Lecture 1 . Enumerative Combinatorics (Federico Ardila)
Much of enumerative combinatorics concerns the question: "Count the number a_n of elements of a set S_n for n=1,2,..." We discuss four types of answers: an exact formula, a recursive formula, a formula for the generating function, and an asymptotic formula. We illustrate these four answers by counting the domino tilings of a 2 x n rectangle.

Apparel Combinatorics
The objective of this plug-in is to interface with Adobe Illustrator, automatically generate all possible color and pattern variations from a Swatches Panel and apply those variations to the different elements of the shoes, apparel and/or textile.
The 1st group of 5 swatches are the default colors which are assigned to different parts of the shoe. The 2nd group are the new colors. The plug-in takes the second group and steps through all possible combinations, applying them to the shoes and saving each variation as it proceeds. E.g., the first set of colors might be 1,2,3,4,5, the next 1,2,3,4,6, etc. The files can be saved as AI, PDF, PNG or JPGs and saved locally or on a server.

Combinatorics c: Binomial theorem
(C) 2012-2013 David Liao (lookatphysics.com)
The formula for counting combinations from the previous video helps us to write an expression for the binomial quantity (x + y)^p. The resulting sum can contain many terms. However, in some applications, only a small number of terms is necessary for approximate calculations.
