Carl Froch (born on 2 July 1977) is a British professional boxer and the current IBF Super Middleweight Champion and former two-time WBC Super Middleweight Champion. He has also held the British, Commonwealth and English titles at super middleweight.

Froch began boxing at his home in Colwick, Nottingham at 9 years old. He later joined the Phoenix ABC in Gedling, near Nottingham. As an amateur, he won two ABA Middleweight titles in 1999 and 2001 and a bronze medal at the 2001 World Amateur Boxing Championships before turning pro and having his first pro fight in March 2002. As an amateur, Froch lost to American Peter Manfredo Jr. in a 4th round technical knock out.

During his amateur career, he lost a fight to Denis Inkin, who he was scheduled to fight in a title eliminator in 2008, but Inkin pulled out on three occasions.^{[citation needed]}

Froch has had 31 professional fights, with 21 knockout and 8 decision victories, suffering defeat only twice.

Froch is trained by Robert McCracken and managed by Barry Hearn.

V. George was an Indian politician and former Member of the Legislative Assembly. He was elected to the Tamil Nadu legislative assembly as an Indian National Congress candidate from Padmanabhapuram constituency in Kanyakumari district in 1967 election.

Lucian Bute (born February 28, 1980) is a Romanian-Canadian professional boxer fighting out of Montreal, Canada. Bute is a former IBF Super Middleweight Champion. BoxRec has previously ranked him as the 9th pound for pound best boxer in the world and number 2 at super middleweight in 2012, after Andre Ward.

Lucian Bute was born on February 28, 1980 in Pechea, Galaţi County, Romania.

He also holds Canadian citizenship, gained in 2012.

As an amateur, Bute won the bronze medal at the 1999 World Amateur Boxing Championships in Houston, Texas and the Gold Medal at the 2001 Francophone Games. Bute also represented Romania at the 2003 World Amateur Boxing Championships in Bangkok, Thailand as a middleweight.

Lucian Bute turned pro in 2000. He is still trained by Stéphan Larouche, who also trained former world champions Éric Lucas and Leonard Doroftei.

On June 15, 2007, Bute faced super middleweight contender and former Olympian Sakio Bika at the Bell Centre in Montreal in an elimination bout for the IBF title. Bute beat Bika by unanimous decision (116-111, 118-109, 118-109) and, as a result, he got his shot at the IBF Super Middleweight Champion Alejandro Berrio on October 19, 2007. Bute beat Berrio via TKO in the 11th round. With this victory, Bute became the third Romanian professional boxing world champion after Leonard Doroftei and Mihai Leu.

Ezekiel Brinsly Reid, better known as Kell Brook, born 3 May 1986 is an English professional boxer from Sheffield who fights in the welterweight division. He is a former holder of the British welterweight title and the WBO Inter-continental title at the same weight and presently holds the WBA version of the inter-continental title. In 2009 he was voted Britain's young boxer of the year by the Boxing Writer's club. Brook is also well known to be a huge fan of Sheffield United.

Brook's first fight as a professional took place in September 2004 with a 6 round points victory over experienced journeyman Peter Buckley at the Don Valley Stadium in Sheffield. He would fight again four more times that year to end 2004 with a record of 5-0 in just four months. Brook went about learning his trade against a host of journeymen before getting the opportunity in June 2008 to fight for the British title having compiled a winning record of 16-0.

The championship fight at London's York Hall saw Kell Brook take on Welshman Barrie Jones for the vacant crown. The fight was not without controversy however as the previous incumbent, Kevin McIntyre, had been stripped of the title after he sustained an injury and had to pull out of his scheduled defence against the Yorkshireman. Brook ended up winning the vacant belt with a 7th round stoppage of Jones who had come in at relatively short notice.

Jermain Taylor (born August 11, 1978 in Little Rock, Arkansas) is an American professional boxer and former Undisputed Middleweight Champion. He made his professional boxing debut in 2001 and won his first 25 bouts, which included victories over former champions Raúl Márquez and William Joppy. On July 16, 2005, Taylor defeated Bernard Hopkins to win the Undisputed Middleweight Championship, claiming The Ring Middleweight Championship and all the middleweight titles from the four major boxing organizations.

Taylor, who began boxing at age 13, earned numerous accolades throughout his amateur career, starting with his achievement of the 1996 Under-19 Championship. He went on to win a pair of Police Athletic League (PAL) Championships and National Golden Gloves titles and he finished second and third at the 1997 and 1998 United States Championships, respectively. In 1998, Taylor won a bronze medal at the Goodwill Games. Then, in 2000, he earned a spot on the Olympic Boxing Team, becoming the first boxer from Arkansas ever to compete in the Olympic Games. Competing at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, Australia, Taylor ended up winning the bronze medal.
