An affluent district of leafy residential streets, St John’s Wood is known for Lord’s Cricket Ground, the headquarters of English cricket and a venue for domestic and international matches. The Beatles made many recordings at Abbey Road Studios and fans use the crosswalk outside to recreate the iconic album cover for photo ops. Boutique stores and chic eateries dot St John’s Wood High Street. ― Google
We start our walk from St Johns Wood Church, and head north, walking past the main parade of shops. We will visit the underground station,and then head towards the famous Abbey Road Zebra crossing and Studios. And then heading back towards St. John’s Wood Gardens and the World famous Lords Cricket ground. We finish our tour with a compilation of clips showcasing the beautiful houses around St. John’s Wood.

St John's Wood is a district of north-west London, in the City of Westminster, and on the north-west side of Regent's Park. It is about 2.5 miles (4 km) north-west of Charing Cross. Once part of the Great Middlesex Forest, it was later owned by the Knights of St John of Jerusalem.
It is a very affluent neighbourhood, with the area postcode (NW8) ranked by Forbes magazine as the 5th most expensive postcode in London based on the average home price in 2007. According to a 2014 property agent survey, St. John's Wood residents pay the highest average rent in all of London.
In 2013, the price of housing in St John's Wood reached exceptional levels. Avenue Road had more than 10 large mansions/villas for sale. The most expensive had an asking price of £65 million, with the cheapest at £15 million. The remainder were around £25 million.
History
St John's Wood was developed from the early 19th century onwards. It was one of the first London suburbs to be developed with a large amount of low density "villa" housing, as opposed to the terraced housing which was the norm in London up to the 19th century, even in expensive districts. Parts of St John's Wood have been rebuilt at a higher density, but it remains a highly desirable residential district, and one of the most expensive areas of London.

St. Johns (provincial electoral district)
St. Johns is a provincial electoral division in the Canadian province of Manitoba. It was created by redistribution in 1957, and has formally existed since 1958. It is located in the north-end of Winnipeg. The constituency is bordered by Kildonan to the north and west, Burrows to the west, Elmwood to the east, and Point Douglas to the south.
The riding's population in 1996 was 20,023. The average family income in 1999 was $40,443, with an unemployment rate of 10.90%. Over 35% of the riding's residents are categorized as low-income.
St. Johns has a diverse population. Ten per cent of the riding's residents listed Ukrainian as their ethnic origin in 1999, with a further 6% Polish and 5% Jewish. Twelve per cent of the riding's residents are aboriginal. Manufacturing jobs accounted for 18% of the riding's industry, with a further 15% in services.
Since its creation, St. Johns has been represented by members of the Manitoba Co-operative Commonwealth Federation (CCF) and its successor, the New Democratic Party (NDP). It is considered safe for the party. The current MLA is Gord Mackintosh, who was re-elected with over 72% of the vote in the provincial election of 2003.

St John's railway station
St John's Railway Station was on the Isle of Man Railway (IMR), later merging with the nearby station of the Manx Northern Railway (MNR); it was the junction of lines to Foxdale, Peel and Ramsey. It is close to Tynwald Hill.
Origins
The station began life in 1873 as the penultimate stop on the Peel Line, the island's first passenger railway line; it consisted of a simple wooden waiting shelter with accommodation for the station master, and a passing loop. This layout remained until the arrival of the new line from the north in 1879 when a second station was established, later merging with the existing one.
Significance
The station was the hub of the island's railway network, where the lines to Douglas, Peel, Ramsey and Foxdale met. There have been three stations within the area (see below) but only the original 1873 station serving the Peel Line remained in use until the closure of this part of the network, with the Foxdale line station remaining in a derelict condition until the closure of the network. The station gained the name The Manx Crewe owing to the amount of traffic, being said to equal the hub of the London, Midland and Scottish Railway.

We start our walk from St Johns Wood Church, and head north, walking past the main parade of shops. We will visit the underground station,and then head towards the famous Abbey Road Zebra crossing and Studios. And then heading back towards St. John’s Wood Gardens and the World famous Lords Cricket ground. We finish our tour with a compilation of clips showcasing the beautiful houses around St. John’s Wood.

This is a quick video of our walk through the port of St. John's, Antigua. We were on a 7 day Southern Caribbean cruise on Royal Caribbean's Adventure of the Seas. Antigua is a beautiful island. In this video we walk up to St. John's Cathedral also known as the St. John the Divine, the Cathedral Church of the Diocese of North Eastern Caribbean and Aruba. It is an Anglican church perched on a hilltop in St. John's, Antigua and Barbuda. The present cathedral with its imposing white twin towers was built on a fossilized reef, in 1845, and is now in its third incarnation, as earthquakes in 1683 and in 1745 destroyed the previous structures. Shaye Saint John is one of the most notorious characters on the internet. Shaye Saint John became popular on Youtube after a video called 'Hand Thing' went viral. On first appearence Shay Saint John is absolute nightmare fuel, the work of late demented artist Eric Fournier, there is more to Shaye Saint John than her Youtube page. There is in fact an entire weird website devoted to Shaye. This video explores the shay st john website and looks through all of shaye saint johns creepy videos, pictures and jobberish blog style posts. It gets very creepy to say the least. This is a quick video of our walk through the port of St. John's, Antigua. We were on a 7 day Southern Caribbean cruise on Royal Caribbean's Adventure of the Seas. Antigua is a beautiful island. In this video we walk up to St. John's Cathedral also known as the St. John the Divine, the Cathedral Church of the Diocese of North Eastern Caribbean and Aruba. It is an Anglican church perched on a hilltop in St. John's, Antigua and Barbuda. The present cathedral with its imposing white twin towers was built on a fossilized reef, in 1845, and is now in its third incarnation, as earthquakes in 1683 and in 1745 destroyed the previous structures. The iron gates on the south face of the church are flanked by pillars displaying lead Biblical figures of St John the Divine and St John the Baptist. They were taken by HMS Temple in 1756, from a French ship destined for Martinique.
Antigua is one of the 2 major islands that make up the Caribbean nation of Antigua and Barbuda. Ringed with coral reefs, the island is known for its many sandy beaches. Set along English Harbour, restored Nelson’s Dockyard, which Admiral Horatio Nelson made his base in the 1780s, includes a marina and the Dockyard Museum. Trails lead up to Shirley Heights, a former military lookout with panoramic views.

Newfoundland and Labrador cancels in-person voting for provincial election
Newfoundland and Labrador election officials have cancelled in-person voting a day before polling stations were set to open, in response to an alarming rise in coronavirus cases in the province. Elections Newfoundland and Labrador said Friday evening that the provincial election will now shift entirely to mail-in voting, with ballots being accepted until March 1. Chief medical health officer Dr. Janice Fitzgerald said Friday the B.1.1.7. variant of the virus, which was first discovered in the United Kingdom, is behind the sudden spike in infections and accounts for all 248 new cases reported over the past seven days. Newfoundland and Labrador election officials have cancelled in-person voting a day before polling stations were set to open, in response to an alarming rise in coronavirus cases in the province.
Elections Newfoundland and Labrador said Friday evening that the provincial election will now shift entirely to mail-in voting, with ballots being accepted until March 1.
Chief medical health officer Dr. Janice Fitzgerald said Friday the B.1.1.7. variant of the virus, which was first discovered in the United Kingdom, is behind the sudden spike in infections and accounts for all 248 new cases reported over the past seven days.

We celebrate Asian Heritage Month 2021 with Commander (Retired) King R. Wan as our next speaker. He is a true leader who has made a significant impact in our community.
For over 25 years, Cmdr. Wan has worked hard to shed light on the Chinese-Canadian community's past. He endeavours to educate the public on the discrimination his community has endured, as well as the growth it has experienced. For his efforts, Cmdr. Wan was awarded the Sovereign's Medal for Volunteers in 2016.
After 5 years as a sea cadet, Cmdr. Wan served over 35 years in the Naval Reserves before retiring from the Royal Canadian Navy (#RCN). During his time in the Canadian Armed Forces, he graduated from the Reserve Officer University Training Plan (ROUTP) program, obtained his Upper Deck Bridge Watch Keeping certificate, graduated from the command & staff courses, completed the National Securities Program at the Canadian Forces College, and served in various operational and administrative roles afloat and ashore, both domestically and overseas with NATO, and he commanded HMCS DISCOVERY. Prior to his retirement from the RCN in the rank of Commander, he served as the Regional Liaison Officer for the Pacific and North as a military liaison officer between the business community and the Canadian Armed Forces.
In his civilian career, he is Manager of Internal Audit Projects and works in the City Manager’s office in Vancouver. His work experience includes risk management, process improvement advisory, financial accounting, controllership and auditing.
Cmdr. Wan also volunteers in many community organizations. This includes service in many leadership roles:
- President and Board Member of the Naval Officers' Association of BC (previously President 2011-2013)
- Provincial Commissioner of St. John Ambulance BC/Yukon Brigade (2008-2012)
- Board Governor and Vice-Chair of Pacific Marine Training Institute (now BCIT Marine Training campus)
- Board governor and Vice-Chair of the Corps of Commissionaires BC
- Director on the BC - Canadian Force Liaison Council
- Chair of the Metro Vancouver Naval Monument Society
- President of the ANAVETS of Canada Pacific Unit 280
- Advisor to the Vancouver Canadian Club
- Board Member of the Naval Association of Canada.
- Former Director on the St. John Council for BC/Yukon
- Former Commodore of Canadian Forces Sailing Association - Vancouver Squadron
- Former President of the Chinese Canadian Military Museum Society (2012-2021)
Cmdr. Wan also Chaired the Metro-Vancouver Canadian Naval Centennial Commemorative Committee that brought the Royal Marine Band from Portsmouth, US Marine Corps Band from Hawaii, and the Royal Canadian NADEN Band, plus many local bands to perform two Tattoos held at the PNE.
He has a Commerce degree from UBC; a MBA from Edinburg Business School; is a member of the Certified Management Accountant Association (now Certified Professional Accountants); a Certified Internal Auditor; and has a certificate in Risk Management Assurance.
Cmdr. Wan is also a member of the Vancouver cadre of Honorary Aides-de-Camp to the Lieutenant-Governor of British Columbia since 1989.

The Beatles made many recordings at Abbey Road Studios and fans use the crosswalk outside to recreate the iconic album cover for photo ops. Coordinates: 51°32′10″N 0°10′30″W / 51.5361°N 0.1751°W / 51.5361; -0.1751
St John's Wood is a district of north-west London, in the City of Westminster, and on the north-west side of Regent's Park. It is about 2.5 miles (4 km) north-west of Charing Cross. Once part of the Great Middlesex Forest, it was later owned by the Knights of St John of Jerusalem.
It is a very affluent neighbourhood, with the area postcode (NW8) ranked by Forbes magazine as the 5th most expensive postcode in London based on the average home price in 2007. According to a 2014 property agent survey, St. John's Wood residents pay the highest average rent in all of London.
In 2013, the price of housing in St John's Wood reached exceptional levels. Avenue Road had more than 10 large mansions/villas for sale. The most expensive had an asking price of £65 million, with the cheapest at £15 million. The remainder were around £25 million.
History
St John's Wood was developed from the early 19th century onwards. It was one of the first London suburbs to be developed with a large amount of low density "villa" housing, as opposed to the terraced housing which was the norm in London up to the 19th century, even in expensive districts. Parts of St John's Wood have been rebuilt at a higher density, but it remains a highly desirable residential district, and one of the most expensive areas of London.

This is a quick video of our walk through the port of St. John's, Antigua. We were on a 7 day Southern Caribbean cruise on Royal Caribbean's Adventure of the Seas. Antigua is a beautiful island. In this video we walk up to St. John's Cathedral also known as the St. John the Divine, the Cathedral Church of the Diocese of North Eastern Caribbean and Aruba. It is an Anglican church perched on a hilltop in St. John's, Antigua and Barbuda. The present cathedral with its imposing white twin towers was built on a fossilized reef, in 1845, and is now in its third incarnation, as earthquakes in 1683 and in 1745 destroyed the previous structures. The iron gates on the south face of the church are flanked by pillars displaying lead Biblical figures of St John the Divine and St John the Baptist. They were taken by HMS Temple in 1756, from a French ship destined for Martinique.
Antigua is one of the 2 major islands that make up the Caribbean nation of Antigua and Barbuda. Ringed with coral reefs, the island is known for its many sandy beaches. Set along English Harbour, restored Nelson’s Dockyard, which Admiral Horatio Nelson made his base in the 1780s, includes a marina and the Dockyard Museum. Trails lead up to Shirley Heights, a former military lookout with panoramic views.

Hometown tour of St. John’s, Newfoundland! I’ll be showing you the house I grew up in, schools I attended and where I used to work before I packed up and moved to Toronto.
The most easterly province in Canada and the most easterly place in all of North America. There are lots of things to see and do in St. John’s and the rest of the province. I just covered a few places that are relevant in my life. If you love the outdoors, drinking or the ocean this is a place I highly recommend you check out. It is so incredibly unique, like no where else in the world. If you visit, go in August or September. Go at your own risk in the winter hahaha.

On first appearence Shay Saint John is absolute nightmare fuel, the work of late demented artist Eric Fournier, there is more to Shaye Saint John than her Youtube page. There is in fact an entire weird website devoted to Shaye. Newfoundland and Labrador election officials have cancelled in-person voting a day before polling stations were set to open, in response to an alarming rise in coronavirus cases in the province.
Elections Newfoundland and Labrador said Friday evening that the provincial election will now shift entirely to mail-in voting, with ballots being accepted until March 1.
Chief medical health officer Dr. Janice Fitzgerald said Friday the B.1.1.7. variant of the virus, which was first discovered in the United Kingdom, is behind the sudden spike in infections and accounts for all 248 new cases reported over the past seven days.

For over 25 years, Cmdr. Wan has worked hard to shed light on the Chinese-Canadian community's past. He endeavours to educate the public on the discrimination his community has endured, as well as the growth it has experienced. For his efforts, Cmdr. Wan was awarded the Sovereign's Medal for Volunteers in 2016.
After 5 years as a sea cadet, Cmdr. Wan served over 35 years in the Naval Reserves before retiring from the Royal Canadian Navy (#RCN). During his time in the Canadian Armed Forces, he graduated from the Reserve Officer University Training Plan (ROUTP) program, obtained his Upper Deck Bridge Watch Keeping certificate, graduated from the command & staff courses, completed the National Securities Program at the Canadian Forces College, and served in various operational and administrative roles afloat and ashore, both domestically and overseas with NATO, and he commanded HMCS DISCOVERY. Prior to his retirement from the RCN in the rank of Commander, he served as the Regional Liaison Officer for the Pacific and North as a military liaison officer between the business community and the Canadian Armed Forces.
In his civilian career, he is Manager of Internal Audit Projects and works in the City Manager’s office in Vancouver. His work experience includes risk management, process improvement advisory, financial accounting, controllership and auditing.
Cmdr. Wan also volunteers in many community organizations. This includes service in many leadership roles:
- President and Board Member of the Naval Officers' Association of BC (previously President 2011-2013)
- Provincial Commissioner of St. John Ambulance BC/Yukon Brigade (2008-2012)
- Board Governor and Vice-Chair of Pacific Marine Training Institute (now BCIT Marine Training campus)
- Board governor and Vice-Chair of the Corps of Commissionaires BC
- Director on the BC - Canadian Force Liaison Council
- Chair of the Metro Vancouver Naval Monument Society
- President of the ANAVETS of Canada Pacific Unit 280
- Advisor to the Vancouver Canadian Club
- Board Member of the Naval Association of Canada.
- Former Director on the St. John Council for BC/Yukon
- Former Commodore of Canadian Forces Sailing Association - Vancouver Squadron
- Former President of the Chinese Canadian Military Museum Society (2012-2021)
Cmdr. Wan also Chaired the Metro-Vancouver Canadian Naval Centennial Commemorative Committee that brought the Royal Marine Band from Portsmouth, US Marine Corps Band from Hawaii, and the Royal Canadian NADEN Band, plus many local bands to perform two Tattoos held at the PNE.
He has a Commerce degree from UBC; a MBA from Edinburg Business School; is a member of the Certified Management Accountant Association (now Certified Professional Accountants); a Certified Internal Auditor; and has a certificate in Risk Management Assurance.
Cmdr. Wan is also a member of the Vancouver cadre of Honorary Aides-de-Camp to the Lieutenant-Governor of British Columbia since 1989.
