Gun moll
A gun moll (aka gangster moll) is the female companion of a male professional criminal. In some contexts, 'gun moll' more specifically suggests that the woman handles a firearm.
When the term came into usage in the first decade of the 20th century, "gun" was not derived from the firearm, but from the Yiddish word meaning "thief," variously transliterated into English as ganefthe, gonif, goniff, or ganof, itself derived from Hebrew "Ganav" (גנב). However, this distinction gradually disappeared, especially when such women became associated with gangsters noted for their frequent use of guns.
"Moll" derives from "Molly", used as a euphemism for "whore" or "prostitute" and attested at least since 17th century England.
In the U.S., the term has mostly been applied to a woman associating with an American gangster of the 1920s and 1930s, and in most cases remarkable only because of his notoriety. Extended use of the term without awareness of the Yiddish root, however, has invited interpretations of "gun" as suggesting more than simply criminal associations. Bonnie Parker and Blanche Barrow were gun molls in this stronger sense, and especially notable examples in general, because of their accompanying the rest of the Barrow Gang to the planned locations of violent crimes, and in Parker's case, apparently directly assisting at least to the extent of loading guns in the midst of shootouts.

Gun
A gun is a normally tubular weapon or other device designed to discharge projectiles or other material. The projectile may be solid, liquid, gas or energy and may be free, as with bullets and artillery shells, or captive as with Taser probes and whaling harpoons. The means of projection varies according to design but is usually effected by the action of gas pressure, either produced through the rapid combustion of a propellant or compressed and stored by mechanical means, operating on the projectile inside an open-ended tube in the fashion of a piston. The confined gas accelerates the movable projectile down the length of the tube, imparting sufficient velocity to sustain the projectile's travel once the action of the gas ceases at the end of the tube or muzzle. Alternatively, acceleration via electromagnetic field generation may be employed in which case the tube may be dispensed with and a guide rail substituted.
The first devices identified as guns appeared in China around CE 1000. By the 12th century the technology was spreading through the rest of Asia, and into Europe by the 13th century.

Thomanerchor Leipzig "h-Moll Messe" Johann Sebastian Bach (BWV 232) Thomaskirche Leipzig (2000)
Diese Aufzeichnung ist ein Gedenkkonzert zum 250. Todestag von Johann Sebastian Bach, das am 28. Juli 2000 in der Leipziger Thomaskirche stattfand. Bekannterweise ist die Thomaskirche jener Ort, an dem Bach über 25 Jahre als Kantor tätig war. Die ausführenden Musiker dieser Aufnahme sind somit die direkten Nachfolger der Bach'schen Tradition und das Konzert erinnert an die musikalischen Gottesdienste jener Zeit. Die h-Moll Messe, die auch als "musikalisches Testament" Bachs gilt, wurde von August 1748 bis Oktober 1749 komponiert und zeugt von der großen künstlerischen Reife des Meisters. In der neueren Forschung gilt sie als sein letztes vollendetes Werk und ist auch in diesem Sinne von Interesse. He was also a pioneer of economic journalism.
The Fortunes and Misfortunes of the Famous Moll Flanders (commonly known simply as Moll Flanders) is a novel written by Daniel Defoe in 1721, after his work as a journalist and pamphleteer. By 1721, Defoe had become a recognised novelist, with the success of Robinson Crusoe in 1719. His political work was tapering off at this point, due to the fall of both Whig and Tory party leaders with whom he had been associated; Robert Walpole was beginning his rise, and Defoe was never fully at home with the Walpole group. Defoe's Whig views are nevertheless evident in the story of Moll, and the novel's full title gives some insight into this and the outline of the plot:
