You can't hold on to the air I'm breathing.
Why can't you just get over it.
And you can not have the sights I'm seeing.
Why can't you just get over it.
We walk the line and then you slip.
The last time, I'm over it.
Walk the line and then you slip.
The last time, I'm over it.
Want it, cause it feels so good.
It's in the way I see it.
Tried to leave it, no one could.
You've been erased, deleted.
This is how our parting sounds.
It's not to be repeated.
The more I look, the less I've found.
All bets are off, you cheated.
I'm gonna ride away.
This masquerade is spent.
Cause all the feelings fade.
You can't fill in for all I've needed.
Why can't you just get over it.
And you do not act the way your treated.
Want it, cause it feels so good.
It's in the way I see it.
Tried to leave it, no one could.
You've been erased, deleted.
This is how our parting sounds.
It's not to be repeated.
The more I look, the less I've found.
I've been to New York City
And I walked the weakest roads.
Seen L.A. and its perfect salesman,
All dressed in holy robes.
And all that's left to say,
Is spread throughout this town.
You wanna get lost at the foot of my cross.
Then come on, baby.
And it's in your face,
Can read it clearly now.
Looks like I'm lost at the foot or your cross.
So come on save me.
I've been to Chicago
And don't think I haven't crossed the seas
Seen Milan and its model fashion.
It brings me to my knees.
I think I've come undone.
And all that's left to say,
Is spread throughout this town.
You wanna get lost at the foot of my cross.
Then come on, baby.
And it's in your face,
Can read it clearly now.
Looks like I'm lost at the foot or your cross.
So come on save me.
And all that's left to say,
Is spread throughout this town.
You wanna get lost at the foot of my cross.
Then come on, baby.
And it's in your face,
Can read it clearly now.
Looks like I'm lost at the foot or your cross.
So come on save me.
You look awake and I can't let go.
But those eyes are blank, and you can't be free from yourself.
A room dressed in white, but you'll never know.
I stand by your side. And you can't be free from yourself.
And all it s well that ends well, alright.
As car pass by all night.
And I can see you right, but you can't.
Stick the tubes all the way in.
To fill you up again.
And I'll be there at the end. At your will.
You look awake and I can't let go.
But those eyes are blank, and you can't be free from yourself.
A room dressed in white, but you'll never know.
And we go, where the words are found.
All the sayings, that we care about.
And I run, when you say,
that your word is the only honest way.
I can't wake,
Can't wake up.
I can't sleep,
Can't sleep.
Wake up,
Wake up,
Wake up.
So quickly dated.
You play the saint, I'll imitate it.
All that we hope for, so bow down.
The shot is your priest.
Why wait, I feel like god inside your embrace.
I'd be the gun as you are shot, shot, shot in the back.
I see the sun in splinters.
Why wait.
All the times,
All the ways,
And it cuts you from the start.
All the scars,
All the stains,
And it cuts into your side.
I've been down,
I've been saved,
And it hurts me everyday.
I bend down,
I'm a slave.
I can't wake,
Can't wake up.
I can't sleep.
Can't sleep.
Wake up,
Wake up,
Wake up.
I can't delay it.
We all go out medicated.
Can't change a timeline, so bow down.
The shot is release.
Why wait, I feel like god inside your embrace.
I'd be the gun as you are shot, shot, shot in the back.
I see the sun in splinters.
Why wait.
Shot, shot, shot in the back.
I see the sun in splinters.
Shot, shot, shot in the back.
I'd be the gun as you are shot, shot, shot in the back.
I feel like god inside your :
This is the anthem of the year
And I'm fucking gold.
They say what you wanna hear
and I know I'll never die old
This is the anthem of the year
And I ... I ... I ...
I want you to wait.
I want you to see.
I want you to notice
All that'll never be.
Seen signs do you taste it?
Unlike most anything.
Seen signs, you have no place in this world.
This is the anthem of the year
And I'm fucking gold.
They say what you wanna hear
and I know I'll never die old
Burn your bridges, we call.
Burn your bridges, we shout.
Your fire is burning out.
Seen signs do you taste it?
Unlike most anything.
Seen signs, you have no place in this world.
You had it but you lost it to play it safe
And we set it.
You'd take the wrong road if it was the easy way.
Got to get it.
You'd sooner be forgotten than die with grace
And we set it.
So no one listens when you say what you say.
Got to get it.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
You're part of the show.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
We set it to blow.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
This is the anthem of the year
And I'm fucking gold.
They say what you wanna hear
and I know I'll never die old
This is the anthem of the year
And I'm fucking gold.
They say what you wanna hear
and now I ... I ...
We set it,
We set it ablaze.
It's too far along and it's wrong to change ways.
We set it,
We set it ablaze.
It's too far gone to be home anyways.
You had it but you lost it to play it safe
And we set it.
You'd take the wrong road if it was the easy way.
Got to get it.
You'd sooner be forgotten than die with grace
And we set it.
So no one listens when you say what you say.
Got to get it.
This is the anthem
Burn out, die young.
This is the anthem
Burn out, die young.
This is the anthem
Burn out, die young.
This is the anthem
Cause there I a house made of black stone,
And it sits at the end of the road.
I'd paint it red and it's forgotten.
Some say. That I'd disappear
That I'd disappear.
That I'd disappear.
This isn't automatic.
This is impossible.
We all are far from tragic.
We are like statues of.
This isn't automatic.
This is impossible.
We all are far from tragic.
We are like statues of.
It's hard t ostand when it's all in your head.
Find that black house paint it red.
It's hard to feel when you've been through this much.
Wanna talk, wanna touch.
It's hard to run when you can't find your feet.
And I don't want your world on me.
Cause on the inside. Everything's white,
And I'd loose myself in it's light.
I'd close the door and get forgotten. Some say.
We are like statues of stone.
This isn't automatic.
This is impossible.
We all are far from tragic.
We are like statues of.
This isn't automatic.
This is impossible.
We all are far from tragic.
We are like statues of.
This isn't automatic.
This is impossible.
We all are far from tragic.
We are like statues of.
Statues of stone.
Slam the door and turn the key.
Punch the dash, red light on empty.
Why stop, lets take it slow.
I wanna get you to go.
Pop the lock and fill the tank.
Trade it in for the newest make.
Why stop, seen engines blow.
I wanna get you to go.
Get you to go.
Get you to go.
Get you to go.
Get you to go.
The street curves around your bend.
Hold tight, here's where it all ends.
Why stop, when I'm in tow.
I wanna get you to go.
Kill the lights, drive to the clouds.
So gone we cannot come down.
Why stop, are we getting low?
I wanna get you to go.
Time, time flying by.
With you at my side, I won't ever come down.
Time, time flying by.
With you at my side, I won't ever come down.
Time, time flying by.
With you at my side, I won't ever come down.
Pump the break, it's over now.
Fill it up for another round.
Why stop, lets take it slow.
I wanna get you to go.
Straight ahead, is where we land.
This is all according to plan.
Why stop are we getting low?
I wanna get you to go.
We both hesitated as we step from the line.
Cause one of us is going down, and it's not my time.
All thoughts concentrated. Count down till the last.
Each pace takes us closer. One of us will pass.
It's sooner than you think.
Setting like the sun.
Where you can't come back again.
It's only in the hands.
It's only in the eyes.
To put you where you can't come back again.
And the piece is situated.
It leaps in my hands.
Each time I pull,
Each time I aim.
And we're gonna meet at high noon.
We're gonna dual tonight.
And it's all because :
I'd do it for sixty,
But you'd do it for free.
Why you would is a mystery.
So lets do it, do it and see.
I'd do it for sixty,
But you'd do it for free.
Why you would is a mystery.
So lets do it, do it and see.
The dust darkened sky.
Hands held so still.
We turn on one, and let it fly,
Let it fly straightly.
It's speeding home.
A bleeding badge.
On your lapel.
Stains the ground, stains the ground where you feel.
It's sooner than you think.
Setting like the sun.
Where you can't come back again.
It's only in the hands.
It's only in the eyes.
To put you where you can't come back again.
I'd do it for sixty,
But you'd do it for free.
Why you would is a mystery.
I made the field and the wall
And I will watch it grow.
Till towers crumble and fall
And waters no longer flow.
It's always now, and time can't be cheated.
Condemned to the past just to repeat it.
It's all too real as I stare at the ceiling.
One hand on the deck. One hand for the dealing.
This is the time, this is the place I'm seeking.
Made it here and I'm not leaving.
I need it, and call it, and want it again and,
For all, to know our days set.
These are the chords that set the whole scene reeling.
Broke the breaks when we all start stealing.
I need it, and call it, and want it, again and,
For all, to know our days set.
Close on the end and all that it's bringing.
Hold on to my head to block out the ringing.
It's all too late as the tick marks a feeling.
One for the deck and one for the dealing.
I made the field and the wall
And I will watch them die.
Till towers crumble and fall
And the sun drops from the sky.
It's all too real as I stare at the ceiling.
One hand on the deck. One hand for the dealing.
I need it, and call it, and want it, again and,
Forget all that you know.
It's all staged, all part of the show.
Give me something new.
Leave me black and blue.
Forget all that you know.
It's all staged, all part of the show.
Give me something new.
Leave me black and blue.
Regret all that you've seen.
Push buttons on a human machine.
Hurt me, it's been too long.
Get it, got it, gone.
Repress all that you feel.
Life's the cards and death is the deal.
Tell me what I need.
Cut me cause I can't bleed.
Return all that you take.
Make the screens go bright and then blank.
Save me, I want you to.
End this, end it, soon.
You wouldn't do it if you know what I mean.
Push buttons on a human machine.
You wouldn't say it if you see what I've seen.
A set stage where we all act free.
You wouldn't want it if you took what I take.
Stripped down we all look fake.
You wouldn't get it if you go where I've gone.
We are all switched on.
Let go of everything.
Cross the wires like the needles sting.
It's time to turn me on,
Till I come undone.
Stand back. Close your eyes.
See in numbers and speak in lies.
Try, tried everything but it's all been wrong.
Got, got all the circuits, but all the circuits are blown.
So now all the pieces, all the pieces fit.
Become the machine and the scales will tip.
Good god the feelings gone and it leaves me sick.
See I didn't used to, didn't used to tick.
And we stay when the roof caves in.
Innocent, I won't let you in.
You should go, or it all comes down.
We are all, we are all switched on.
And we stay when the roof caves in.
Innocent, I won't let you in.
You should go, or it all comes down.
I don't remember that we're all done.
Can't I be saved, saved from this truth.
The clock is rolling. I'm stuck between its hands.
Caught up in four, four cornered lives.
We're caught up in our four cornered lives.
We're caught up in our four cornered lives.
Slipping away,
And turning away,
And ticking away,
It's measured for you.
Slipping away,
And turning away,
And ticking away,
It's measured for you.
Slipping away and we can't realize it.
Turning away all our days spent idling.
Ticking away and I know the answers.
Slipping away we only live when we take chances.
Caught, caught up now.
The hands are near.
As minutes fell.
Get it for real.
We're caught up in our four cornered lives.
We're caught up in our four cornered lives.
No one cares for a sharp dressed man
For a hard-pressed man who's caving in. (x2)
Turn your back on the weight of the world
And regret what you did years ago
Waiting at the door for an hour
Look at you now
Turn your back on the weight of the world
Stay outside to keep from getting hurt
Always said it was for the best
But look at you now
Turn you back, turn your back once more
No one cares for a sharp dressed man
To the end
Careless
Confrontations
Why begin
You want this?
Come on
Prorated
Prolonged
Prophicized and picked clean
Overstated
Overblown
Over and done
Consecrated
Consumed
Consider all the other times
Situation
Succumb
Separates some
We are the pin hole
From which this river flows
A cursed shade of crimson
Spilt on distant shores
Hand slighted card from view
When all's been sighted i'm through
On the table is where we lay
Follow this protocol to perfection
It binds us to our faults, in preparation
And it's building up to fall and it's setting up to fail
Follow this protocol to disruption
Turn to the inside
Bow my head
Step back in line
We're all wasting our time
It's all the same
Form the start
And there is no point in fulfilling this function
And there is no will
Salvation
It doesn't stop there
The truth is this world's all wrong
And i'm set up to fail
A reason
To start this trade in
Of a system
What do you say to that
What can i say when actions won't do and this song is so true
Do you feel the same way too in regards to what you do
Set it aside
Turn to the inside
This new art
It doesn't seen to new
I want to set it aside
And try something new
Would you be my something key to turn it around so everyone can
Pay for soup
Build a fort
Set it on fire
All has been said
I can't shake this feeling it's all in vein
Time has short changed me again
I don't need to
And i can't see to
An inspiration
You got a shot at last
A chance to know for sure,
That things will never be
The way they were before.
And when it comes around
Try to run and hide.
When all the lost are found
We keep what we find.
[x2]
It's gonna take forever to run
It's gonna take forever to run back home.
Don't wait for me, all in time.
Don't wait for me, I'll be fine
It's gonna take forever.
You called off all the fights
And ran the race for me.
When all the lights go out
It's not that hard to see.
As all the walls come down
You got to choose your sides.
When all the lost are found,
We keep what we find.
[x2]
Don't wait for me, all in time.
Slow it down
The pace.
Half past perfect
Half past tense
I have
Trouble
With all the little things
The bigger ones, the worse it becomes
It's hard to hold anything when i
Can't begin to feel my hands i
Half past perfect
Half past tense
Fast asleep
Forever yours
Just makes it,
Just makes it,
Just makes it so.
You're better off without me, i won't lie
But you're what i need to get by, i need to get by
It's the only thing that been keeping me alive.
And that's what i need to get by, i need to get by.
Sitting here in the waiting room at my side
And that's what i need to get by, i need to get by.
I'm falling apart
Still falling apart
I'm falling apart
Still falling apart
You're better off without me, i won't lie
But that's what i need to get by, i need to get by
Sitting here in the waiting room at my side
But that's what i need to get by, i need to get by.
Leave me here, i won't fight.
Get out get out
It's what to pay
A chance to move for unleaded
Get out get out
Won't stake a claim
Or stand our ground for a minute
Started to awake
By a curve in the road
Forward when we brake
Our late eyes closed
Edging on the line
If we're lucky it holds
Worth getting fined
For time has stalled
Sucks you in... starts to stay... for all time
We speed as we sang
Make time turn the tires
And that's how it goes and that's how it goes
We speed from the night
With distances left
When it's only the road when it's only the road
We speed from status
A 9 to 5 world
And that's how it goes and that's how it goes
We speed as we can
Make our days long
All the times
All the ways
All the nights
All the days
All the highs
All the lows
All the kids
All alone
All of this comes to an end
As plague music starts to begin
No one lives
No one tries
No one walks
No one drives
No one feels
No one loves
N o one cares
No one should
All of this comes to an end
As plague music starts to begin
There's no one living on your radio, on your video, or on your T.V. Screen
The only songs are the ones i know, that played out long ago
All died of your disease
All the streets
All the homes
All the states
All the globe
All the rights
All the wrongs
All the hope
All is gone
All of this comes to an end
As plague music starts to begin
No one steals
No one eats
No one shouts
No one speaks
No one buys
No one sells
No one lies
No one tells
All of this comes to an end
There's no one living on your radio, on your video, or on your T.V. Screen
The only scenes are the ones i know, that got cut long ago
All died of your disease
I never thought i'd be the last one left
I never thought it would end like this
There's no one living on your radio, on your video, or on your T.V. Screen
The only stars are the ones i know, that burned out long ago
All died of your disease
On the interstate, my last ride
Change the lanes and don't look back
Blur the view ahead
Cross the lines
I can't be caught like this
Said you found out, but you're afraid of us
It's a raid now and you're a part of this bust
You said you found out that it's a raid now
See how it goes down when their alarm sounds
I know they're coming for you
I know they're coming for you
Lay the gun and bullets at my side
Take the money for it
I know they're coming for you
I know they're coming for you
Said you found out, but you're afraid of us
It's a raid now and you're a part of this bust
Cuffs are useless
This sounds so contagious
Your answers fall as red lips on the receiver of your telephone
When turning out means turning on
And dial tones lost for all too long
Orders placed and then withdrawn
All is just five minutes gone
Wires hold up all that's wrong
When it's just us and...
Time won't deal this penance
And try burn look away
Sign for small talk session
Found with nothing to say
It's no more right
Than it's the same
Silent tonight
Silent to...
Pass the sounds that pass all wrong
Until all interest stumbles down
Begin the pull of siren's song isn't that what drives us on
And your just here to tag along
Trail so far then left alone
Answers fall as red lips on the receiver of your telephone
God damn this pace
It's much too slow
It's much too old
It's nearly stalling
It's holding back
It's loosing ground
And giving way
It's tried not true
And can't pursue
We're loosing patience
When palms are read
And forced tongue said
Nothing's changed
Why should we waste this teenage land
Ex-president you've got to resign your throne
Your words won't die with me
Your words won't
Turning the tide in this round
Awaken to the last sound
Rumor has it talk of the town
You won't be missed
You won't be found
An audible narcotic
Sets these gears in motion
Your words won't die with me
Your words won't
When i decide what doesn't fly
That's when you lost your right
To pump this idea
This soulless thought nation wide
Telecast this dead air from a vantage hard to sight
The night seems shorter this tme of year
A long days end draws to a near
Say your not
Straining to hear
The trees they speak with every bending branch
And my heart slows to the beat of a clock
Draw the curtain
And pull back the blinds
A train in the distance doesn't stop at the day
Yet i close up to sleep
My mother graced yhe room and what she said was right
She said good evening she said good night
Reach over and turn off the light that sits on
I said that's not enough to keep me here all night
Do i say it cause we're all sin full
The farwell
Away now
This is all happening to fast
I see your hand waving goodbye
This is all happening to fast
I see your train taking you away
Your train departed on time
But it seems to early
Your train left minutes ago but it seems days and years have past me by
I should have run faster so i could hold your hand
I could have run faster
Tell me who,
Tell me when,
What's the worst that could happen?
Tell me why,
Tell me how,
What's the worst that could happen?
Could my fears catch the breeze
And drag me to sea?
Could my house catch fire?
I won't wake, i'm too tired.
If my feet burn off, should i still walk the walk?
Or will the world die laughing?
What's the worst that could happen.
Somebody wants to do me in.
Somebody's got my number.
Somebody has it out for me.
Somebody's got my number.
Tailing me everywhere
My car needs repairs.
Brakes went out last night.
Didn't make the red light.
Asleep at the wheel.
Awoke by the rail.
Through the windshield i'm crashing.
What's the worst that could happen.
Somebody wants to do me in.
Somebody's got my number.
Somebody has it out for me.
Somebody's got my number.
Tell me who it is
And what you saw.
It's not hard, letting go
I gave up long before, i lost it all the other day
The only way i'm, getting by is getting low
I'm unreliable
Is it still worth it [x4]
It never gets better than this (we come crashing)
Never better than this? (we come crashing down)
For as long as you live (we come crashing)
It never gets better than this.
Maybe i said too much
Maybe i pushed too far
Like seeing you wound up, i'm not gonna lie
And giving up is getting old
I'm not invincible
Is it still worth it [x4]
It never gets better than this (we come crashing)
Never better than this? (we come crashing down)
For as long as you live (we come crashing)
It never gets better than this.
Things couldn't get much worse
Good to know, good to know you
Than they are right now
Good to know, good to know you
[x2]
It never gets better than this (we come crashing)
Never better than this? (we come crashing down)
For as long as you live (we come crashing)
The life of the party
Just stained the sheets
The life of the party
With yellow teeth
The life of the party
Hasn't slept in a week
And it's starting to show.
No need to worry
I'm on board again
No need to worry.
Stay looking thin.
No need to worry.
Gave up on eating
And it's starting to show.
You're singing along, singing along, singing along.
And i'm not!
You're singing along, singing along, singing along.
I'm not!
[x2]
The life of the party
Is last to leave
The life of the party
Went down on three
The life of the party
Gave it out for free
And it's starting to show
You're singing along, singing along, singing along.
And i'm not!
You're singing along, singing along, singing along.
I'm not!
[x2]
Countdown to the cold war and we're at three
Countdown to the cold war and we're at two
Countdown to the cold war and we're all through
You're singing along, singing along, singing along.
And i'm not!
You're singing along, singing along, singing along.
I'm not!
[x2]
Watch as it starts to show
Watch as it starts to show
Watch as it starts to show
No, no, no
Tried to write a symphony
But i seemed to have forgotten the melody
Tried to have it all
Tried to conduct this orchestra
But the strings didn't work out quite right
Tried to have it all
The meter is all used up
And i don't know if i can ever leave this time
Long-hand letter
Lick the stamp that's sent to you
As fields afar fly by car windows
Springtime dreams of green
I've been led to believe
Been led to believe
We all can change
I have come to see
Have come to see
Everyone is tangled
Attached by strings that never stop
I ran myself into a knot
It's beautiful, it's beautiful, you know
Hung by a thread within the crowd
I want to know you but I don't know how
I am caught, I am tangled
God I'm tired of waking up, of waking up alone.
I've been led to believe
Been led to believe
We need our space
I have come to see
Have come to see
Everyone connected
How long can this keep up
Lost friends who never meant much
It's beautiful, It's beautiful, I know
God I'm tired of waking up, of waking up alone.
Lost the thread that leads me home.
I should have known we're tangled
A simple man
Just move from New York City
A simple life
Never made it
With iron sides
A black hat
And a mood that matches
A simple man
On the level
He placed a bet and lost it
Not one to pay so he cocked it
But missed the mark, his girl got hit
Didn't live through the night, that's when he lost it
That's when he lost it.
Keep moving, Keep moving on (x6)
There's hell to pay
Why not buy off the devil
No turning back
Keep moving on
On the day that the bank got held up
Two men, two guns and no luck
Never wrong when you're in the right
Bet black, see white
Keep moving, Keep moving on (x6)
(chorus)
No turning back
No holding on
Nothing to see
Keep moving on
Keep moving on
An empty heart's
An empty box
Far from me
But not my thoughts
Keep moving, Keep moving on (x6)
Sought a way out
See the suns final blow
Cause it's hard to describe yourself
Without biting your own teeth
So lay it out
Pray it is too hot outside
So we can stay awhile
And sing
And talk
And laugh
I thought i'd hold you to come around
I wanted you to stop lay it out
You said it sincere this time
Pray it's too hot outside
So we can stay a while
And sing
And talk
Don't let me sit aside
While you try and find out
If our sights are on the same thing
If these pages are turning
The preacher said it's hot as hell
Got the devil on his window sill, going down
His t-shirt read "the boys won't tell"
But if you want to watch there's a tape he'll sell, going round
So pray it's him, not me
There are saints that should be hung
Forget the cross whorship the gun
Bang bang
I hope your hell is hot enough
Forget the cross whorship the gun
You're at the gates and almost home
Bang bang
I hope your hell is hot enough
The preacher said i'm gonna fail with three days left til he posts bail, going down
So grab your shit no time to pack
At the end, no coming back to this town
You can see through lies
He's scared for his life
When am I gonna hear the new stuff, it better sound big.
One day you're gonna buy my lunch for this, From the other side.
I'd rather steal than foot the bill, I'd rather die
I'd rather steal than pay the bill, I'd rather lie
We stand like giants we are, we are the same size
I'd rather sleep than work this week, I'd rather die
We are like convicts we are, we do the same time.
Call the cops, there's a break in.
All my ideas someone's stolen.
Call the firemen, there's been a fire
All my life's work went up in smoke, so it seems
I stand by as it burns
And I look on as it goes up
No more time
It's not safe
No more time
It's not safe
Call the cops, there's a break in.
All my ideas someone's stolen.
When am I gonna hear the new stuff, it better sound big.
One day you're gonna buy my lunch for this, From the other side.
I'd rather cheat than earn my keep, I'd rather lie
We stand like giants we are, we are the same size
I'd rather crash than sink this fast, I'd rather die
We are like convicts we are, we do the same time.
Call the cops, there's a break in.
The port is full three knots pushes on
A light signifies the channel
On a night so still
You keep me in the right direction
We can't drift to far away
Three knots pushes on
Up north the sea swells
The clear sky now turns grey
You keep me in the right direction
We can't drift to far away
This path, it's unavoidable
Any faster and we'd crash
Time dictates our progression
Even if i think it's speed
A time for everything
A time for everyone
There's such a wind
And it's cold outside
To feel your skin
Is the only way out.
It's creeping in
And you can't stop all your limbs from slowing down
I can't move forward anymore
It's so much harder than i thought
When we start at the end
We all finish where we began.
And i need more than one time
Changing all of these wrongs
All of these wrongs to rights.
My tracks are gone
And there's birds overhead.
As clouds descend.
I can't tell what's the sky
And what's the ground
I can't move forward anymore
It's so much harder than i thought
Is there any getting past
When we start at the end
We all finish where we began.
And i need more than one time
Changing all of these wrongs
All of these wrongs to rights.
When we start at the end
We all finish where we began
And all our ceilings are skies
If we can outlast our lives, our lives
When we start at the end
Now stop the goddamn press
And hold the fucking phone.
Why cause the word is out
And you're gonna want to know.
It's getting hard to hear.
If it's become an act.
Is what you're playing music?
Or are you writing ads?
Just pull the goddamn plug
And kill that burnt out song.
Why? Cause it's hardly an art.
And I won't sing along.
You play it but it still sounds the same.
Turn it off, turn it off
You live it but it's only an act.
Turn it off, turn it off
Now... turn it off!
Now... turn it off!
(chorus)
I can't wait for the day to come
When we turn it off cause it's played too long.
I can't wait for your song to end
It's been on all day and
It's gonna play again.
You sing it like you're selling me something
Turn it off, turn it off
You wrote it but you know it's a lie
Turn it off, turn it off
Now... Turn it off!
Now... Turn it off!
(chorus ×2)
It's getting hard to hear.
If it's become an act.
Is what you're playing music?
Or are you writing ads?
The chances are you've had enough
The feelings come from giving up
We see you paring
everyday
The chances are on your
And the feelings alright
Were burning you
Turn on turned on
Hold on everything
Attach the cord to go
Hard to let it go when its on
Don't turn the key just yet
Im getting tired now
hard to stay awake when its on
Cause everyday is second best
Watching more its such a mess
Further bent and further blown
And everyday blends with the last
Routine check-ups manifest
All my time in all my will
Take the time, for us to save mine
Until its all, gone back and layed to rest
I lift away
Your over lovely and its nothing to me -x2
then why don't we stay then why don't we go
My guess is cause Were sentimental
You sit on the ice with no where to turn
i can't help but think were gonna burn -x2
just play around
your strung enough
it does my job
you kiss my lips
this sending
its good to all
its peace to watter
you with the shark
close the door
the kitchen knives
Are quiet now. my boddy numb
The chances are you've had enough
The feelings come from giving up
We see you paring
Everyday
Hold on everything
Attach the cord to go
Hard to let it go when its so
Everyday is second best
Watching more its such a mess
Further bent and further blown
And everyday blends with the last
Routine check-ups manifest
All my time in all my will
then why don't we stay
then why don't we go
my guess is cause
were sentimental
we sit on the ice
with no where to turn
The blackest hair, her lips and her skin so pale
Push back the chair, and go introduce myself
She can't play fair, and i'm in no hurry to fail
Her hand in mine, but she's the one leading
We're quite the pair, despite the fact that i'm lost
And i don't care she hates the sun and the cross
Go anywhere ware i'd follow no matter the cost
To be with her for just one more evening
Why, she's scared of the lights
Please, she hates all your gods
But, she's the one
Cause she wants it all and let her have it
It's too late for me
Start begging mercy
Now that you've got it all
It's time that i pay the price but she only makes love to the darkest nights
The streets are dark, but ever since the sun's gone down
I hear you walk, your steps follow me around
Deep in the park, is where my dead body is found
Her finger prints are all over the scene
If walls could talk they'd tell a story tonight
She stole my heart and drank 'til the skin turned white
Breathe this insecticide
A present with no sender
Silent
Awaken a pro-efficiient, self-efficient right
So fast that it can't duplicate
Notice these fluctuations in your daily philosophy
Cause your equation's not complete
Can you feel it stab
Your last best side
Awaken a pro-efficient, self-efficient right
That seems lost within your guise
So fast that it can't duplicate
Your equation's not complete
One hunred and seventy-five degrees
Tell me how it feels
I want to know how it feels
dim the lights.
no, don't talk.
brass mirrors on my wall.
all the sheets are on the floor,
and i wonder how it feels at the end.
telling lies, making sin.
ending up more than friends.
all while we dent the walls and bend the frames.
always wet but hardly clean.
never sleep, you'd do the same.
lock the doors and pull the shades.
in the dark or bright as day.
at your home or on the way.
standing up or we can lay.
lock the doors and pull the shades.
golden tan, head to feet.
in your car on the street.
place to park.
push back the seat.
all while we dent the walls and bend the frames.
always we but hardly clean.
never sleep, you'd do the same.
lock the doors and pull the shades.
in teh dark or bright as day.
at your home or on the way.
standing up or we can lay.
