Ladies Golf Open

Ladies Open Day was held on Saturday 22nd September. 53 members from various clubs took part in the competition which was sponsored by GB Auto Electrics, Stephen Bevege Mechanical Repairs and David Goddard and Company. The support of these businesses is greatly appreciated.

Guests on the day were very impressed with the condition of the course and the generosity and catering from the local members. Even though we are a small club the support of all our members makes these days a great success.

Last Saturday was the “Poppies on Wallace “trophy sponsored by Michelle Grant which was won by Les Hart, and his son in law, Keith North. Some ladies will no doubt be having a lovely morning tea or lunch at “Poppies”. The golf club sincerely thanks all trophy donors who contribute to our club. This makes it easier for the club to raise funds to contribute to much needed new machinery, to keep our beautiful course in an immaculate condition. Thanks to our green keeper and his helpers for a fantastic job.

Also thanks to a huge band of volunteers who turned up on Wednesday to help with the coring of the greens. We can’t do it without you

Some near misses with fallen trees and snakes made for interesting golf this weekend. Several members are travelling to the Murray River courses this week for a week of golf and fun, many competitors are former Braidwood players who just love to keep in touch and attempt to beat the locals.
