Building Services Manager

This established and award winning builder have gone from strength to strength over the last quarter of a century and they are now one of the most well regarded building across NSW and QLD.

They have seen a consistent level of growth and as a consequence they have created a new strategic position and are looking to appoint a dynamic Building Services Manager.

The position will be based in Sydney but the successful candidate will be required to take an active role in the larger and more services intensive projects secured in QLD.

Ideally, you will have extensive experience of working for a first or second tier contractor and be able to demonstrate the successful delivery of the following new build project types: Health Care, Industrial, Accommodation, Aged Care, Commercial and Education.

Project range in value between $20-50m.
 

This position will report into the Construction Directors in both NSW and QLD and you will be required to take the lead in all matters pertaining to building services.

You will be involved throughout the project lifecycle from the tender process, value added design, management of contractors through to commissioning and handover.

This positions development will run parallel with the client's growth with the medium term objective being a National Building Services Managers position and you will have direct reports (Services Engineers) working under you.

Key Responsibilities will include:

• Management and liaison with client and appointed design consultancies
• Procurement of specialist sub contract packages (MEP) 
• Coordination of all specialist sub contract packages (MEP) 
• Management of delivery of all sub contract packages to specification and within budgetary constraints 
• Financial and contractual management 
• Management and adherence to OH+S
• Management of the commissioning process and adherence to relevant compliance (Green Star, NABERS ect)
