X Factor Australia: Redfoo's Jiordan Tolli eliminated after showdown with Third D3gree

A DEADLOCK instigated by Ronan Keating has forced Jiordan Tolli out of The X Factor, leaving her mentor Redfoo "gutted".
Tolli was in the final showdown against Third D3gree, who managed to survive another week, after Keating could not decide who to send home himself.

Tolli sang Lana Del Ray's hit Young and Beautiful. Third D3gree then performed Macklemore's Thift Shop.
Both were well received by fans on Twitter, who noted these are the music genres both contestants should be singing, contrary to some of the songs they have performed over the course of the competition.
Really didn't think Jiordan was the right act to leave tonight... Congrats on getting this far and best of luck in the future #xfactorau

After delivering the bad news to Tolli - in what felt like one of the longest pauses in X Factor history this season, RedFoo said he was "gutted" and "upset".
"I feel gutted, I'm very upset, but that's life and I know the one thing I feel good about is that Jiordan gave it her all every performance ... Jiordan style, she knows who she is...from day one she's been singing with that Jiordan Tolli style and I think she's going to have a huge career in the music business."
While he acknowleged that Third D3gree had been strugglnig as a group, Redfoo did congratulate them for their performance.
"I didn't want to like it, but it was really good," he said.
Before taking to deadlock, Keating said they both gave "very different, composed" performances.
"Third D3gree you've been on and off, but you've worked really hard," he said.
"I don't want to be the judge that makes this decision".
Tolli's exit comes after Dami Im, Jai Waetford and Taylor Henderson were all told they were safe from elimination.
On Sunday night's live show, Tolli sang Gotye worldwide hit Somebody That I Used To Know.
The perennial struggler, 19, said she took heart from the fact last year's winner Samantha Jade had also found herself in the bottom two on more than one occasion.
Henderson was the only X Factor contestant with a song in the Top 10 on iTunes after Sunday night. His performance of One Crowded Hour has placed him at no.10 on the iTunes chart on Monday night.
Henderson was the only one to get a unanimous standing ovation from the judges and looked very, very accomplished.
A sign of his ability is that he had never even heard the song before singing it and to use the most popular cliché on this year's show, he 'nailed' it.
Third D3gree will now complete the final four.
Their mentor Natalie Bassingthwaighte said: "Third D3gree I just love you guys, you work harder than anybody I have ever know, I know what Foo's saying ... if you can come out here and do it in 3 days, imagine if you had 6 months to rehearse."
They are one of the freshest acts to grace X Factor since Cher Llloyd in the UK and the two girls from New South Wales, Kelebek (Albury) and Jacinta (Sydney) are exceptionally strong vocally.
Guest performers James Arthur and Havana Brown also impressed X Factor viewers, particularly Brown with her performance of her new song, Warrior.
Fans had nothing but praise for her after she ripped up the stage and danced while she sang her lungs out - literally - and did not miss a word or a beat
@djhavanabrown great performance on #xfactorau tonight. Well done all. Production was tops. @umusicAU

Many also enjoyed Arthur's performance of You're Nobody Til' Someone Loves You, but criticised him for having too much tanning or bronzer on.
Sorry @thexfactor_au but James Arthur has too much bronzer on his face either that or spray tan gone wrong 😁😁 #xfactorau
