Damn Yankees was an American hard rock supergroup. The band was formed in 1989, consisting of Tommy Shaw of Styx, Jack Blades of Night Ranger, Ted Nugent of The Amboy Dukes and a successful solo career, and Michael Cartellone (then an unknown drummer who would later join Lynyrd Skynyrd).

Damn Yankees was an American hard rock supergroup. The band was formed in 1989, consisting of Tommy Shaw of Styx, Jack Blades of Night Ranger, Ted Nugent of The Amboy Dukes and a successful solo career, and Michael Cartellone (then an unknown drummer who would later join Lynyrd Skynyrd).
Produced by rock producer Ron Nevison, the new band’s self-titled debut album went double-platinum in 1990. Jack Blades’s leading single "Coming of Age" hit No. 60 on the U.S. Hot 100, and No. 1 on the AOR charts, while Tommy Shaw’s "Come Again" received extensive AOR airplay.

Gwen Verdon - Damn Yankees! (1958) - Whatever Lola Wants
Damn Yankees is a 1958 musical film made by Warner Bros., a modern version of the Faust story involving the New York Yankees and Washington Senators baseball teams. The film is based on the 1955 Broadway musical of the same name. The film version was directed by George Abbott, as was the earlier stage version, with assistance from Stanley Donen. With the exception of Tab Hunter in the role of Joe Hardy (replacing Stephen Douglass), the Broadway principals reprised their stage roles, including Gwen Verdon as Lola. A notable difference between film and stage versions was Gwen Verdon's performance of the song "A Little Brains". For the film, Verdon's suggestive hip movements (as choreographed by Bob Fosse and performed on stage) were considered too risqué for a mainstream American film in 1... -

Damn Yankees is a 1958 musical film made by Warner Bros., a modern version of the Faust story involving the New York Yankees and Washington Senators baseball teams. The film is based on the 1955 Broadway musical of the same name.
The film version was directed by George Abbott, as was the earlier stage version, with assistance from Stanley Donen. With the exception of Tab Hunter in the role of Joe Hardy (replacing Stephen Douglass), the Broadway principals reprised their stage roles, including Gwen Verdon as Lola.

DAVID KRANE arranged & produced two songs for Golden Globe Winner and Oscar nominated Michelle Williams to sing as Marilyn Monroe in the acclaimed film, MY WEEK WITH MARILYN, has created the dance music & additional score adaptation for the Oscar-winning film, CHICAGO (dir. Rob Marshall), has written all new music arrangements with additional score adaptation for the film version of NINE, (dir. Rob Marshall), was Michael Douglas' NY piano coach for BEHIND THE CANDELABRA, and has coached Meryl Streep for the upcoming film version of INTO THE WOODS, for which he has adapted the musical score.
He composed ASPIRE with Stephen Cole, the first ever commissioned American musical produced in the Middle East, which premiered in Doha, Qatar in November, 2005, scored for 70 piece orchestra, and his musical comedy, THE ROAD TO QATAR, also with Stephen Cole is about his incredible experience writing ASPIRE, premiered in Dallas to rave reviews, won Best New Musical Award '09-10 from the Dallas-Fort Worth Critics Forum, was on three 10 best lists for the year, subsequently produced by the York Theatre in NYC, and will be produced for the 2013 Edinburgh Festival this summer. It is now licensed by Josef-Weinberger, and the original NY cast recording is on Jay Records (jayrecords.com, amazon.com).

As the Yankees desperately try to remain relevant this season, Michael Pineda delivered his finest outing of the year and they won for a fourth straight game. Perhaps if the right-hander pitched like he did in Wednesday’s 5-0 over the Orioles in The Bronx more often, the Yankees wouldn’t be in such trouble as the trade deadline approaches ... It was Teixeira’s eighth homer of the season and gave the Yankees a 2-0 lead....
