News to Political Prisoners Print Project

Hey,

I'm wondering if your group would be interested in collaborating on a
print project to get current events and news information to political
prisoners?

The idea is to print news about social struggle on a monthly basis and
send it to all currently held political prisoners (PP's) in the US and
other prisoners. PP's can write to and respond to articles to be included
in the following issues. This print project could help keep PPs informed
and in the loop on the social struggle outside prison, news about other
PPs and get more PP's ideas and opinions into a wider dialogue. It is also
an opportunity for collaboration among supporters of PPs.

I did a basic layout for the Break the Chains Journal as an example of
what this could look like.

Please take a look. Please give feedback to move this project forward.

Thanks.

Break the Chains Journal April 2011

Break the Chains is a news and discussion forum for supporters of political prisoners, prisoners of war, politicized social prisoners, and victims of police and state intimidation.

This free academic journal is organized and updated autonomously of the disbanded Break the Chains Prisoner Support Network formerly based in Eugene, Oregon. While this collection of articles shares several of the same concerns as the old Break the Chains collective, no formal organization exists behind this publication.

The purpose of this publication is to share news and current events with prisoners. Information within this document comes from a variety of sources posted to the Break the Chains website. Please help print this out and send it to a prisoner.
