Photo credit: Waleed Masood (Egypt) Review: Abdel Rahman El Gamal Hamata is the most southerly diving resort in Egypt's Red Sea; situated about 180 km south of Marsa Alam, and about 360km south of Hurghada. Recently, Hamata is quickly becoming one of the southern Red Sea's finest attractions. The mangroves attract a wide variety of birds all year round, with many more passing by during migration times. Hamata is one of the best dive sites in the Red Sea. Similarly, Hamata could be one of the best fishing locations in the Red Sea region. Along with the great coral life there is the chance to see a variety of marine life including Barracuda, Dolphins, Turtles, Napoleon Wrasse, Reef Sharks, Stingrays, Moray Eels, Pipefish and even the occasional passing Whale Shark or Manta Ray. This video shows the use of long line fishery for catching barracuda- published: 07 Sep 2013

Follsjøen 27. Sept. 2010
Tourist maps sometimes mark some routes with green color, implying beautiful scenery. One such area is Follsjøen, right outside Notodden in Telemark, used for recreation, fishing, swimming. And my canoe is placed there all season.

Osbourne's Day Out: North Rock Tank to North Rock
Official Entry in the Bermuda International Film Festival 2013.
Osbourne the dusky shark has lived in the North Rock tank at the Bermuda Aquarium for six years. After having outgrown the tank and regularly sparring with a giant grouper named Vader, it was decided that for his, aquarium staff and the other tank inhabitants’ own safety he should be returned to the sea.
But can a shark be returned back to the wild and survive after living for 6 years in captivity? Dusky sharks are considered “vulnerable” in the Atlantic and “near-threatened” around the world because of commercial and recreational fishing. What are Osbourne’s chances of making it in the wild? And does this heighten public fears about sharks in local Bermuda waters?

Reel Women Barra Classic
The Reel Women Barra Classic was established in 2002 by keen female angler Emma Cartwright who thought it would be a great opportunity to involve other women in recreational fishing. The female friendly fishing Classic is now in its twelfth year and attracts hundreds of women from not only the Northern Territory, but right across Australia.
Reel Women Fishing Classics are designed for everyone. Whether you are a novice angler or highly talented with a rod and reel, the Reel Women Barra Classic is designed to meet your needs.
A team consists of a minimum of two anglers and a maximum of four anglers. You can enter with a male skipper to help you get to where the fish are or if you are confident in your boating and fishing skills you can enter as an all women independent team. There is an overall Champion Team but we also recognise the efforts of the ladies that have developed their fishing and boating skills to fish independently and have an award for the Champion Independent Team.
New teams are always welcome to participate. If you are keen to fish but do not have a boat, we can help you find a skipper with a boat if need be. The Reel Women Barra Classic is not just about fishing. Bring your tackle box, rod and reel but do not forget your sense of humour. We know how to have a good time. Just remember – Wombats are a protected species.
If you would like to enter a team in the 2013 Reel Women Barra Classic, or you have questions, we are more than happy to help and you can email info@reelwomen.com.au
