Rumours swirl that the Rory McIlroy and Caroline Wozniacki romance is over

THEIR Twitter feeds have been crammed with photos of each other for the last few years but reports out of the UK today suggest that golfing sensation Rory McIlroy took exception to one particular post by his girlfriend.

On Sept 16 tennis star Caroline Wozniacki posted the below embarrassing picture online of McIlroy with the message: 'Jetlag @mcilroyrory? Lol!!'.

We think you'll agree it's a less than flattering picture. But is it worthy of a break-up?

The 23-year-old Danish star, who once described McIlroy, 24, as her "ideal boyfriend", is said to be "absolutely devastated" by the split.

A more plausible reason could be McIlroy's recent slump in form. The Northern Irish national, who recently signed a deal with Nike worth over $131 million, only recorded one top ten finish all year.

Former golfing great Gary Player recently said: "If you're a young man like Rory, you can't play with worries. You can't have managerial problems, you can't have women problems. You've got to be out there and have a free mind."
