Mystical Anarchism, (2009).
Mystical Anarchism began in collaboration with artist Clodagh Emoe and philosopher Simon Critchley as a secret midnight lecture in Glendalough, Co. Wicklow in 2009. Over one hundred people gathered together on a hand-mat mat measuring 17 metres x 7 metres. Mystical Anarchism engages with the philosophical proposition of the “dividual” as a subject within the collective. Mystical Anarchism uses staging as an artistic process that foregrounds timing, location and methods of assembly to initiate an other space where the philosopher’s ideas might be felt or experienced.
The film, Mystical Anarchism, (2011) (HD Film, 35’ with sound) was produced by Clodagh Emoe and Thomas McGraw Lewis.
This film was later screened in a vacant office space in Smithfield Square. The hand-mat mat measuring 17 metres x 7 metres used in the original event in Glendalough was laid out for the audience to gather on. Prior to the screening a “last-supper” for over two hundred and fifty people was hosted by Edia Connole as a Taste of Faith. A three hour public conversation with Simon Critchley on the mat concluded the event. The event was kindly supported by, Ben Redman, Block T, Dublin.
The film was also included in the installation:
The Closing of Mystical Anarchism, (2013).
Sleepwalkers, Production as Process, 2013.
Hugh Lane Municipal Gallery, Dublin.
The Judgement is the Mirror, 2013
With, Tiong Ang, Clodagh Emoe, Jan Kaila, Japo Knuutila, Roger Palmer, Mick Wilson.
Curated by Henk Slager.
Nylo, Iceland.
Screenings include:
Dark Nights of the Universe, (2012).
A four-night exploration of mysticism in dialogue with Du noir universe, a text by François Laruelle hosted by The Public School New York.
Recess Project Space, New York.
Black Metal/Mysticism/Anarchism, (2011).
Presented by Edia Connole as part of MA ACW, NCAD
Edinburgh Fringe Festival, (2011).
Curated by Lyndsay Mann.
Portrait of a Space, (2011).
Curated by Teresa Gillespie and Rose Lejeune.
Clonlea Studios, Dublin.
Mystical Anarchism is a self-initiated project by the artist Clodagh Emoe and philospher Simon Critchley. The work would not have been made without the support and assistance of friends, colleagues and collaborators that include: Yvette Monaghan, Sean Breithaupt, Thomas McGrath Lewis, Phil Kelly, Gearoid Carvell, Andrew Brady, Edia Connole, Cormac Browne, Dan Carvell, Pat Murphy, Aoife Hurley, Ciaran Curtain, Cathy Tynan, Danielle O’ Connell and Simon Keating, Mags Fitzgibbon, Justine Emoe, Audrey Emoe and Genny Carraro. Special thanks to GradCAM/DIT and to everybody who participated in the event.

Ultra-nationalist political parties scored unprecedented victories at the European elections, making the rise of the far-right in Europe impossible to ignore. Many of these groups, some of which are openly neo-Nazi, are gaining strength everywhere.
In Sweden, there's been a sharp rise in political violence in the country, with crimes carried out by radical groups making headlines. However, what's unusual is that one of the most violent extremist organizations in Sweden aligns itself not with Nazism and the far-right, but with anti-fascism and the far-left.
Known as the Revolutionary Front, this group of militant socialists aim to crush fascism by any means necessary. VICE News set out to try and find the Revolutionary Front, and to understand the unlikely rise of the militant far-left in Sweden.

Lode Cossaer about Analytical Anarchism
Die Sons of Libertas zu Gast auf der European Students for Liberty regional Konferenz in Köln.
Lode Cossaer is first and foremost the philosophical type. In high school he started reading into political philosophy and decided that the liberal tradition had the most compelling arguments. At the University of Antwerp, where he studied philosophy, he became a board member of the Antwerp division of the Flemish Classical Liberal Students Association (LVSV). He served on the board for three years, including one with a double mandate as Political Secretary at the national level. During these years he transformed from a Rawls/Friedman hybrid to a natural law based, spontaneous order anarchist (however, he still prefers the term ‘Classical Liberal’). Over the years, he has attended many seminars from the IHS, FEE, the Mises Institute and IES. He currently also serves as Academic Director at the Belgian Murray Rothbard Institute. He is mainly responsible for their program of Dutch seminars. He is doing a one year pre-doctoral program at KU Leuven, specializing in ethics and political philosophy. His dissertation is on Cohen’s critique of Robert Nozick.
Lode’s passion lies in both academics and activism. His ideal career is to be able to combine a professorship with active membership of a think tank such as the IHS, FEE, Cato or the Mises Institute. Feel free to contact him if you are in need of reading recommendations or need help with a liberty-related paper in any way.
Favorite Figures in Liberty: Murray Rothbard, Frank van Dun, Friedrich Hayek, Ludwig von Mises, Anthony De Jasay, and Robert Nozick
On European Students For Liberty: “After just one year of European Students For Liberty, the prospects of a strong, European movement for liberty on the student level seems strong. Hopefully, we can make it even better by the end of this term. I invite everyone liberty minded to join us and ask for our help. We have nothing to lose but our chains. We have a world to win!”

Iceland is a mountainous island nation in the north Atlantic Ocean, located between Europe and North America. Though not part of the continental mainland, the country is considered Nordic European. The name of the country—Iceland—may not be that appropriate: although 10% of Iceland is covered by glaciers, it has a surprisingly mild climate and countless geothermal hot-spots. The native spelling ("Ísland") is appropriate in English as well.
See in Iceland
============
The Blue Lagoon is a geothermal spa and the most famous sight in Iceland.
The Gullfoss waterfall is quite spectacular.
Geysir, the namesake of all geysers, and its neighbour Strokkur which erupts every five minutes or so.
Þingvellir National Park, a beautiful landscape of water-cut lava fields, which is historically important as the site of Iceland's parliament from 930 AD.
Vatnajökull glacier is in Southeast Iceland and is Europe's largest glacier.
Jökulsárlón, the largest glacier lake in Iceland, is located off Route 1 and part of Vatnajökull glacier.
In the colder months, one may frequently get stunning views of the Aurora Borealis, a.k.a. Northern Lights[33] anywhere away from city lights.
Do in Iceland
============
Iceland offers many hiking opportunities. Hiking in Iceland is no easy business, strong walking boots which support your ankles are recommended as the terrain is usually craggy lava rock or springy moss with hidden holes! Likewise, you'll need to be prepared for strong bursts of sideways rain and sleet, especially in winter and shoulder seasons, and particularly in the mountains. Don't stray into unknown terrain without proper equipment, read up more on hiking in Iceland.
Iceland is not well known for skiing or big ski areas but the town of Akureyri in the north has a great little ski area and the mountains of the Troll Peninsula offer world class terrain for ski touring, ski mountaineering and heli skiing.
Ice climbing is great with world class frozen waterfalls and plenty of glaciers.
Glacier hiking is one of Iceland´s most popular tourist things to do with the area of Skaftafell in the SE being the center of activity.
Whale watching available all year from Reykjavik and during the summer from Husavik, but sightings are most common in summer in either place.
There are some good opportunities to go mobiling and this can provide access to otherwise inaccessable areas.
Whitewater rafting is popular. In south you can raft on the big Hvita river. North Iceland has some of the best rivers for rafting, Vestari and Austari Jokulsa. The companies offering rafting are located in Varmahlid. One of them is Bakkaflot with really good facilities (hot pools, accommodation restaurant & drinks) to use after your adventure.
