Jadeja belong to the Yaduvanshi Rajputs or Chandravanshi (Moon Dynasty) Rajputs. They are one of the 36 royal dynasties of old tracing their origins to Krishna. They ruled huge parts of Kathiawar peninsula and Kutch until India's independence in 1947.

Ravindrasinh Anirudhsinh Jadeja (born 6 December 1988) is an Indian cricketer. He is a left-handed middle-order batsman and slow left-arm orthodox bowler. Jadeja represents Saurashtra in first class cricket, and Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League. He was part of the victorious Indian U-19 cricket team that won the World Cup in Malaysia in 2008. He was also represented Indian in the 2009 and 2010 ICC Twenty20 World Cups.

He caught the attention of the national selectors with his strong all-round showing in the 2008-09 Ranji Trophy - 42 wickets and 739 runs - and was promptly picked for the ODI series in Sri Lanka.His international debut came in the final match of the series on 8 February 2009 where he scored 60*, even though India lost the match. In the 2009 World Twenty20 Jadeja was criticised for not scoring at the requisite run rate in India's loss to England. Jadeja's World Twenty20 jinx continued with a dismal bowling performance against Australia in the next edition of the tournament in 2010 which cost India dearly, with India losing the match and bowing out of the tournament. After the incumbent all rounder Yusuf Pathan suffered a loss of form, Jadeja took his place at No. 7 in the ODI team in late-2009. In the third ODI against Sri Lanka in Cuttack on 21 December 2009, Jadeja was awarded the man of the match award following a haul of four wickets. His best bowling figure is 4-32.

Ajaysinhji Daulatsinhji Jadeja (Sindhi: اجي جاڙيجا) ( pronunciation (help·info)) was born on 1 February 1971 in Jamnagar, Gujarat. He was a regular in the Indian cricket team between 1992 and 2000, playing in 15 Test matches and 196 One Day Internationals. His cricketing achievements were overshadowed by a 5 year ban for match-fixing. The ban was later quashed by the Delhi High Court on 27 January 2003, making Jadeja eligible to play domestic and international cricket. He was most remembered for quick hitting in the finishing overs in late 1990s.

Jadeja was born into a family which has a cricketing pedigree. His relatives include K. S. Ranjitsinhji, after whom the Ranji Trophy is named, and K. S. Duleepsinhji, for whom the Duleep Trophy is named.

Jadeja was a regular in the Indian cricket team between 1992 and 2000, playing in 15 Test matches and 196 One Day Internationals. He was regarded as one of the best fielders in the Indian team in his time. One of his most remembered innings was his cameo innings in 1996 Cricket World Cup quarter-final against arch rivals Pakistan when he blasted 45 off 25 balls, including 40 from the final two overs by Waqar Younis. Jadeja along with Mohammed Azharuddin holds the record for the highest one day partnership record for the 4th and 5th wicket, set against Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka respectively. Jadeja is also renowned for remarkable fielding and considered one of the safest pairs of hands in the Indian team during his tenure.

Robin Singh  pronunciation (help·info), full name Rabindra Ramanarayan Singh (Tamil: ரபீந்திர ராம் நாராயண் சிங், Hindi: रवींद्र राम नारायण सिंह, b. November 14, 1963, S R Nagar, Princes Town, Trinidad) is a former cricketer (batsman) who played for India. He is currently the coach of Mumbai Indians. He was known for his brilliant running between the wickets, diving efforts to make the crease and great fielding ability.

Robin Singh was born in Trinidad and Tobago to Indian parents, he moved to India early in his life and played his early cricket in Madras. He currently resides in Adayar, Chennai, although his parents still live in Trinidad.

Robin Singh started his first class career for Tamil Nadu during the 1981-82 season. He was a genuine all rounder for his club and made more than 6,000 runs and also took 172 wickets with his gentle medium fast bowling during a first class career that spanned more than two decades.

Robin Singh made his debut for India in One Day Internationals against West Indies on March 11, 1989, however he was dropped after the series. Singh had to wait another seven years to secure a regular place in the Indian team. On the back of consistent performances in domestic cricket Singh was recalled for the Titan Cup tournament in 1996. He remained a regular in the ODIs till 2001. Singh was known for his middle-lower order batting and medium-pace bowling as well as his ground fielding skills. He was noted for his batting in the closing overs (usually along with Ajay Jadeja) which made him an integral part of the side that competed in the 1999 Cricket World Cup. During his playing days, he was regarded as one of the best fielders of the Indian cricket team. Throughout his career Singh was considered a better fit for One Day matches and he played just one test match for his country.

Ricky Thomas Ponting AO (born 19 December 1974), nicknamed Punter, is an Australian cricketer, a former captain of the Australia national cricket team between 2004 and 2011 in Test cricket and 2002 and 2011 in One Day International cricket. He is a specialist right-handed batsman, slips and close catching fielder, as well as a very occasional bowler. He represents the Tasmanian Tigers in Australian domestic cricket, the Hobart Hurricanes in the Big Bash League, and played in the Indian Premier League with the Kolkata Knight Riders in 2008.

His Test debut followed shortly after, when selected for the first Test of the 1995 home series against Sri Lanka in Perth, in which he scored 96. He lost his place in the national team several times in the period before early-1999, due to lack of form and discipline, before becoming One Day International captain in early-2002 and Test captain in early-2004.
