Lars Hansen (basketball)
Lars Erik Hansen (born September 27, 1954) is a retired Canadian professional National Basketball Association player.
Born in Copenhagen, Denmark, Hansen grew up in Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada, where he was a basketball star at Centennial Secondary School. He would go onto play his college basketball at the University of Washington in the United States. Hansen was selected in two NBA Drafts: first in 1976, by the Chicago Bulls, and then in 1977, by the Los Angeles Lakers.
In 1979, Hansen made his NBA debut with the Seattle SuperSonics.
In 1981 Hansen was named Player of the Year and scoring champion of the FIBA First Division Spanish League. He also played with FC Barcelona.
