The national park of Khar Turan, located southeast of the Iranian city of Shahrud, is home to the last remaining Asiatic cheetahs.
Shahrud's Khar Turan, with an area of 1.4 million ha. in the province of Semnan, is the second largest reserve in Iran, and due to its vast scale and difficult desert situation, most of its animals and species have been able to save themselves against poachers.
The area is estimated to be home to 12-15 cheetahs out of the whole population of 50 living in Iran, and occasional sighting of the animal with cubs indicates a growing population.
The area has one of the richest diversities in terms of mammal species in the country, and has the largest population of onager in Iran as well as a good number of the two species of gazelles, wild sheep and wild goat, which ensure cheetah survival.

Let me just start by saying that Iran has some of the best pistachio in the world, the selection is broad and each one of them tastes out of the world; this was the region where these pistas grow. Just outside Sharud on our way to Tehran, I am not 100% sure about precise location and town.
When the shop owner saw me filming, he waived and instructed me not to, so I had to stop. A few minutes later after some broken Farsi, and some pistachio purchase, I was back again. The guy in the mustache is the one who instructed me to stop filiming.

4. Casa de Imam Yom-e
El siguiente reportaje va dirigido hacia aquellas personas que piensan que Teherán, capital iraní, es una ciudad moderna e industrial, pues les recordamos que nuestra capital no tiene nada que envidiar a las provincias históricas que la rodean. Ojo, porque en el siguiente reportaje se va a hablar sobre una de las casas históricas ubicadas en Teherán, una joya arquitectónica.

Shahrud
Shahrud (Şahrud) is classified as a "short-necked lute." The word sehrud is of Persian origin, derived from the words sah-i rûd (شاهرود), meaning "king of lutes/large lute." Though Al-Farabi (-950) included an illustration of the sehrud in his Kitâbü'l Musiki, it is very difficult to determine particulars from this drawing. But this old sehrud is completely different from the large ud often encountered in Iranian miniatures of a few centuries later. Thus it is clear that this old name changed in meaning, being applied to a new and different instrument. One of the most-illustrated instruments in Iranian and Ottoman miniatures, the sehrud was generally drawn overlarge. From this standpoint, the miniatures were obviously not realistic. In some miniatures, it is difficult to say whether the instrument depicted is an ud or a sehrud.
There is no obvious difference in design between Iranian and Ottoman sehruds. However, it can be determined from miniatures that Iran it was played with the neck horizontal, while the Ottomans played it with the neck elevated.

Let me just start by saying that Iran has some of the best pistachio in the world, the selection is broad and each one of them tastes out of the world; this was the region where these pistas grow. Just outside Sharud on our way to Tehran, I am not 100% sure about precise location and town.
When the shop owner saw me filming, he waived and instructed me not to, so I had to stop. A few minutes later after some broken Farsi, and some pistachio purchase, I was back again. The guy in the mustache is the one who instructed me to stop filiming.

La verdad es que tenemos muy pocas palabras para describirles el reportaje que van a ver a continuación. Pero así muy por encima, les podemos adelantar que como objetivo principal tiene el propósito de decirnos que querer es poder y que nos dejará con un sentido de frescor estupendísimo en estos tórridos días estivales.
2. Shahrud II: Variedad climatológica
Una de las características más peculiares de Irán es que goza de las cuatro estaciones y dispone de una variedad climatológica increíble y sin parangón en todo el mundo.
3. Artesanía en Yasuch
En los episodios anteriores les hablamos de una nueva provincia y de su capital, que se denomina Yasuch. La semana pasada nos concentramos, sobre todo, en las atracciones naturales de esta zona. Pues esta semana queremos hablarles de la artesanía y los souvenires de esta provincia.
4. Casa de Imam Yom-e
El siguiente reportaje va dirigido hacia aquellas personas que piensan que Teherán, capital iraní, es una ciudad moderna e industrial, pues les recordamos que nuestra capital no tiene nada que envidiar a las provincias históricas que la rodean. Ojo, porque en el siguiente reportaje se va a hablar sobre una de las casas históricas ubicadas en Teherán, una joya arquitectónica.
