2005.the Shikari tracks from the 2004 split ep's were originally recorded for a split 7" with Sin Dios. There is also the "1999-2003" discog CD (2004) and two tape versions of it for Chile and Malaysia and apart from all these, they contributed tracks in several compilations.

The st 7" was going to be released by a German label but the whole thing was canceled because of the bad pressing so it was finally released by Level Plane Records. Only 500 copies were made and sold out and one year later a Cd version in 1000 copies came out including a 30 minute video shot from a gig in Rotterdam.
If you like emotional neo-crust with thick guitars and screaming vocals that create an intense atmosphere in the vein of Bremen scene, then this is for you. Some melodies are thrown here and there, double bass drumming, high pitched screaming vocals and lyrics in a personal view. The artwork reminds of the Bremen scene too (and Shikari's not far from the screamo-hardcore of Carol, Systral and Acme but that's not surprise since the tracks have been recorded by Dirk Kusche) and due to some mistakes in printing the lyrics insert, a part of The last thing lyrics is missing.
Shikari (Bodyhunter in japanese) disbanded around 2006, members were involved with bands such as Makiladoras, R.O.Conspiracy, Grinding Halt, One Day Closer, Office Killer and others

A slight correction here: Maquiladoras there are everywhere around the globe:latin America, Indochina, east Europe,wherever exploitation becomes a inhuman routine under government protection and the eyes of the public in western world never see, the voice can never be heard and apathy rules. The greatness of neoliberalism...

"Niemand weet wat de toekomst brengt 10" was recorded in 2001 and released in 2003 by a bunch of labels from Netherlands, France, Spain and Germany:UPS,DP(Or Not DP), Malinke,Svaveldioxid,LUX,Squawk and Pozoin Banaketak. 2000 copies were pressed and sold out. The band moves in their well know paths of metal edged crust blending swedish crust and death metal riffs (Dismember and the likes) with some traces of From Ashes Rise of Tragedy here and there and the yelling vocals of Eva. The artwork is excellent as always in Makiladoras records and includes a photocopied booklet with photos, lyrics, translations in English and song descriptions,special thanks and some texts
In 2005 two Malaysian labels(Bullwhip Records,Cactus Records) put out a discography cd including the 10", the tracks from split 7" w Radio Bikini and two extra tracks(from compilation and unreleased)
Makiladoras was formed in 1999 and after some line ups changes, lack of willingness to go on and personal problems they disbanded after their final show on Trashfest 11 in Hoogeveen on 24th June 2006 ,
In 2004 they became the first Dutch d.i.y. band to tour Israel while a new lp/cd called "Niemandsland" is going to come out in 2008 by Profane Existence

Anarcrust - (s/t 7")

Hi to all from the new member of this blog & a shout-out to 7inchcrust for adding me to it. I'll be posting - rather infrequently, I'm afraid - some releases I ripped & scanned myself & which are hopefully of interest to people reading this blog. You'll notice that I'm not particularly knowledgeable regarding what I post, so I'd appreciate any info one would be willing to offer on a release/band featured here - please post a comment, it's good karma!...

The first of these is Anarcrust's self-titled 7" from dog-knows-when (mid-to-late '90s, I guess). The band operated from Rotterdam, NL & was featured in Skuld's "Whispers" compilation (that's how I came to hear of them) & in Profane Existence's "Think Globally, Act Locally" compilation. Although I didn't dig the track featured in Whispers (& don't remember their track in the other compilation), I have to say that I liked the 7" in question: a sound all of their own, if not all that groundbreaking... Apart from that, the band is a complete mystery to me (& I guess to many other people, as there's practically no info on the web related to them; even the mighty Women In Heavy Music have given up on them). Apparently, they recorded a couple of studio albums ( "Freedom Of Coalescence" & "Progression Of Decline") & a live one ("Smooth As A Motherfucker: Live In Maribor 1.3.95").

This self-released 7" came in a gatefold cover with beautiful artwork. The left pocket of the cover contains an inlay, the right one contains the record (white vinyl with entirely black labels), & the cover opens up (gate-un-folds?...) to the lyrics of the two tracks. That's it. (Except maybe for one thing: does anyone else thing the band member in the far right looks somewhat too much like chucky the killer doll?...)
