The Lotus 25 was a racing car designed by Colin Chapman for the 1962 Formula One season. It was a revolutionary design, the first fully stressed monocoque chassis to appear in F1. In the hands of Jim Clark it took 14 World Championship Grand Prix wins and propelled him to his 1963 World Championship title. Its last World Championship win was at the 1965 French Grand Prix.
An early brainchild of Chapman's fertile mind, the original sketches for the car were made on napkins while Chapman discussed his idea while dining out with Frank Costin (designer of Vanwall, Lotus Mk.8, 9, 10, 11 and Lotus 16 bodies, later of Marcos fame).
Lotus may refer to:
James Clark, Jr OBE (4 March 1936 – 7 April 1968), known as Jim Clark, was a British Formula One racing driver from Scotland, who won two World Championships, in 1963 and 1965.
Clark was a versatile driver who competed in sports cars, touring cars and in the Indianapolis 500, which he won in 1965. He was particularly associated with the Lotus marque.
He was killed in a Formula Two motor racing accident in Hockenheim, Germany in 1968. At the time of his death, he had won more Grand Prix races (25) and achieved more Grand Prix pole positions (33) than any other driver. In 2009, The Times placed Clark at the top of a list of the greatest-ever Formula One drivers.
James Clark Jr was born into a farming family at Kilmany House Farm, Fife, the youngest child of five, and the only boy. In 1942 the family moved to Edington Mains Farm, near Duns, Berwickshire, in the Borders. He was educated at primary schools, first in Kilmany and then in Chirnside, and then following three years of preparatory schooling at Clifton Hall School near Edinburgh he was sent to Loretto School in Musselburgh, near Edinburgh.
Steven Ellison (born October 7, 1983), known by his stage name Flying Lotus or sometimes FlyLo, is an experimental multi-genre music producer, electronic musician, DJ and rapper from Los Angeles, California.
Flying Lotus has released five studio albums—1983 (2006), Los Angeles (2008), Cosmogramma (2010), Until the Quiet Comes (2012) and You're Dead! (2014)—to increasing critical acclaim. He has produced much of the bumper music on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim programming block. He also contributed remixes for fellow Plug Research artists including Mia Doi Todd.
In 2012, Ellison began rapping under the persona Captain Murphy, based on the Sealab 2021 character of the same name. Ellison kept this fact a secret for several months, finally revealing his identity several weeks after the release of his first rap mixtape, Duality.
Flying Lotus was born Steven Ellison on October 7, 1983, in Los Angeles, California. He is the grand-nephew of the late jazz pianist Alice Coltrane, and her husband saxophonist John Coltrane. He is also the first cousin once removed of musician Ravi Coltrane. Additionally, he is the grandson of singer-songwriter Marilyn McLeod, who is notable for having written Diana Ross's "Love Hangover" and Freda Payne's "I Get High (On Your Memory)", and who is the sister of Alice Coltrane. McLeod has been called by one writer "the biggest influence on Ellison's music".
Peter Snow finds out how Britain's successful Formula One industry has its origins in a remarkable amateur racing club and a visionary group of motor enthusiasts. He meets the surviving members of the Lotus Engineering team whose revolutionary car, the Lotus 25, changed the sport forever.

Damon Hill gets to drive the Lotus 25 at Aintree's old grand prix track, which was last used in 1964. The Lotus 25 is the car that Jim Clark drove in 1962's British Grand Prix which he went on to win. A wonderfully nostalgic short film from Sky Sports F1.

Cigar reviews cigar Lotus 25 Dual Flame Lighter Review http://cigarobsession.com http://bgpictures.com This is a dual flame cigar lighter, with both a natural soft flame plus a jet torch for those days when you need the extra oomph to overcome the wind. The soft flame is actualted by a downward sliding thumb lever on the side, while the torch is ignited via tilting the top over the side. It features a metal capped case with solid plastic inserts, rubberized grips on the front and a fuel level sight window. A single adjustment screw on the bottom is joined by a fill nipple. Burn time for the natural flame was 4:42 while the torch gave 5:10. Thank you very much to BuyLighters.com for sending this sample for review! Photography by BG Pictures. KING OF VEGAS RACE - WRAP UP (via http://trafikpictures.com) Riders from all over came out for the King of Vegas Race, the biggest street race of Interbike with over $1200 in CASH MONEY!! When Lucas Brunelle rolled thru with his helmet cam, we knew it was going to be a good night. Nighttime in Vegas is surreal, it’s still hot as day and the neon lights of the strip are like artificial, colored, sunlight. Vegas traffic is thick with un-apologetic taxi cabs and angry locals.”You’re gonna cause an accident!” screamed one old lady with a cigarette hanging from her mouth, as we were casually cruising to the meet-up spot. C’mon lady, give me 3. Riders began streaming in early to pick up their manifests. NY, SF, LA, Portland, and mad other cities were represented. Who would be the King of Vega...
