Randy C. Hoback (born December 19, 1967) in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan is a Canadian politician, who was elected to represent the electoral district of Prince Albert in the 2008 Canadian federal election. He is a member of the Conservative Party.

Hoback has a business administration certificate from the University of Saskatchewan and Chartered Director's designation from McMaster University and the Conference Board of Canada. Hoback worked for farm machinery manufacturer Flexicoil and later Case New Holland from 1986 to 2000, when he purchased the family farm in 2000. He subsequently expanded the farm to 3,300 acres (13 km²) as well as developing custom spraying and trucking business. He was nominated for the Saskatchewan Outstanding Young Farmer Award in 2005.

Hoback served Chairman of the Western Canadian Wheat Growers Association (WCWGA), and represented them at World Trade Organization meetings in Geneva and Hong Kong.

As an MP, Hoback is a member of the Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs and Standing Committee on Agriculture and Agri-food.

Erin Weir is an economist with the United Steelworkers union's Canadian National Office. Weir is a frequent guest on the Business News Network and other TV channels. He is also the President of the Progressive Economics Forum., an organization of 125 progressive economists who comment on matters of public policy. In the 2004 federal election, Weir was the NDP candidate in the riding of Wascana, challenging then liberal Finance Minister Ralph Goodale.

Weir was born in Saskatoon and grew up in Regina, Saskatchewan. His commitment and dedication to his studies led to many honours including becoming the first Saskatchewan high school student to earn a berth in the finals of the Great Canadian Geography Challenge. He attended the University of Regina from 1999 to 2002 where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Great Distinction) in Economics, History and Political Science. Weir also has a Master of Arts in History from the University of Calgary and a Master's in Public Administration from Queen's University.
